Marauder Shields is the turian husk who tries to keep you from entering the beam at the end of the game.

He's the final enemy of the game, and he gives his life trying to keep you from having to see the ending.

I guess at least something good came out of those crappy endings - there's been some hilarious memes, spoofs and songs spawning from the monstrosity of it all LOL.

Couldn't you use your biotics on him? Or are they disabled during that part? I never actually thought of trying it myself since I was a bit bemused at the time lol.

Yep, it's right up there with Jimmy Vega. 

I agree, we need to make a memorial to the many enemies we faced that tried to warn us.  Still, Marauder Shields is special...he was all alone, and still he tried to stop us.  Rest in Peace, Reaper Prince.

It's a shame you can't pull Liara in front of you to use her as a human asari shield.  Her plot armor would surely withstand the onslaught of Marauder Shields.

Those stupid husks got me on Normal like 3 times,  because I didn't see them, and then I tried to use my powers, and then, just terrible aim...

I'm still really pissed off about the endings, especially after the final goodbye scenes you get with the Kaidan romance.

Talk about rotten luck, the poor guy spent all of ME1 lusting after her, then finally got the girl at the end but lost her thanks to Joker's little stunt during the start of ME2, took 2 years to get over her, just started to move on when she comes back from the dead, which ****s his head up for hell knows how long, only to finally be reunited with Shepard again in the third game, only to lose her a second time thanks to Joker pulling another stupid stunt LOL.

This is why my headcanon will not allow the two of them to be separate...they are either both dead or together.  I'd even be okay with Kaidan gone (*sobs*) and Shepard alive.  But not him without her.  Nope, can't do it.

That's another problem I have with the end - husks in one shot, fine, but a marauder in two shots by a wounded shep seems way wrong to me. Those guys move fast and I usually get Kaidan or Garrus to overload them before I bother shooting at them. What kind of pistol does Shep pick up, exactly? If there is genuinely a gun that powerful in the game, then how come I never figured out which one it was? (of course, if I missed The Best Pistol In The Game, then I'll feel like a fool and make sure I pick one up next playthrough)

Well it's clearly a magical gun because it allows you to kill both Marauder Shields and Anderson even if you're completely out of ammo.

You ever get the feeling that if Joker weren't so fragile Kaidan would seriously consider punching him?

Yup. I just don't understand why I can beat the rest of the game, banshees, brutes, ravagers and all, but can't get past this part. He kills me when I miss because of the wildly swaying reticule and he kills me when I try to aim at him.

I've got nothing going on all night, either, I'll most likely be on my 360 so I'm up for some multiplayer too! Though I'm awful at it and only use a Soldier because I haven't unlocked my beloved Asari Adept yet.
