Edit: It's amazing what a different impact the same line can have when said in two different ways.

You can kill Wrex in ME3? Why would you do that!? (Both as in why would anyone want to he's such a cool guy and what situation arises that would make you want to do that?)

Wrex confronts you on the Citadel when he finds out you sabotaged the genophage cure, then it turns into a gun fight.

It's worth watching the videos just to see how well done they are, the voice actors are very talented... well, except Diane Allers/Jessica Chobot.

Too true, I was amazed at how the whole scene could change based on the tone of voice, even if the script was largely the same! And something always seemed off to me about Allers. I thought it was just because I had heard bad things about her appearance even before I saw her, but I think her outdit kind of killed her most for me. Whatever it was that bothered me, it felt good kicking her off the ship when I knew I couldn't get anymore resources out of her.

Also heard a convo on the Citadel about Engineers not being put on the front lines and lol'd a bit. *plays engineer Shepard*. And was just talking to Chakwas made me feel better about working with Cereberus. I love that woman, she's my poor colony Shep's surrogate mum or at the very least a crazy aunt.

I wanted to sabotage the genophage in my renegade femshep but I didn't want to have to kill Wrex and Mordin later on - they are great mates to shep.  So my plan now goes back to ME1 - let Ashley kill Wrex, then leave Ash to die as payback, and unfortunately Mordin is going to have to die in the SM in ME2,  that way Wreav never finds out you didn't cure the genophage.

Yes to the first, no to the second, at least not from any of the "paragon" options.  If no one knows I can experiment with it later.

I love listening to him too.  I didn't start out that way but his voice has really grown on me.

I think I recall reading that the second is when you let him down nicely during the date scene. Not certain on that, though, and I'm definitely not going to test that!

Wow. If that wasn't the intention for the ending...the Bioware devs are probably kicking themselves right now that they left such an obvious potential ending unattended...

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I started a 2nd playthrough just for the Datapad app and to see what additional texts you get from Kaidan (and hoping for a post-ending text!).

Here's what I got so far - SPOILERS:

After hospital visit: Heard you came by while I was out. Thanks, Commander. I'm up, most of the time, at least.

After he becomes a Spectre: I'll try to do humanity proud as a Spectre. Know I've got a lot to live up to.

After the date if you romance him: Hey. I'm so happy. That's all. How can the future be so unsure and so bright at the same time. Yours, Kaidan.

I'll keep updating as I play further! The app is worth it, also because of the other texts you get. Javik has some hilarious ones, e.g. "please evolve, it's demeaning to have to type like this".

EDIT: I just realized this could be spoilery for some, so added the Spoiler tag. I just posted as I know not everyone has an iPhone. Let me know if you'd rather I didn't post!

Wish they had made this app availble for my kindle fire...I don't have an iphone or ipad....  I'll just keep up with your posts.  Sound awesome!

Ok I've come to the dark side, supporter of the Indoctrination ending lol It will be funny if it's completely not intended, but if it is, kudos to bioware. Surprising contented now.

Also the video a few pages back of 'Friendly Kaidan' is so adorable! I can play my Liara LI mShep now and not be tempted, the whole 'brother' line is so cute. Does anyone have a video of Kaidan's goodbye for a none romance?

Cathleen Rootsaert. She's a theater writer and actress. ME3 was the first video game she she got writing credits for, but she already worked with Bioware on TOR and ME2 as dialogue editor. No matter her background, I think she did an amazing job with Kaidan. Already tried to firnd her twitter/facebook but it doesn't seem like she has one :/

I killed Wrex in ME1, Eve died and Mordin STILL died.

I'm playing on PC, so I don't think it's a platform thing. Maybe it's just a bug then. Would be my first bug encountered in the game, apart from that strange invisible trap I seem to step into whenever I go talk to Joker in the cockpit...
Maybe it'll work on my second playthrough, 'cause I really hate missing out on any conversations Especially when they are related to Kaidan.

Not just you, I got caught on the invisible cockpit of doom bug twice and had to reload (PC) - it's a freaky little error, reminds me of when I would run around sideways in ME2 while fighting and end up stuck on top of walls sometimes. Physics thing I suspect.

No, it's not possible to save Mordin with Wrex. Eve'ss death means you will just have bit less Krogan support.
