Been playing some MP, only got kicked out of one game so far due to me being level 1. MEANIES.

Lvl 7 now, readiness at 58%. I might disconnect to the internet and see if that stops it from degrading.

I might be up for playing later if anyone wants to on xbox :)

i agree with you there. it seemed that to make the game harder, they just made every single enemy throw a grenade at you. it wasnt hard, just stupid. it was definetly to much like a shooter and not enought RPG.
my dream game would have the rpg and open worldness of The Elder Scrolls but have the choices and romance of Mass Effect. that would be pretty sweet.

They changed more and the game just felt a ton easier than ME2..  In ME2, Insanity added shields or armor to everything.  In 3 it seemed like all it did was make the mobs do more damage.  The only mobs it actually took awhile to kill were the banshees.  I just finished my insanity playthrough and the hardest part was getting the awesome button to let me run away from a grenade, instead of rolling around on top of it, going back into cover, or picking up a medkit I was trying to run past...

im gonna do it on insanity with my garrus-kaidan love triangle save. my cannon femshep has eyes only for Kaidan. insanity on me2 was hard at times. did it with an adept as they are the best. scion is a f**king pain especially when there were more than 1 at a time

I didn't find the game too easy, personally, but then again I suck at gaming yet I managed to beat ME3 on Normal on my first try. Not that I really care about gameplay, anyways. I mean, who here buys Bioware games for gameplay anyways? I sure don't.

Yeah I'd rather just run around being invincible on story mode :P

BTW, saw some stats Geoff got from Bioware for "Final Hours" app. Among them, was the long-speculated and debated VS statistic. 76% of players had Ash survive from ME1. Also, over 70% of ME2 players who finished the game romanced someone. Also over 70% cheated on ME1 LI.

Wow, I guess most people really didn't like Kaidan, lol. I didn't expect it to be that high.

A quick note for the XBOX360 Kaidan s/s fans, I have modded my 360 ME1 game so that Kaidan is available to male Shepard and wanted to know if others are interested in how to do this. The same is possible for female Shepard romancing Ashley. If people are interested I will make a thread with instructions. It is *extremely* easy to do.

Meh, figured as much.

Most people seem to hate Kaidan. My thoughts on that are that they just didn't really try to get to know him, rather dismissing him as "boring male soldier Carth clone whiny guy with weird hair". That, and, at least from what I've heard around here, you get to know Kaidan far less as MaleShep than you do FemShep, all romances aside.

As for cheating, does that include people who just bought the comic and clicked to romance someone? To me, that's an unfair statistic, as, when I first got ME2 (for PS3, so no ME1 playthrough), I just clicked random options and ended up romancing Liara, killing Kaidan, killing the Rachni Queen, etc. Had I actually kept playing that save, I might've romanced someone in ME2, therefore it would count as "cheating" even though I had no clue who the heck Liara was in the first place.
Man, that comic really watered down the first game.

This is a great way to get those melee achievements.

Drop the difficulty down to Narrative, and you can basically just run around and punch everything.

It was good catharsis for some of the bleaker missions. I'll just TURN DOWN THE DIFFICULTY AND SMACK YOU ALL.

Yeah, even my dude Shep kept Kaidan instead of Ashley.  To save Ashley I had to create a space racist of my own...Amanda is not a nice Shepard.  She ended up totally turning Kaidan off!  And romancing Jacob because thre was no one left for her to romance. So yeah, ME3 is going to be fuuuuuun.

Thank gooness my canon is madly in love with Kaidan.

That really bugged me about ME1.  Why they had to make it like that I will never know.  I'm guessing it is the same for FemShep and Ashley?  Thank god they didn't gimp Alistair for male players.

No, I think it's mostly because it's a "hot girl versus a guy" choice, quite simply. Don't forget that 82% of Sheps are male

You can put Kaidan off Shepard in ME1? I didn't know that! I guess it makes sense though since you can do that in pretty much all Bioware games lol.

I killed Ashley due to chain of command dictating I save Kaidan /thatswhatIkeeptellingmyselfanyways/

Ashley was my third favorite ME character, behind Shepard and Kaidan. I hate Virmire with a passion, and I hate even more that I'll never see her again in ME2 or ME3 because I just can't kill Kaidan

I think a lot of players were romancing Ashley so they decided to kill Kaidan. I always kept Kaidan because he was just awesome, I never warmed to Ashley, hated Aliens, and on my first ever playthrough of ME1 back in the day... I didn't have enough points of Charm to get Wrex on side, they she killed him. <_ But we Kaidan fans are the most vocal out of any other, maybe we scare Bioware

Exactly. This is why I always choose Kaidan. Logical reason. Higher ranking officer and biotic VS mere soldier.

So what if he is hotter....

And this is the reason why I have no idea how Ashley is these days...

I never really found myself being able to click with Ashley. I even made a male Shep specially to romance her to see if I could get to know her better but still I don't like her and I'm not even sure why. I didn't like Jack at first either until I romanced her and found out she actually has alot of depth and some funny one liners.

Although that was the only time I've chosen Ashley over Kaidan, and for some reason the sad music that plays after Virmire lasted until I left the Normandy, whereas when I left Ash on Virmire the last time, the music ended straight after the mission debriefing. Felt like the game was saying "how could you leave Kaidan there?" :(

It's also odd when it seems that Kaidan has more content and was handled better than Ashley, when only 24% of players have him in their games.

I found that really surprising, but love that Bioware listened to us in the end. Or maybe Ashley and Kaidan have different writers?

I thought Tali's fans were the scariest and Liara's the most vocal? Maybe I've been underestimating my fellow Kaidanites!
