She's already given the greatest sacrifice, it shouldn't be necessary again. I could deal with the Normandy being stranded as long as Shep and Kaidan were together, it just sucks.
I hope they'll fix it but I don't expect any announcements until 6th April, but Twitter is amusing me at the minute post after post of, 'the ending was rubbish' with the occasional 'I liked it' every 10 posts or so, how did BW get it so very wrong?

It's mind blowing to think of all the amazing games they've made throughout the years only to fall flat on their arse during the last 5 minutes of what has been an amazing trilogy with Mass Effect. I still don't think it has sunk in properly yet.

In their place, what would you guys have written? The endings would need to be epic, unforgettable, not too cliche, while still wrapping everything up and leaving the player feeling satisfied.
When I try to think of something, I come face to face with a looming brick wall. Of course, the basic choices are:
Shepard lives.
Shepard dies.
Shepard sacrifices her/himself.
But then you have to add on to that, expand each option depending on multiple choices, yet still keep them from being run of the mill lackluster endings that we've all seen before. I can see where they'd have some issues thinking something up.
Then again, I've been thinking about this for maybe a few days and have nothing to my credit except a few As in English over the years. Bioware had ten years and a multitude of professional writers.
I don't knooooooooow.

There's been a pretty decent flow chart running around the forums that takes a lot of the decisions in the game into account. It's not a bad blue print to start from.LadyofRivendell wrote...
I think BW was really lost with what to do for the ending.

I just wanted to fight the Reapers with the fleet I'd gathered. Those space battle scenes were amazing. How about showing all my former squadmates fighting to take down the Reapers? Or maybe a space battle with Harbinger where you fight as the Normandy? Then if you win we see the nations celebrating in the devastation. Many lives lost but people are working together to rebuild. If you want it to be really happy, have Shepard and friends retiring on some beach somewhere like they all seem to want.
But no, let's just go with the whole weird god child MacGuffin thing <_<

hrm id go with
-reapers win, cutscene showing species being decimated
-squaddies die on way to beam/shep greviously injured on citadel/anderson dies/normandy gets blown up/fleet takes massive losses/reapers are destroyed/shep dies on the citadel
-variations of squaddies dying and heavy fleet losses/reapers defeated
-reapers defeated/shep makes it out the citadel/ anderson sacrifices himself to use the crucible
-reapers defeated/shep makes it out the citadel carrying a wounded anderson, squaddies alive/normandy survives/variatons on fleet losses
This list would work its way down from really low EMS being top options to really high being at the bottom. I would also make variables on squaddies dying/fleet losses depending on how youd interacted with crew/species leaders. Id also make the bottom option rather convulouted to achieve, i like feeling rewarded for being a perfectionist completionist!
*edit* and no freaking god child! Also if your shep has a high rene score than no freaking child nightmares either!

That settles it. I'm taking Kaidan on ALL my missions...as soon as he gets out of that %#&* hospital bed.
Looks like I'm going to have to nurse him back to health myself, *shoves medical assistants out of the way*

I was a Vanguard and I didn't get it. I'm an adept this time. But I took Liara so I think she stole a lot of the dialogue.

A couple of things I would like to have seen;
-Reapers win, everyone gets anhilated but Liara's time capsule gets found by next cycle for Reapers to get defeated next time round
-Kaidan/other LI/squaddie pulling Shep's ass out of the fire for a change
-Some measure of success based on the strength of the fleet you'd massed
-maybe the crucible could do some sort of re-write of Reaper code but for some trade off a bit like the dark ritual thing but even then it takes time to get to all Reapers meaning fleet strength still important
-something along the same sort of lines with Reaper code but during the delay Shep has to decide which Reapers go 1st leading to different consequences for different races or factoring in of earlier choices, if you got the Geth and the Quarians to make peace they can fight their reapers off etc
-I don't mind the choice of trying to dominate the Reapers but it should ultimately fail
-Same with synthesis, don't mind it being one of the options but there should be so many more
Those re just some of the things i'd like, can't really go into more detail as on my phone and really should go to sleep
Edit: also what noxpanda said

"Yeah, you've got lights in your...uh...and your small and jumpy. It just came out."
Anyone else bring Dr. Michel along? What's different if you do, besides dialogue.
