The Benning quest opens up after the Platoon quest and the Rachni quest with Grunt, as I wanted Kaidan with me on both and with the strict time-limits on the bomb quests I lost it after the Citadel coup quest.

No, the Rachni quest can be delayed forever and it doesn't open Benning

Dammit now I'm back to being stuck!
 Have some dreamy stare Kaidan

Thanks for the reply Commodore.  I guess I'll just suffer through the freezing then.  I can't imagine it makes that big a diff if you install it on the Xbox.

Been meaning to tell you that I love your BSN name, btw.  It was my great grandfathers name....I kid you not

i have the game installed to my xbox and it runs smoother, load times are quicker and ive only had one freeze since as opposed to quite a few whilst playing from disc... remember to install both discs too.. after first one is done, you dont get the prompt to load up second one, but just go into game menu and install it..

well worth doing

Huh....I wondered why I didn't get asked to install the second disc Posted Image ...what does the second disc do anyway? Is it all that important? I'm a bit confused now Posted Image

EDIT: And to keep this on topic....

Congratulations on your marriage!  Hope you have a long and happy one!

I also miss his chest hair too.  Although, with Evil Chris stating that "there'll be a lot of shirtless Kaidan" before the launch, I'm not disappointed 0.0!

Oh, and just so you all know, my origin ID is:  mitzi7494  just in case anyone wants to play some MP...I'm actually getting pretty good now, lol!

Well, I took a day or two off, and then the answer to my current inability to play on with my new ME3 runthrough popped into my head.

I have gone back to ME1!

:D

Wiki was right! I just finished the Rachni, and Sam told me about Benning. So it's either the platoon or Rachni that open it up.

Hello,

I haven't been out here for awhile.  *looks around*  But it's sure nice to see the thread still going and the pictures of Kaidan.

Like a lot of folks I haven't been exactly overjoyed by the endings.  I have my own headcanon of course.  In any event,  as I watched the endings I kept thinking "where's my redo?"  The idea, inspired by too much tv probably as well as some brainstorming with Shenzi and Alice 829 inspired this and I wanted to share it with you.

That's what it said when I looked, either of those will open Benning. And all of this work to "open Benning" seems really strange when you LIVE on (fort) Benning!!! Hmm, wonder if there's a Major Alenko around here somewhere....

Ok this is by far the most promising news I have seen yet. Casey Hudson is now saying this:

Hudson, however, noting feedback from players that the ending was too bleak,
said BioWare was working on new content that will be made available to
download online to extend play beyond the current finish of the game.
"We'll keep listening, because your insights and constructive
feedback will help determine what that content should be," he said.
"This is not the last you'll hear of Commander Shepard.
"We also recognise that some of our most passionate fans needed more
closure, more answers, and more time to say goodbye to their stories,"
Hudson added.

Yeah. It's only that most passionate majority that needs closure. Everyone else thinks it's swell.

I would be waaaaaaaaaay more hopeful if there wasn't an included diss. "Oh, well, you know, it's the most passionate fans that just can't give it up. What can you do? Fans, huh? You just can't please everyone and it's always those ten basement dwellers."

Also, to make me feel less cranky:

Actually, now I just feel confused. That scene is so good. The good bye is so good. The ending is so bad

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL?!

I really, really hope this is true. They will be surrounded by the public @ PAX April 6th. Probably an angry mob of people if they don't change the endings. Here is to hoping:wizard:

It doesn't really say post-campaign. Think about it people, the endings leave the galaxy in such different states (ironically to what people refer to as just "different colors") that it would require HUGE amount of additional work take all ending variables into account. The fact that in one ending organics are now partially synthetics changes the very foundations of life in the galaxy.

Well you know Casey has to dumb it down and not say well 99% of all players hated the ending to our game. He has to make it sound like BW is being soooo nice to the most passionate fans....what he means really is angry fans.:P

I will not give up hope! You can work play beyond the endings if your creative. This is the most hope I've had since finishing this game. I've been depressed for the last 2 weeks and I have to believe in something. No matter what I will remain hopeful:innocent:

I wouldn't call that dumbing it down. Poisoning the well, sure, but dumbing down? Nah.

I know it'll never happen but I'd have so much more respect if Casey just came out and said,

'Yeah so we royally ****ed up, most of our fans hated the ending but don't worry we'll do something about it now.'

All this PR crap makes my head hurt, but I guess it's like anything else tell yourself something's great for long enough you'll even convince yourself it's true.
