:blink:Brain twins! I was literally about to ask this very thing. I always use his blue armor, so I never checked to see what the symbol was. Anyone have pics of his grey alternate armor?

I don't get why people are so against happy endings. Not all endings need to be happy, but I want to be the biggest dang hero in the galaxy and live to tell the tale, with Kaidan standing right beside me. Are happy endings really that bad?

And as for post-game "What would Shepard do?" why can't she/he continue serving the Alliance? That's what I would want, personally. Settling down? Too boring!
Of course, I'm an adventure adrenaline junkie who loves to feel heroic

I wanted a happy ending. I ain't even gonna lie.

The BEST feeling I EVER had playing a game was at the end of ME1 when everyone (including myself) thought Shepard was dead and she came running up through the rubble with a **** eating grin on her face.  THAT imo is the best ending to any game EVER.

Given what we learned about Kaidan from that friend!date, I choose to believe that it doesn't mean anything but Kaidan put it there so that people would wonder and he'd be more interesting.

Was that all it is? That's boring, James gets a cool jousting Knight on a horse and Ashley gets a Phoenix, but Kaidan just gets a military logo?

So my husband is playing ME3 and he saved Ashley. Hearing her dialog and I feel bad for the Ashley fans. We got amazing comments and cut scenes for what little we got. I understand their pain now.

Also, I'm tempted from now on to call straws, Emergency Induction Ports. I don't know if I can say that someone forgot mt EIP through a drive thru without laughing though

The more time that passes, the more I start to wish they'd just get over it and stick a happy ending in there and call it a day.

I don't even care about answers anymore or having it make any sense at all. If it's going to be stupid, then just make it something that I can consider a triumph and be done with.

I'll still fight for them fixing the Normandy crap, though, because that part's just offensive.

I liked that ending, although it wasn't exactly a shocker.

But their tired cinematic techniques didn't keep me from smiling, I'll admit.

I was in the drive thru with my friend yesterday and when she handed me my straw, I shouted, "Emergency Induction Port!" Both she and the guy at the service window gave me an odd look. I also made a reference to that while out to lunch with my mother earlier.
Hey, people may think I'm crazy, but at least I can make myself laugh :wizard:

I love how this game improved on facial animations.

(and yes, my Shep and Kaidan just did it)

I know, I LOVE the facial animations for the game! Hardly any derpy-looking moments, I think I can actually consider my FemShep "pretty" now, instead of wondering why any living being would be attracted to her.
The eyes, especially, seem much improved in ME3. Although throughout the first level, it looked like Kaidan was half asleep with his eyelids...

I loved the line that was used here.  "I lied, I didn't come up here for drinks."

Also liked what the guy on YouTube said about the ending.  'The idea that the player 'has' to do anything in a game like this is ridiculous."  He's right.  We should get a wide breadth of endings.  Happy, sad, bittersweet, ect.

Quick question, does anyone know how I get the Bro!Kaidan path? I read at some point that there were two paths, romance and bro, but my M!Shep keeps having to turn him down at the cafe. I mean, I loved Cortez's friendship path because when we got to Purgatory, he makes a comment about eye-candy on the dance floor and my Shep can be his usual Casanova self and make a comment on the female dancers. Is there any moment where I can pull that off with Kaidan?

Oh, we didn't do too badly. Ashley's hangover scene, her romance scene and her last scenes on Earth were absolutely fantastic.

You know, I think it's actually the Spectre symbol. I remember seeing a similar symbol by the sign of the Spectre Office.

Tela Vasir also has a similar logo on her armor: media.giantbomb.com/uploads/2/23880/1550540-masseffect2_2010_09_30_17_39_13_19.jpg

Check out the Spectre emblem here: images.wikia.com/masseffect/images/7/7e/Spectreslogo.png

@Sabreene: I absolutely love the Kaidan in that gray outfit. It's very tactical looking.

I LOOOVED the ending to Mass Effect 1! It just felt like a huge victory. Why can't one of ME3's endings be like that? :[

I know, that's my thinking, too. Although I would easily buy any LI DLC, I'll admit.

You have to be in a relationship before meeting him. So just hook up with somebody (Liara, I guess) and then go talk to him; you should get the friendship.

I think you can put off meeting him pretty much forever, so just don't go until you have an active romance.

what annoys me most about that whole statement of his is that they 'HAD' to give us a bittersweet ending.. that wasnt anything of the sort.. that was a confused idea that didnt work.. the sooner they admit that the better...

I hope that at least some of the feedback is saying that some of us want a happy ending...it frustrates me that you work your ass off throughout this WHOLE series and the pay off is some lame sci fi stupid ending...

Back to being frustrated at the ending zzzz

I wouldn't expect ending dlc soon (because if they actually go through with it I want them to make it right), but they're going to have to be very careful about the next single-player dlc that comes out, even if it's been planned for a while, because everyone's going to ask when the ending dlc is coming.

Jumping into MP tonight was a nice palette cleanser from the ending.  I still can't bring myself to import one of my other save files yet.  But I guess I've gone from anger and feeling betrayed to feeling disappointed and resigned.  Remember 1 week before the game's release when we were all feeling great?  I miss those days.

 re: Casey's statment:
ok, thank god they posted a statment of somekind. and like that Jermery guy said, i would accepet an intocdration endding, if and ONLY if it was ONE of the enddings .  but i would alos like the opption of a happy ME1 style endding where we defeat the reapers and walk back into Kaidan's/ any other LI's arms. unvrese saved.

another idea for a medum edding, or scarifice endding, the team find sheps body and have a huge cerominy for him/her, then everyone starts to make plans to rebuild. earth/ Palaven Thessia. the galxey, still working together to rebuild in honer of Shep's scarifice [ or if shep was renagade, the fleet stops after the reapers die and goes back to helping their own, galxey still rebuilding, but because Shep was a rengade Jerk  they don't have the same unty as a Paragon Shep]

or hell a forth endding where the reapers win and the galexy is wipped out... not the happest but still an opption

and sadly, if this endding must be canon [ and i hope not] then just some carfication and our questions answered...

It's like it's becoming more cliche to do the sad ending anymore. What's wrong with being happy? No wonder everyone is so depressed. No, you aren't allowed to have any joy ever. It's not realistic! D:

Yeah I just didn't like this comment: "We always intended that the scale of the conflict and the underlying theme of sacrifice would lead to a bittersweet ending—to do otherwise would betray the agonizing decisions Shepard had to make along the way."

How does a happy ending betray the sacrifices along the way?  Wouldn't a happy ending validate that the  sacrifices were made to accomplish something, rather than you're screwed no matter what you do and the friends you've made and lost along the way?

Edit: ToP!
