Shepard was rebuilt from bits of Reaper tech too though and she survived. Also EDI is the Normandy thus, it would have blown up or stopped working as soon as the Reapers were destroyed, in which case Joker wouldn't have been able to crash/land without killing everyone, he'd need the duel control of EDI to pull through safely.

... We all remember what happened the last time Joker tried to pull a stunt like that during ME2 with the first Normandy lol.

Hmm, I wouldn't think that's accurate, but instead of getting into it, I'd rather post a Kaidan pic.

Well, Shepard doesn't always live. There is a lot of synthetic tech in her but the reason why she can live and they can't is that she's not ALL synthetic. I'm not sure what the rationale is for why you need a certain galactic readiness for Shepard to live is, though.

I choose to believe he's faking his own death so he can take a nap while Shepard goes off and saves the day. He's half-dead anyway so he wouldn't be of any use to her.

I remember seeing one video that got me interested in the indoctrination theory. When you destroy the repears, the kid blinks out almost immediately. If you pick control, he stands there for a long time kind of staring at you with what looks like a smirk.

Yeah, I do wonder if Shepard was REALLY the only organic to get that far or if there's a long line of people choosing control and then 50,000 years later being driven crazy and resuming the cycle. It's my head-canon that a control Shepard does eventually come around to starchild's POV of sends the Reapers out.

I never got those scenes either. Are you playing on Xbox? I started a second playthrough I'm really hoping it works this time. Did anyone else have a problem triggering these? Maybe it's an Xbox issue. Grr I hope it works this time. It's really jarring to know I'm missing stuff

I missed the first one too but I *think* it's because I didn't talk to him after the second hospital visit.  The one where he says "We're good together."  I kind of ran out afterwards squeeing but I think based on what I've seen you can talk to him again to get the usual "investigate" normal non-romantic dialogue circle.

The second one I got without hearing a notification from Sam.  I just made my usual OCD dialogue rounds and it came up after the Jacob mission.

I'm working on a self-portrait in Photoshop for school and was trying to incorporate some nerdy desktop picture, and guess what showed up immediately in google images for "desktop"?



I swear the Mass Effect ending is haunting me everywhere.

Yayyyyy! The scenes finally triggered for me! I was very careful to follow the romance "flow". I waited to get the email from Kaidan for the date. ALSO when I got to the Normandy after getting Kaidan back I made sure to talk to him right away to get his Mother convo THEN to Dr Chakwas to get the side quest about the medical supplies. I did that quest right away bec I remember on my first pt her wanting to talk to me after coincided with Kaidan wanting to talk to me in the crew quarters. Maybe she cancelled his out. I ALSO made sure to do Jacob's quest AFTER ANOTHER side quest so Dr Chakwas would have the opportunity to ask me for a drink. THEN I did Jacob. I also made sure to talk to Kaidan first before anyone else (used to save him best for last lol). Oh and make sure to save before you talk to him just so you can reload if it doesn't trigger!!
EDIT: Sorry if it's confusing I'll clarify if anyone has questions

Well. Finished the game. The ending was a meh. Would have liked it if the last few cutscenes happened at earth. Kind of sad about leaving Kaidan alone once again. Sad, indeed.

But Kaidan was such a romantic. Such a geek. Did you guys hear the conversation between him and Tali over which model of omni-tools was the best? Ha!
Also him still drooling over Asari was priceless. ^^

I wonder if EDI has any reaper left in her. Throughout the game she's changing her code so even if it started off the same by the end its vastly different making her as similar to the reapers as humans are to husks

Afraid to burst everyone's bubble, but it's just an imperfect mesh. The lids don't meet perfectly and it's okay most of the time, especially from an upward angle, but when the angle is from slightly below it's really apparent. The lower and upper lids of Shepard's eyes don't meet perfectly, either.

The "shine" is because the sclera is shiny... and slightly mottled. (dimpled) like a golf ball.

It's possible, but I've got shots from that whole scene (my screenshot taker does it in bursts) and you don't see it often, even when eyes are closed.

And I know they've done deliberate tears for characters like Liara.  So hey, I choose to believe.

Yeah, Kaidan is crying in the "I can't lose you again" part. I think Shep is about to, that's why she just gives him a short "yeah" before she leaves.

I'm going to have to find a vid of Kaidan killing Udina if you don't take the renegade interrupt. I couldn't help myself and basically acted on impulse because I have NEVER liked Udina. I immediately called shenanigans when he was being so nice to Shepard, it just didn't add up.

Also, when Kaidan says "I hope I don't regret this", I got all scared at first until it was clear that he was siding with Shepard.
