I do think they'll do SOMETHING, though. It's not like they're completely ignoring us and acting as if they don't care.

On a side note, I just found Conrad - Can't believe I missed him in my first playthrough!

I was startled by Conrad first pt - he saved me from a bullet and died! I almost cried... poor Conrad, he did well in the end.

Conrad died in your playthrough? That's awful! He took a "bullet" for me as well, except that the shooter's gun misfired because some other girl tampered with it prior (I think it was the girl whose sister asks you to convince her to leave her job in ME1). I got that in my last play, too, but I just found where you can talk to him prior to being shot at.

Same here. It turned an epically sad moment into an epically hilarious moment, especially with Conrad walking off while going "You know I know Commander Shepard really well..."

The whole Conrad quest was a giant love letter to ME1 sidequests. It combines buying an Elkoss Combine license, doing a little side quest for a scientist on Feros, collecting all of the asari matriarch's writings, and getting that girl working in Chora's Den as an undercover agent out of there all in one quest. It made me freaking happy to know that all those little things piled up and made a difference and amazed Conrad at how I conveniently had everything he needed to make his research work at it's fullest potential.^_^

*le sigh* That's how the endings should've felt.:crying:

Aw I love Conrad, I was like "nooooooo" when I thought he'd been shot, but then he got up again and I was like YAY! I have a huge soft spot for him, I think it's because his voice acting reminds me of Alistair from DA:O.

Best ending: "Shepard! The instructions on using the Crucible are written in ancient Asari with Turian emblems on them! Without those pages you collected three years ago, we're all doomed!"
...Dangit. I knew the only two quests in the entire series I didn't finish would come back and bite me sooner or later.

rofl That would've been hilarious.  I made sure to complete every sidquest in all of my playthroughs (except for Bring Down the Sky once because it was the night ME2 came out and I couldn't wait any longer) because I'm a completionist that way. The whole Conrad thing made it worth it.=]

It was Jenna from the first game. I always remember to do her quest cause she has my name :D

I got the same thing with him walking off with Jenna. Sometimes it pays to be a completionest. :P

I believe I chose not to do those two because I was sick of landing on every planet, trying to steer the Mako, and searching for something that usually didn't even have any plot importance. Never donned on me to use a guide... I'm surprised Ash and Kaidan could still tolerate Shep after all the crazy driving I dragged them along for
What are the odds that the only quests I don't do actually have revelance in the third game? That's my luck, right there.

Just got Kaidan's chat about his parents on the 360 version, so I can confirm that that one, at least, isn't bugged.

Kicking self, it was the second pt I did with my canon, I was tired near the end and figured I'd done everything else - I didn't want to do that Jenna quest because it seemed out of character, blowing someone's cover in public. All my other sheps did that one, I guess I'll have to replay 1 and 2 and then 3 to get it right with her now! oops :)

You didn't have to blow anyone's cover. If you took the neutral option you just completed the pass off and Jenna wasn't needed for intel anymore. I always thought it was kind of bull-headed to go paragon or renegade on that one and start a shoot out. Unless your talking about the initial bit when you first encounter Jenna.

Yea that was so..stuuuupid.... Herp Derp, I heard you were undercover. Allow me to blow your cover, at the place your trying to undercover at.... That was so...embarrassing..

Edit: some of the stuff shepard says makes me think s/he isnt always...with it.  :?

I guess I was kinda vague.  Originally in the first 2 games dark energy was what the reapers were about.  And the endings at that point in time for teh 3rd game were supposed to be "make a human reaper and end the threat of dark energy forever because human diversity was the key" or some crap OR "destroy the reapers and take your chances"  At some point between 2 and 3 it changed.

Even in 3, the Prothean VI mentions dark energy: "The Catalyst enhances dark energy transmissions and coordinates the entire mass relay network.  In your cycle, it is known as the Citadel."

I really wonder when they changed it being about dark energy...

Yay for Conrad! always liked him from the start, in a cute puppy/feel sorry for kinda way. Shepard's reaction was a mirror of my own on hearing he did his doctorate on dark energy etc. Really? you? ok... Bit creepy with his made up wife/shrine to Shep though, although understandable, Shepard is awesome afterall! Anyone know if male Shepards get the same line there?

I love that, personally, as it shows Shepard is still human. All of us, from the most blunt to the most persuasive, feel like sticking our foot in our mouth at one point or another.

You know, I feel a little pathetic. I'm out in the kitchen, kneading dough, yet brought my 360 controller and turned the TV so I could keep playing ME3 while baking  Even though playing makes me remember the depressing endings, I feel even worse when I'm NOT playing... What kind of weird withdrawl is this?
Better yet, why did I agree to make 32 loaves of Lembas bread in one evening? :?

Saw an episode of CSI earlier on today which had the Sbargster in it. That was strange, seeing him and hearing him be someone that wasn't kaidan. He was only in one scene though :(

He's in Season 5, Episode 16 ("Ch-Ch-Changes"), correct? I still haven't rewatched that yet after finding out that was him.

 I offered to do it for the last day of LotR class tomorrow, but I forgot when offering that I wouldn't have my oven fixed until this afternoon. Genius, I am.

As for the Dark Matter debate, I think I recall someone around the forums saying they scrapped the idea early on in ME2's development because it was too overused and unoriginal.

The kinect comes in handy for times like those. I thought it was gimmicky at first, but I don't know how I'd get my insanity playthrough done without it. Plus it means my hands are free to stuff glorious food into my face during conversation without cleaning them a million times so I can touch the controller.

Edit: I was just wondering, I know Vega's all flirty with FemShep the whole time, so how does he interact with Sheploo?

Lol. I remember that first conversation with Joker way back then. I was all "Wtf? Did I miss a conversation with him about this or something?"

'Course I chose the paragon option so it was less foot-in-mouthy for me.

Edit: Lol at the LotSB quote. I loved the banter in that mission.

Don't know what it was called, but he was going to marry a bloke who'd had a sex change and hadn't told him.

As for the dark energy, i felt sure that Haestrom and its prematurely dying sun would have some calling in ME3 but...zilch.

 Shep may have derpy lines occasionally, but it's a lot better than Hawke in DA2 if you weren't careful. I ended up having half of Kirkwall hating me (the half Anders didn't blow up, anyways) because I would choose the humorous option and end up insulting someone. Someone in the paraphrasing department didn't get the memo for DA2...

Guys, I have a question. I just finished the romance scene. Swoon! It was so perfect!!

Anyway, in the leaked script there was a line where Shepard and Kaidan are talking (at the time, I assumed this was the romance scene), and Shepard says, "I should...I should go." And Kaidan replies by saying, "Don't. Stay." Or something like that.

Do these lines come out at all? I haven't finished the game so maybe there's more dialogue between them. Also, I haven't gotten all his conversation options during his random dialogue, but is there something I missed? I distinctly remember reading that in the leaked script.

I haven't heard this, personally. Do you recall where it took place in the script?
Sounds similar to the romance initiation in ME1, though.

@ Lady: Damn it, the link I had to the leaked script isn't working anymore. I was trying to find what else was said around these lines.

@ yoshibb: That's what I thought, too! I remember him saying that ("Hey, where are you going?"), and she says she needs to go, and he tells her to stay. The reason I remember reading this is because it says "smoldering look" on the script right before he says "Stay". I guess they left it out. Posted Image

EDIT: ToP - Crap! Picture I wanted to post originally didn't work.
