No, the game did it itself. Hacking transferred but it was just luck it works that way, BioWare didn't deliberately work on it.

Interesting question, it's rather huge thing. I think it will defnitely be brought up shortly after they meet again. Wonder if Kaidan will know about Shep's explanation from the court beforehand? Maybe Kaidan will even listen to the trial live someway?

I always thought that Kaidan who is a SpecTRe and major/captain (I think) would have good contact to anderson (regardless of councilman or admiral) and probably even read the report from hackett (though I have no idea if anyone gets to read reports from the admiral himself... because he's the highest in chain of command o.o ) and since both of them are on shepards side, I think he'd know she tried everything she could/did the right thing... if there even WAS a "right" in that^^

anyway I don't see him snapping over it, though I could deal with that. I like to think that Shepard is still either broken up (paragon) or pissed (renegade) about it, and it would be a nice show of trust and support if Kaidan would understand this and not get too furious. It's how I see them regaining trust in each other and even initiating the romance. espacially for a paragon shep this would be a beautiful moment of vulnerabilty. 

I at least see my Shep freaking out over arrival. As a colonist, she's come to terms with the batarians being just people, always fighting for the good. and then being forced to kill 300 000+ civillians. couple that with the Sole Survivor background, and.... well... it's a real wonder she hasn't had an emotional break-down yet

is there a way others can see how often something has been re-tweeted or something?
like we'd say, only x amount of people should tweet it to Casey to avoid spamming him and once that number is filled in a day let's stop?
I only have a twitter account to stalk some BioWare people ... and an occasional tweet of ME:C updates

It kinda took me by suprise too. With the reapers invading and all, I would think it would be kinda hard to be a parent and the galaxy's last hope. Of all the characters in the game though, I think Kaidan would make the best father figure to a child.

I always figured that Shepard herself put Kaidan's picture in her quarters...especially because we know that the first time you as a player have your Shepard go into her quarters doesn't necessarily have to be the first she as a person goes there. Joker takes Shepard to see the SR-2; Shepard "gives her a name". I think it's not unreasonable to think that at this point, Shepard gets a little tour of the SR2 (before the conceit of the tutorial intro).

My Shepard, in any event, would have spaceimagegoogled a holo of Kaidan so fast.

There are quite some fanfics that explore how the holo got in Shepard's cabin, but I like the idea best that Shepard herself put it there.

And, yeah, my Shepard at least would keep her private life to herself, so I can't imagine anyone barging into her quarters to put the picture of Kaidan there (which incidentally could be construed as kind of a harsh move - considering that person would know Shepard's had no contact/has no way of contacting at that point in time).

Besides, I can't see how anyone would even really know enough about the Kaidan/Shepard relationship to be bold enough to put the picture there. Joker, I think, would be the most likely to know, because he obviously is aware of the tension, but I guess especially after replaying ME1 recently and hearing his "yeah, whatever"s after you "should go" him, I can't really picture him caring enough to put the picture there - unless he really was incredibly guilt-ridden about getting you killed. Which...considering he won't even reminisce about the good old days in ME2...I don't know.

As far as Dr Chakwas is concerned, she's my Shepard's non-Hannah mom, and considering the number of times I made Shepard pick the "Kaidan Alenko" dialogue option in ME1, well...I could see how she might suspect something...

I don't know, I guess I just prefer the idea of Shepard being someone who keeps her private life really private, and who was always extremely professional until a certain Lieutenant came along who broke through her walls...Your mileage may vary! 

...I really wish we'd gotten to talk to Tali and Garrus about our former squadmates. And Wrex! It's really too bad you can only ask TIM (just that one time), Joker (who doesn't want to go into it), Anderson (who can't tell you much because it's classified) about your old friends...I'd have loved a few more stories along the lines of Chakwas's Kaidan and Jenkins story during Ice Brandy fun times!

Also, FYI, IsaacShep, I passed along word of your project to the person who runs Kaidan's twitter account. Will let you know if I hear anything.

It's not like Shepard thinks Cerberus hasn't already screened her/him completly and knows everything right?
