I'm thinking of loading my Shep that romanced Kaidan then Thane but I feel horrible. I'll prolly end up rejecting Thane for Kaidan plus I kept hearing there's consequences for cheating. Btw, what's your favorite class? I played Adept on hardcore and insanity and it was super fun. How about a good class for insanity again? The challenge makes the game longer lol.
I think it's only if you lie about it, though I could be wrong.

In all the years I have played, and all the Sheps Ive run through... I have only ever done Vanguard.
I think I need to branch out more
Sov: I am the vanguard of your destruction ...
Shep: NO I AM! *BOOM*
Yes, I'll admit... insanity is making me a little insane. So is staying up all night to read this and play ME lol

For someone who did exactly that, there are no dire consequences if you don't go for the [LIE]
option on the dialogue wheel, and even then it's repairable. Personally, I'm a bit upset that there is no option for saying that Shep DID NOT F-KING CHEAT. I mean, for cheating to occur , you'd have to be in a relationship to begin with. As far as I'm concerned, Kaidan made it pretty clear on Horizon that there wasn't any or that he wasn't even sure he wanted one.
Whoever wrote this resolution must have an emotion span of a tween, since no adult would have the gall to behave the way Kaidan did.

I heard Shepard say's no but asks him to stay with her anyway so he just holds her in his arms until she falls asleep.

Sorry for the repost, but this version of Major Kirrahe's speech is too good to be missed:
You all know the DLC, and what is at stake.
I have come to trust BioWare with my life - but I have also hear murmurs of discontent. I share your concerns.
We are seeking an answer; we would receive one, but the records are sealed. Glory for Shepard's squad is not our way.
Think of our heroes; Garrus Vakarian, who defeated an empty bottle with a single shot. Or Chris Priestley, who kept legions of fans at bay with hidden facts.
These giants do not seem to give us solace here, but they are not all that we are.
Before Mass Effect 3's ending, there was Mass Effect 2's ending. Before the god-child, there was the awesome showdown with the Illusive Man!
Our quest may give us answers, but until then, we will hold the line!
Our hopes for Shepard may be realised, but until then, we will hold the line!
Our influence will give us what we seek; in the battle today, WE WILL HOLD THE LINE!

I agree. I felt really angry about the cheating comments! And if you look at posted Male Shep videos on You Tube he tells Ashley off when she says he cheated!!!! That made me even madder. my only dialog options are a wimpy apology, lying or wimpier appology and I'm Commander F-ing Shepherd - Savior of the Galaxy, not a dumb little girl. I almost ended the romance w/ Kaiden b/c I wanted to say "look buddy. I came back from the dead and all I get is a little hug and a telling off and then you send me one semi apology email in over 6 months....that's not a commited relationship!" I think I'll have that made into a T-shirt. "I died and all I got was a crummy email and this T-shirt"
Other than the hideous piano music and the cheating comments, I did enjoy the romance. I liked the date and the loved the more confident Kaiden. It seemed like they should have talked about the fact that he outranks her now. And I would love for there to be more flirting/buildup. I don't think they could ever put too much flirting sexual tension in for me!

Listening to the soundtrack, reminding me that the other 99% of the game is completely awesome and I want to play again now... maybe I'll just stop when I get to the final part with my other three sheps.

:jaw drops: wait...wait a minute! BroShep gets to tell Ashley off?!! Oh c'mon! HOW COME WE DON'T GET SUCH A DRAMATIC SCENE?! I've pretty much resigned myself about the apology part but I was pretty PO'd that he expected us to be faithful (which I was in 3 playthroughs) when he was pretty steamed and wishy washy about being together. I mean I get his was upset but his letter could have been more expansive about his feelings. As Ross says "WE WERE ON A BREAK!!!" lol Does anyone have a link to this Ashley scene?xenacrocker wrote...

all i needed was a couple of days of raging and feeling sick, some MP time with the girls from the forums speculating on all of this stuff thats going on, then that leak and the article from Casey saying that the players will determine what type of DLC Bioware puts out and I was calm and ready and excited to play the game again...
now im enjoying the crap out of it again, remembering that for 98% of this game I love love loved it, now if only my husband would hurry the heck up and let me have the game at night as well as all day, i'd be sorted heheh

That's... really interesting. I knew there was an original plan to force you to make a "Virmire"-like decision between Liara and the VS, but I didn't know the details.LadyofRivendell wrote...
Hm, that reminds me, anyone else remember the rough draft leaked script?
From what I recall, it had Kaidan and some mysterious new partner of his working together on something on Mars. After Kaidan was injured and taken to the Citadel, you had to go on a mission with his partner to Eden Prime, where something came up and you were forced to kill the partner.
Kaidan gets news of this from Kai Leng, who then uses it to turn him against Shepard. Then there was a mission (to Thessia, I believe) where you had to try to get the Prothean (Javik, presumably, but in a stasis state) before Cerberus could. But when you got there, you see Kai Leng already waiting for you, with Kaidan at his side. Kaidan confronts you about killing his partner, and whose side you're actually on. Then you either had to kill him or persuade him, and then there was a boss battle with Leng. Afterwards, Shepard got seriously injured, and the building they were in began to collapse. Then you had to choose between saving Liara and saving Kaidan, because you didn't have the strength to get to both of them.
Just reminiscing. Man, a lot of that script sure changed. Makes it sort of funny how everyone was panicking when it was leaked.
The whole story arc for this is a little bit more interesting than what we have in-game currently but I'm so glad they ultimately didn't introduce this "partner" because a new character would've complicated the story more. Plus I think the issue of trust is better dealt with during the Cerberus coup plot than here, because the mistrust is based more on you working for Cerberus in 2 than killing some "partner" I just met in the game.
That plus I would NEVER choose between Liara and Kaidan! Those two are my main squaddies... my OG Saren Squad... they helped me beat Sovereign.

What was everyones reactions to Kaidan talking about EDI scaring the **** out of him when he saw her in her new robo body closely followed by "she looks good though" and his reaction to the Ardat-Yakshi where he says he that he would have been a goner if he had met one. I was like "Oi, you're supposed to only have eyes for Shep!" - Then I remembered that femshep pretty much flirts with Vega all the way through the game lol.
I romanced him and was expecting:
Shep: Hey!
Kaidan: Ah-woops! Sorry.
Shep: *grumble*

Ashley, on the other hand, flipped out when she found out about my hubby's BroShep getting involved with Miranda. She's all, "SO WHO IS MIRANDA LAWSON? YOU KNOW, I DON'T HAVE PERFECT GENES, SORRY. I DON'T PARADE AROUND IN A SWIMSUIT ALL PERFECT," and Shepard finally tells her to knock it off - she ended it, and he wasn't waiting.
I don't think Kaidan's reaction warranted getting a verbal smackdown, because he wasn't at all accusatory. If he'd pulled an Ashley and was all, "I'M SORRY I CAN'T HAVE SUPER COOL HALLUCINOGENIC BODY FLUIDS WHILE WE DO THE FREAKNASTY," then I would have wanted an option to kick his biotic ass to the curb.
