And that's why I was really crying while playing through the end. Literally, my only thoughts were, "Where's Kaidan?!" Afterwards, I was pretty sure he had died, so I was too busy sobbing to listen to the little brat and accidentally chose Control over Destroy. I always mess up my first runs on Bioware games, it seems...

I read a quote by a dev and the person was saying how can Ashley be on the Normandy when she was just with me and the dev said, "yea that is something to be cautious of." So now I can't end my game because I seriously don't know who to take with me. Just another reason I guess for me to be frustrated.

I love that. What does that even me? Cautious of what? Are you implying everyone is dead no matter what you do? That Shepard if she/he lives is completely alone? How is that a good ending? Who thought any of this made sense?!

I have no idea and I'm kinda getting tired of trying to decode what they are saying. Like I said I'm not playing the ending till I know what is going on. If I never know then hey I can make it up in my own mind.

I use to feel bad when I saw that kid get killed but now that he is haunting me and makes me choose an option where everyone is screwed I can't stand that kid. I remember the first time I saw the kid get blowned to hell I was all crying and now.......I don't care. It's horrible too cause I wanna feel bad that a child is dying.

me too
I remember when I played the demo for the first time
I almost cried
now everytime I start a new game
I'm tempted to blast that cursed kid when he was still in the air vent <_<

I took Kaidan with me and yet he still shows up coming out of the Normandy duing the jungle planet scene. It's been said that your LI is always one of the disembarkees. If anything was able to lift my spirits during that miserable ending, it was the knowledge that at least Kaidan survived.

I agree. It looked like love, not simply passion. Male Shepard really does have a heart.

Of course, I think it was just animated for female Shepard and used again for male Shepard. But whatever. It's still a nice scene.

Really? That he and the rest of your friends left you behind? That they abandoned Earth and were well on their way out of the system while you were being asked to decide the fate of the galaxy? If you could tell him to save himself, you would, but you know that he wouldn't leave. You know it.

Sorry, but there is nothing about this travesty that lifted my spirits. More like it ripped them from my body and burned them to ash.

Keep in mind that it was Jessica who said that, and she is pretty much confirmed as not having a clue.

She has no information about the intent or reality of the "ending", any more than the rest of us do.

I'm slow, partially because I've been dragging my heels to finish my first playthrough. I just said goodbye to everyone and I turned it off. I just can't play any further.

I took Kaidan and James with me for the final run and they both got off the Normandy with Joker. I assumed all three of them were dead and in her dying moments Shep was seeing them all as they wound up in heaven. Given that Harbinger fried the hell out of me and my surroundings it made more sense than Joker somehow picking up the two people who were running for the conduit with me and getting the hell out of dodge. But that's just how I saw it.

I think the kid was real just the god AI thing decided to take its image cause if they took Kaidan's image we would have kicked him in the quads and thrown him out the airlock! I hope that video on YouTube keeps the arguments going! I don't want them to think that we've vented and calmed down. I refuse to play second time b/c they are watching statistics of people replaying. When I want Kaidan I just watch his smexy videos ;) and your love people's fanfics.

Hold the Line!

In that context I totally agree with you. I was just commenting on the deleted scene. If that would have been left in I would have boxed up the game, taken it back to GameStop and started spitting acid and barking at the moon. Considering my emotional state regarding what I had seen in the game so far there would have been no way I could have handled seeing that.

Isn't it funny that people working for Bioware don't know what's happening either? Actually maybe that's just sad <_<

More along the lines of making me want to bang my head against a wall.  I think I'd get further than the current situation.

If it's the scene I'm thinking about, it's one of the best in the game LOL.

They were more then past the Charon relay.  Think about it.  The scene with them racing away from the 'Space Magic' is well after the Charon relay has 'sploded (not to mentioned a couple dozen others).  Joker and crew were half way across the galaxy.

Keep in mind that Jessica runs the Twitter feeds and the Facebook pages. (She's just the community coordinator, working under Chris Priestly.)

The only things about BioWare that she knows are things that they tell her, and she's said that she doesn't have any information about the ending (or she's just epically good at not revealing even a hint of having some inside info).

When that was happening to me last week or earlier this week, I just turned off the TV and went to bed.

Rubbish.

I'll take your word for it. I could only watch it a single time before I realized I was done.

I'm done with it. Finished. I can forgive them for making no sense and coming up with that fetid ending, but I cannot forgive them spitting on these characters who've been with me to hell and back. If anybody deserved better than space magic, they did.

depending on your EMS and readiness the people you take with you on the final run will not be among st the dead when your shepard wakes up from the beam, i learned this from a friend n_n. so i was happy not see Kaidan dead at my feet lol that was the only plus side of the end lol well depending on which sheaprd i play as.... cause my garrus shep was very happy not seeing garrus's dead body XD

I accidentally picked Control over Destroy as well because I just thought the color blue meant "happy Paragon endings."

:(

And to all who think that little kiss with Kaidan made the entire romance worth it ... I completely agree. Real moment of love right there. <3

Yeah I got paranoid and was searching the ground for Kaidan but all I saw were red shirts.  Then of course I see him step out the Normandy later and it was WTF.  I'm really glad that scene was deleted, or maybe that only would have happened if your EMS was too low when your squadmates die anyway?

I picked synergy the first time because I wasn't paying attention (i.e. too dumbfounded by the scene I just witnessed) and didn't know which side was what.  Then I thought no way that could be the best ending so I reloaded and chose destroy, because as Mordin says Shepard's affinity for destruction is well intact.  Then I saw the same ending and turned off SP and haven't played that since.

I avoided all spoilers and after playing through the ending I was so much in shock that I didn't even start to get upset until the next morning.

EDIT: For the Kaidan!
