hopefully it means something
Unfortunately, it's just more PR bull**** until they take action. A maybe is not an answer, it's a stalling tactic. Prices of the game are falling, more people are finishing the game, and more games are being returned. They may claim it's normal, but sooner or later they will have to take notice or risk the destruction of a franchise. When you have over 40,000 people in a movement it's a big deal cause that's not taking into account the large numbers of people who simply gave up on day 1 and will no longer be buying anything from Bioware. Those 40,000 are simply the organized part.
These endings are not just about closure or happiness. This about the complete assassination of the characters and the franchise in the final 10 minutes. They broke every storytelling law in the book. Big time reviewers seem to not understand that or just refuse to cause they'll lose their precious advertising money.
At this point, we can still save the franchise. We can launch another campaign to pull ME3 back up in sales if they simply give us what we are asking for, an ending that does the trilogy justice.
