As far as Dr Chakwas is concerned, she's my Shepard's non-Hannah mom, and considering the number of times I made Shepard pick the "Kaidan Alenko" dialogue option in ME1, well...I could see how she might suspect something... ;)

I love Dr. Chakwas and her voice!! She's my Shep's second mom or aunt as well.

I don't know, I guess I just prefer the idea of Shepard being someone who keeps her private life really private, and who was always extremely professional until a certain Lieutenant came along who broke through her walls...Your mileage may vary!

...I really wish we'd gotten to talk to Tali and Garrus about our former squadmates. And Wrex! It's really too bad you can only ask TIM (just that one time), Joker (who doesn't want to go into it), Anderson (who can't tell you much because it's classified) about your old friends...I'd have loved a few more stories along the lines of Chakwas's Kaidan and Jenkins story during Ice Brandy fun times!

Yes yes yes, I totally agree. I feel the exact same about my Shepard.
And I also wish we could have asked those types of things. Although too much asking about Kaidan would have arroused many many more suspicions. And it may have made Shepard come off as a little too needy? Eh, I don't know.
But I really enjoyed drinking with Chakwas. It was nice to see a different side of Shepard.

My Shep thinks she's Hellen Mirren so he's stanning HARD for Chakwas  He's also Earthborn and doesn't have a mom so if there's a wedding in ME3, Chakwas will fill in xD

hope there's more interaction with her in ME3 overall, the drinks scene was very cool!

I don't trust Shepard anymore.  <_<

I don't know. I think she just neded to add a little bit of "home" to her quarters in this new ship since everything had changed overnight for her and she was on this unfamiliar ship that didn't feel like home yet. You know?

Unless s/he saw Joker and figured, "What the hell, I'll take the chance.  :)"

Not that they couldn't have known already, but wouldn't Shepard rather have Kaidan be safe than Collector bait on a backwater planet?  :P

Nothing is silly thinking. It's all just fun speculation anyway. And Miranda did say that. Somebody learned abt Kaidan. I just wonder, how? (or maybe it's just a video game, and they thought it'd be cute...lol)

Maybe through Joker and Dr. Chakwas?  Joker did interrupt them, and there is an option for Shepard to ask if Joker was spying on them.  Chakwas would probably need to know certain activities, especially if she held a dispensary for birth control/safer options.

On the Normandy, there were scuttlebutt and lower deck rumors, and that was before anything became official or was acted upon.  Wouldn't be too difficult to piece together.  Could also have been a gambit played by TIM - a former crewmember, but didn't have the exact connection pinned down or confirmed.  He does seem like the type to lead someone and let them give themselves away.

This makes a lot of sense.  It's defnitely better than my thought that Miranda knew from evidence found on Shepard's body... :pinched:  My Shep would probably not go to Chakwas for birth control, etc, to try to maintain some privacy, but I'm sure she knew stuff was up anyway.

I love Chakwas!  The scene with the brandy is so great.  I hope we get more opportunities like that in ME3.  Actually, my Shepard has this silly hope that Chakwas is there to keep an eye on her for the Alliance, since she's disappointed that her crew members would willingly joined Cerberus.

mineralica wrote...

About "who put the photo there?" - I totally can see Miranda setting that photo and then setting all nearby cameras to record when Shepard approaches photo/activating it. Then recorded video is analyzed to make a conclusion about how efficiently Shepard, nearly quoting TIM, "forgot about past relationship". Forever yours, mineralica, the author of insane conspiracy theories

I have the same thought whenever Shep triggers the photo!  I can just picture her trying to keep her expression neutral...but she wouldn't ever change the image.

Criz, wonderful work as usual! <3  Good luck!  I've noticed when I click on individual tweets, it opens them on the right side and at the bottom it says how many replies and retweets it has.  So it should be pretty easy to tell.

Another Sebastian fan, here!   I love the sig, crimsonrhodelia.  LOL!  I love Anomen too, btw.

Hard for me to say.  If I play ME2 straight, my Shepard kills herself rather than work for Cerberus.

But this is a depressing line of thought.  Let us think of happier times.  :wizard:

They had his body and recounstructed it? Surely they had to reconstruct the head part too. I assume at this point technology allows to scan/read the information form the brain

Yeah! When Miranda offered to let me " stay and rot with the mechs", that was her third strike, and I wanted out. Sadly there was no "Bye, You have a nice trip, now!" option.

The only brainscanner I can think of is Liara, and I can only see her squealing under stupidity or spite.  I like to think she's a little more intelligent and compassionate than that.  And if Miranda had to reconstruct Shepard's brainmeat neuron by neuron, then that calls into question once again Shepard being the Real Shepard.

Besides, if they had brainscanning technology, why would they ever resort to harsh interrogations like they do throughout the series?  Just scan the bastard and go home early.

As far as I can tell, Shepard doesn't have a penis.  He must have lost it on a dangerous mission and had it replaced by an unsightly lump of flesh.

I figured that was just Miranda being annoyed with Shep being all "Yeah okay why do I have to go with YOU." (In my fics, she tends to get annoyed with my Shep a lot. Even to the point she pissed off my Shep off on purpose just to get Shep out of her depression.)  Shepard gave Miranda a lot of grief for reading Kaidan's message. x_x (I figured Miranda has actually been reading all of Shepard's message ever since that message from Oriana mentioning something to that extent!)

I honestly doubt that Cerberus didn't know already. And if they didn't know from the beginning of the game, they certainly knew after Horizon. If tIM and Kelly's inquiries are anything to go by, at least.

Maybe so, but why give them tangible evidence to support their guessing?  Or why assume that they know, given that they hadn't tipped their hand just yet and thus far had only quoted common knowledge stuff like Akuze?  Unless they sat Shepard down off camera and discussed every little detail of her life to make sure she was all there, it just seems rather thoughtless on her part, like painting an unnecessary target on Kaidan's ass.

(For the record, I was annoyed that Kaidan didn't think twice on sending the letter, either.  I mean, it's a nice letter, but he's smart; he should know better.)

I dunno.  It's probably supposed to have been Shepard, anyway.  Or one of those "Gameplay, not Plot" things to tell you when you've "cheated".  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wondering.png[/smilie]

Probably the latter. The order plot gameplay dictates.

I imagine a what if scenario where Kaidan and Shepard would swap places in their roles: Kaidan being the main protagonist Spectre and Shepard his lieutenant.

Would things be different then? Would Kaidan be treated better than this?

I don't know...

hey guys, I have a non-Kaidan problem, I'm pissed off because I discovered that ea deleted (or cancelled that sounds even worse) my account, I managed to login to the account with my current hotmail email, but all my games and my code registrations are deleted...:(
and then I tried to put the codes again and I got the message that my account was cancelled, I'm pissed because I don't know why they did that...all my games are original (I have 3, ME1, ME2 and DAO)...

What should I do, because the ME1 game don't recognize my installation code??....

Me is pissed...:bandit:

yeah, but my problem is with my ea account....*edited for the sake of this account* cancelled it....and now I can't get the code to play bring down the sky...and my ME1 installation code is invalid....(since when a original game comes with an invalid code??? just wondering that, after so many years, for the first time in my life I can't play it because of the code...)

 I'm very pissed....

Because of this, they have lost a good customer, because after ME3 I will not buy any game of EA again....never never again.:bandit:

I need a kaidan, but thanks to EA I'll never play ME1 again....thank you very much for that....<_<

For starters, we'd probably be playing with Kaidan...I mean, playing as Kaidan.  He would be default image, we'd stare at his buns the whole time...but we'd have difficulty seeing his face whenver we wanted.  It would be interesting though, what would Shepard be like as an NPC?

As for treated better, he would be if only because he's PC.

OTOH, we'd have fights over mAlenko or FemAlenko, if Shepard should be considered for s/s romance, who would be better left on Virmire, etc.

Unless you mean we're still playing as Shepard, the underling to Kaidan.  In that case, he probably would be hated more since people have problems with authority figures in games.  Anderson and Hackett are exception, since tthey're meted out in small doses and never really has complete authority over Shepard.  If the PC Shepard has to take orders from Kaidan, or follow his lead, there'd be cries for mutiny.  It wouldn't be limited to Kaidan either; whoever is an authority figure in the game would probably receive scorn.  The leader would have to be very hands-off, like Anderson & Hackett, to be acceptable.

But it's just my opinion, don't go spreading it around.  :)

Is there a contact/troubleshooting area on the main page?  Maybe try there first.  By chance, did you download from Steam?  Think there's a kerfluffle with Steam & EA right now.

ahahahaha Kaidan's permanent facepalm at burning mako

Geira-- I discovered that my cd key for Bring Down The Sky DLC went missing and went "WHAT" and spent fruitless hours with EA support help chat (and even got hung up on the phone) and they're telling me that they can't get me a new code. >.< I told them this issue needs to be addressed immediately. Ugh. :|

On a good note about this-- I did beat ME and was able to import my saves to ME2 before this happened -- but I'd have to re-make my Shep because I won't be able to open my saves with this DLC issue :(

...and I wanted to spend some time with Kaidan in ME. *pouts*
