Hey, she's worth war assets. Did no-one get to the paragon interrupt in that conversation? (I guess not, you all socked her one didn't you?).catgirl789 wrote...
I had cut myself off from twitter the week ME3 came out to avoid spoilers. I'm sorry I missed this. After that stupid paparazzi woman bothered me (I was honestly tempted to have my ParaShep punch her out this time) I wondered where the only good reporter we had ever met went, especially when I saw that man reporter on the tvs on the Citadel. Now I know. RIP Ms. Wong
It's not like the game lacks female-female love interests anyway. What there is a shortage of is men for femshep (though clearly the opinion in here is somewhat biased in favour of the one male LI romance we do have).catgirl789 wrote...
Edit: Never mind she isn't. I guess
more guys asked for Kaidan than girls asked for Ashley? Though I can see
why everyone would want Kaidan.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/love.png[/smilie]

My husband doesn't get it either. He's a little jealous. He was of Alistair, too, though, so I just try to save those scenes for when he's not around.
Also, it was painfully obvious that Tali's "squadmate" status was an afterthought. I mean, I think it's great that BW tried to put it in to make the fans happy *cough*newending*cough*, but the majority of her development took place on Rannoch, and then I had like 2 real conversations with her afterwards. Although, one of the highlights of the game was finding her in the lounge after dealing with Miranda's daddy issues. Come to think of it, I could use an emergency induction port for my beer right about now.
Ooooh, two great ideas here! Alistair + Emergency Induction Port = best ME3 recovery therapy ever. I think I'm going to replay DA:O now!
...sorry Kaidan. I just can't resist licking lampposts in winter!

I hadn't thought of that, but probably true. ME2 never really addressed Shepard's memorial, if it happened. I kinda thought they should've talked about that at some point. Kaidan alluded to those issues on Horizon and follow up email, but everyone else was all "Hey, Shepard, is that really you? Cool!!"Darazelly wrote...
Just a... slightly depressing thought for fellow Spacer Shepards out there... isn't there a pretty large chance that Kaidan has already met Shepard's mom at whatever memorial that might've been held for her after the Normandy went down? I mean, hewas in the field with Shepard, I'd assume they'd be introduced or that he'd seek her out to give her his condolences, especially if romanced. Or is there some dialogue out there that contradicts this theory?

Just thought I'd pop in and give my support in these uncertain times.
Until BioWare gives us a definitive response on the ending, try to concentrate on what we have, not what we lost...and what we have is a wonderful character by the name of Kaidan Alenko. And while our current situation regarding our Sheps and Kaidan is currently filled with anger and tears (my personal ending hell was last weekend - I was up all Saturday night and broke down Sunday afternoon at lunch with my parents - talk about awkward!), remember that our Shepards and Kaidan are always in our minds, ready to be recalled at a moment's notice with endings written to our standards.
That being said, I'm posting my ending once again. A million thanks goes to Aimo (Irma) Ahmed, who always manages to convey my hopes into works of art.
"The Reapers were defeated. The galaxy, brought together by Commander Shepard's determination, began to rebuild. And what of Shepard himself? Once he was reuinted with Kaidan Alenko, he wasted no time in asking him to spend the rest of their days together.
And They Lived Happily Ever After."

Induction port me, beer helps solve all. It's still a crappy ending, but it's a mildly less crappy one. If it was this whole indoctrination thing people have talked about then that's not such a far fetching idea and leaves hope for alternates. If not, then meh, there's a chance my shep survived on a planet in a solar system with at least a few engineers - they'll build something and get her and Kaidan back together.
Datapad app - two big problems. 1. it came out too late and 2. it won't work on my older ipod touch. grr.

Maybe I'm imagining things, but wasn't it in her cell on Earth at the beginning? And since Alliance HQ went kaplooey, I assumed that was why we didn't see it on the ship.
Was it? That is awesome, thank you. I wish I saw it too. Are there screen shots maybe? I still can't bring myself to replay it again.

That was another bit I messed up with my first Shepard. As soon as I hit the Normandy and picked up Kaidan I thought to myself that if I didn't take the renegade interrupt he might have done it, or another squaddie, and Kaidan would be less concerned/confused. But I was too excited to have Kaidan back to reload and correct. And I thought that my next Shep would fix it, but now, umm, maybe at least I can replay this Shep from an earlier save. I don't think I can put my cannon through that ending until I know that it'll be fixed somehow.catgirl789 wrote...
I ended up killing Udina myself. I thought if I didn't he would take a shot at the Asari councilor and then we'd all be screwed. Didn't realize Kaidan would've taken it till after I beat the game.
Ugh, I think it's time for bed. I'll go cry myself to sleep now.

I was a little disappointed that nothing more came out of Kaidan being a Spectre though. I was kind of hoping for a special Spectre co-op mission but nope.

Tell me about itA friend dropped by to visit me, and one discussion led to another, so she wanted me to show her the ME3 ending. That's the fourth time I've had to play through it, and it feels bloody awful each and every time
Just smack her across the face next time, it's the same thing.

LOL. As godawful as the endings were I am still absolutely satisfied with the Kaidan romance arc

The worst part is when I started to tear up at the end, she just looked at me and wondered what the big deal was.
Then again, I had to correct her that Joker is the pilot, the ship is called the Normandy, and not all the "weird blue people" are identical. And I question myself, why am I friends with this person? I hate people who pretend to be interested in games when they're really just in it for the attention.
