OMG Has someone seen this: Deleted scene

Its a deleted scene from the final battle. Our squadmates on Earth are dead!

So you either get that or they possibly SPACE-MAGIC themselves to the Normandy

Funny how I brought along Kaidan and Garrus to the last battle (same team I brought against Saren and also because they're my Shep's two closest teammate) and they are the TWO that are with Joker at the jungle planet...

................................................... GAH SPACE MAGIC!

I brought those two as well... Now I feel even worse knowing I might have gotten both of them killed... :( I remember my Shep going through the Citadel and worrying about it but she knows she has a job to do so she just pushes it out of her mind. *hugs sanmar back*

Mmmm those top pics though... I've been planning to roll up a dude Shep for Kaidan, just need to decide pretty much everything except that he's going to be called Adam and that he's a dude...

I gotta commend all of you who went back in for a second playthrough. So far I have tried three times to jump back in but knowing what lies at the end has completely killed all my interest with ME3.

Kaidan said it best: "It's gonna be what it is."   *shrugs*

I didn't think I would be able to at first.  But eventually I wrote out my own ending.  Pretending that's what actually happens, I'm enjoying my insanity playthrough now.  So yay for making up your own ending.  =P

wow Priisus your sig actually gave me butterflies, making me think of those end scenes again :crying:

Probably one of my favorite lines in the trilogy, Garrus is the ultimate bro... and my Shep loves him like a bro... Sorry Vakarian but she's already joined with the human soldier, lol'ed when Javik said that.

But I mean the whole farewell scenes are so well done... Vega's, EDI's, Liara's (gosh I teared up a bit at that and I used to avoid her like a plague in ME1), Garrus'... and Kaidan's... the "when this is over, I'm going to be waiting for you. You'd better show up" and "I can't lose you again" just made me feel so guilty that I didn't have enough EMS... So I went to download the iOS Datapad app immediately after that to try fixing it now... (even though the ending still sucks)

:crying:

I love how the entire Kaidan romance feels more like love than just sexual tension. You got hints of it in ME1, and, if Shep hadn't died, could tell it was going to evolve into something more. I love how those hinted feelings carried up to ME3, where you truly get that it's more than just a little thing on the side.

I swear, the romance is the only thing keeping me playing again. Sorta like a light in the middle of the tunnel...
Well, actually, ME3 isn't much like a tunnel. It's more like a beautiful, grassy, natural forest path, with light filtering down through the fluttering leaves, a slight breeze to carry the fresh air. Then you see a rose bush on the side of the path, stop to smell it and admire how perfect it is - And then suddenly rocks fall and everyone dies.

Ha! Perfect. Just perfect.

The game really needs (apart from the obvious!) a repeatable hug and kiss. Then I could log 14 hours play time, doing just those two things!

It would be amazing to get several romantic scenes with your love interest!

I agree!! That was one of the things I loved about DA:O, I could make out with Alistair in front of Morrigan to ****** her off, And after that first cutscene, I could order him into my tent any time I wanted. Imagine the possibilities! "Major Alenko, captain's quarters. Now! I have something you need to see."

On a different note, did I any of you bring Javik to Thessia, I want to if there's a special interaction with the VI bec otherwise I'll just bring Kaidan again since Liara is a required squadmate.

Javik has an interesting dialogue if you bring him to Thessia on how the Protheans shaped Asari's history etc. And he basically confirms that Athamea (sp?) is a Prothean... although other teammates would have said that too... I brought Kaidan along for the first time, then restart the mission on Casual to speed run it with Javik. Well Kaidan (and I'm guessing other squadmates too) would mentioned that Athamea looks like a Prothean while Javik basically confirms it and have some extra dialogues regarding it but it's not really neccessary to have Javik there.

I brought Garrus, and he mercilessly makes fun of Liara. It was hillarious!

Slightly off topic, I just watched CBS Sunday Morning (yeah, I know, I'm 29 going on 70) and they had a segment on a new exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of Art about video games, and ME2 was heavily featured. What was so awesome is that they only showed FemShep! No BroShep anywhere to be seen. I've never seen that happen before and I'm super pumped.

I just don't finish the game. I like the rest of it for the most part. I also felt the second part of the game was rushed. Did you guys know Kai Leng was supposed to kill one of your squadmates on Thessia originally? I would've hated him so much more if he did that. Instead, he just seems like this obnoxious troll with a sword. Then there's the lack of conversations, the weak romance scenes for everyone besides Kaidan and Liara, and of course the insane endings. Then they randomly cut scenes like the squadmates' death (which doesn't happen unless you don't have enough war assets) and Anderson's extra dialogue.

You know why don't more games release in episodes? Like every three months have a new episode or something? That way they could dedicate more time and big pieces of the game wouldn't feel rushed.

Can someone clarify for me - what is actually different between the relationship if you stayed loyal/didn't? As far as I'm aware, we didn't get any "special reward" for staying loyal, all it meant was that it was a little bit easier to convice him you were not evil. Did I miss something? I mean I did love the romance, I just was wondering if I was going to get an additional scene or something because I stayed loyal. He also seems way too easy to look past the fact you cheated, I was expecting more... hurt (not from experience, only seen videos of him mentioning it once in hospital).
I apologise if any of my comments/questions are ignorant - I have only had one 3/4 playthrough of the game with my "canon" Shep, but I won't finish it because I don't want to make the bad ending choices.

I hated him after Thessia anyway. Mainly because he would have died there and then if he hadn't run away. Also because of that trolling email he sends you later. That got my blood boiling. <_< Wish they'd kept Anderson's extra dialogue in, too, my Shep was actually planning to settle down and start a family in a few years. Although there's a fair few people on this thread who didn't want their Sheps to get married, or were against a proposal in the game at least, so maybe BW realised this and cut the dialogue out for that?

Valve tried that with Half Life 2. We're still waiting on Episode 3 [/grumbles of an upset fangirl]

Maybe he sees past it because he also sorta cheated with that doctor that we sadly didn't get to hunt down? Or maybe they were trying to make Kaidan and Ashley seem really different, considering as Ash practically explodes at you if you cheat on her *or so I've heard*

But you hate him like an internet troll or bully. You don't respect him as a worthwhile enemy or hate him because he's strong and always getting the better of you. It's just such a wasted opportunity.

And I was thinking maybe even smaller episodes of the game then Half Life. Also, they aren't allowed to start another project until they're done. It is completely ridiculous that Half Life hasn't put out the third episode.

I still can't believe they did this. These are all endings, side by side:

What the hell is this ****? What is wrong with their brains?? Arg *double facepalm*

I was under the impression from the email that he didn't cheat with the doctor and that when he sent you that email his friends had literally just talked him into going for drinks with her in order for him to try and move on, then Shepard comes back from the dead and sends him right back to square one again. So he didn't actually cheat at all.

That is a good point, actually, he does seem too trollish. He runs away before the fight's even started. <_<

With the episodic idea, maybe they could be about the same length of LOTSB? Around 4-5 hours? They could also re-name DLC as an episode... IDK.

Ugh, those endings. It's the lack of closure that bugs me - DA:O had a party at the end if you survived, and a funeral if you didn't. They knew this was the last game that was going to have Shepard in it, the least they could do is give Shep a proper send off. :pinched:

Hmm, the email came across to me that he'd only been on a date or two with the doctor, and that if Shepard hadn't turned up again it might have developed into something more. Different people have different interpretations, anyway, and I like to think of my Shep as being a bit paranoid about love so I'm probably just seeing it from her perspective. :)

Now see I too am of the opinion that the date with the Doctor was more of a, 'hey we're going out, you're coming.  oh and btw we have a date for you too' set up by friends.  Maybe it could have gone further if Shepard hadn't been brought back, and I'm OK with that, if Shepard stayed dead, I feel my Shepard at least would have wanted Kaidan to move on with his life, not sit around waiting to die alone.  The fact that he admits he went out and tried to move on, but her coming back to life changed that is enough for me.

I guess either way he wasn't over Shepard and things didn't work out with the doctor lol. Sucks to be her... Ha! How much do you wanna bet it's the same doctor that steals Jacob away from Shepard in ME3! Sounds like she's got a grudge against poor old Shepard!

I took it as he tried for his friends but couldn't find a connection. My friend is doing the same thing. She ended an 8 year relationship and is trying to go on dates for herself and others but there is no emotion. even if she goes on more then 1 date.

LoL omg that would be too funny. What's up with all the available doctors in this game?? I hated Jacob's Doctor (totally forgot her name) so much. I didn't romance him in ME2 but I saw vids of when FemShep confronted her. She's all like "Yes I went after him and even if he loves you he's much happier with me anyway". I was so SUPRISED there wasn't a Renegade interrupt to smack her lol. I felt for everyone who romance Jacob. It pretty much seemed that he wanted a woman who needed him "she came to me for help and how could I refuse her". I guess he needed to feel like a manly man. Shepard was just too much for him. Ugh

And the convo with Jacob on the citadel cracked me up.
"Do you feel it, Shepard?"
:awkward Pause: "Yeah I feel it...blah blah" (paraphrasing lol forgot how it went)
"Believe it"

Like What. The. Hell. I mean I know Jacob is suppose to be this tough guy. But that conversation tree just SUCKED. And the whole thing about the Doctor being pregnant and wanting to name it after Shepard.  If you romanced Jacob it seemed like it was just a point to rub it in your face.  Man, they must be RAGING over at Jacob's thread. It made me nauseated seeing that :blush:

Edit: iPhone has horrible format ugh

Sorry I'm posting like crazy but I just saw a scene on husband's where Vega will save some of his eggs for Ashley to recover from last night. He said she's a lot of fun when she lets her hair down. Hmmmm? Now he found her on the floor with a hang over

My little short used her as the catalyst for Kaidan to realize all the feelings he still had for Shepard while he was in the hospital.  Take that, doctor lady!  :D

I feel the same way though - he met up with her to try and move on, but then Shepard comes back.  I love that he tells it was nothing serious in the email - I think he feels a little guilty about it knowing that Shepard is around even though at the time he thought she was dead and so has no reason to feel guilty at all.  But the fact that Kaidan is a gentleman is what I lo....appreciate about him.  ;)

I still maintain that Jacob was never intended to be anything more than a temp. booty call. If you decide that the horrible voice acting done by Hale every time you try to talk to him is intentional (and where else does Hale do a bad job) and his stand-offishness is on purpose and that the manShep side sees a different Jacob, then you have no other choice but to conclude that your femShep is behaving like a shameless hussy and throwing herself at Jacob who really isn't all that interested, but he'll go there is you throw yourself at him often enough ... I mean. He is a man.

You know why don't more games release in episodes? Like every three months have a new episode or something? That way they could dedicate more time and big pieces of the game wouldn't feel rushed.

Valve tried that with Half Life 2. We're still waiting on Episode 3 [/grumbles of an upset fangirl]

I had a hard time taking him serious....I was one of the poor souls who actually bought Deception (in a land fill somewhere now) and all I could think of was him and the "cereal killer" thing everyone kept making fun of him for.  He just did not impress me as the bad *** he was suppose to be.  In fact I wanted to offer him a bowl of cheerios.

After about the third time I tried talking to Jacob and got that voice, I just quit talking to him unless I had no other choice /shudder

What is the whole cereal killer thing about, I've been really curious about that one!
