Wait what???  I did not name my cannonShep Dani, only to have her namesake die from eating the most magnificent beast on earth.  I get times are hard but, I did not expect GRR Martin to get spoiled for me here.  On the other hand, I don't really care.  It's not like it will disappoint me more than Mass Effect, because I went into Song of Fire and Ice fully expecting to get put through the ringer.  Did you hear that, Casey?  There's an HBO show out there with an edge over you!  Perhaps killing Liara in the next DLC will net you the award you're looking for!

And LadyofRivendell:  Not actually upset, more raging for kicks, but, hey, how's that paper of yours going?

 Sorry, I didn't think that was a spoiler. Dany is given a raw horse heart to eat around page 250 of the very first book, and in my dream I remember saying that should have killed her, and Thane argued that it caused her to go insane in A Feast For Crows (if she does go insane, I wouldn't know, I've only read the first book. Apparently Thane's read them all and is a big fan). No spoilers in my post, at least nothing you wouldn't already know! And no, she doesn't go insane either, Thane just seemed to think so. Unless my subconscious knows something I don't.
To clarify: If Dany is dead, I have no clue, because she didn't die in the first book and that's as far as I've read and watched. 

BSN is actually where someone spoiled the first book for me, I think it was a poll about Khal Drogo or something random like that but it completely blurted out the ending. Then again, the book was released in 1996, that would be like me saying, "Pssst, Mufasa dies!" and having someone else distraught that I ruined The Lion King for them.

And on a sidenote, it horrifies me that they eat horses. I know other countries do that and all, but I don't want to go down to my barn only to look at my mare and wonder if she's chewier than my other mare 

Oh, that essay? I've written... Well, I've written the introduction. But I did turn my friend's horse pink on Photoshop in the meantime!

This is how I work.
I SAY I'll work.
I think about working.
I consider thinking about working.
I write something.
I consider it time to take a break.
I go on the internet.
I look at the clock at 2 am and realize I need to finish.
I continue browsing the internet.

And that, right there, is my work ethic when it comes to stuff I don't want to do. But hey, I managed to turn the game off. That's a start!

Yes, my thoughts exactly.  As it stands now with 0 DLC or whatever you can maybe just get enought for the "good" ending????  I'm trying a second playthrough to see how close I get w/out MP...I was close the 1st time but I also missed some things on the Citadel in the beginning because I was a little lost with the journal - kept looking for it to update or something...

I guess, its really a mute point anyway as not many of us feel like multiple playthroughs.  It just makes me wonder if they really thought this was the best way to end the game how people could continue to play this in years to come w/out the online MP support.

I missed a lot of side quests on the Citadel because I didn't know that, once Cerberus hits all those previous side quests freakin' disappear. I kept thinking that I would save them for later and ending up losing them.  Also, is anyone else a little pissed off at how the side missions are presented now? I hate that they don't update! Half the time I have no idea what I'm doing or which side quest belongs to what.

In regards to the "good" ending, I'm a little lost. I've been away from the forums and am only just finishing the game (saved right before heading to Earth) so I had no idea I had to have a certain number in order to see her take that breath. Right now I have a little over 6000 military strength with a 92% galactic readiness. Is this enough for the "good" ending? I'll be starting a NG+ right after I finish so I'm not too concerned, but since this is the first time I finish the game, I'd really like to see her take that breath.

@ leborum: Sorry about mp! I turned on my xbox and left the room and didn't notice that you had sent me a request to join a party.  I'll join you next time, I swear!

Speaking of the sidequests not updating in the journal. That bugged me too because I was kind of argh WHO DO I TURN THEM INTO AGAIN.
Had to literally use the map for this. (The map ... didn't always show me who I needed to bug D:)

Yeah, the journal really sucks... But I still did every single Citadel quest and only got 7,000 war assets total combined with the rest of the game. I think, in order to have more, I'd have to micromanage the previous two games (kill Wrex, keep the base, destroy Maelon's data, etc) which I just don't want to do for the sake of an ending that's awful anyways.
So, I'll trudge through MP anytime I want to play the end, I guess.

That's how I used to work to. Except back in my day, there was no BSN (at least for me.  I graduated from college in 2004).

Also, you have a horse named Arwen? That's kinda cool.

On topic: I'm listening to the soundtrack right now.  Is it a bug that when I visit Kaidan in the hospital my "I was lost without you" is out of sink?  I thought it was because our relationship was off kilter since Horizon, but I might have read too much into it.  I think there's a realy synching prob with my game....

Thanks for the info!  And don't worry about ruining anything. I'm totally into spoilers...read the leaked script and everything. My only peeve is the visual aspect of spoilers. I can read and read all I want, but to me, it's actually seeing it that will give me the experience I'm looking for. And yes, I'm stopping by tomorrow for a tub of Rocky Road, and I'm putting away anything that can break. I know about the endings so I'm gonna prepare accordingly.

I'm jealous  I've just got little miss Arwen, and I had a cat named Pippin a few years ago. 

My next goal is to find a German Shepherd puppy for under $1000, if I do end up getting one I'm debating on naming her "Shepard", "Skipper" (in tribute to Ashley), or something else from ME. While Shepard would be a cool name, most people would probably think "Shepherd" and that I was the most uncreative pet owner in the world.

I once met a dog named Shpard when I worked at an animal shelter. My first thought went to ME and then I was like "No it's just a coincidence" then the owner saw my N7 full-zip hoody and was like "You play Mass Effect too?" and was was like XD.

@leborum I got that glitch too, but not the first time around oddly enough. It wasn't until someone mentioned it here that I replayed it and now I get it every time and I don't know why.

i had a dream the other night where i was being chase by a monster and the me diolouge kept popping up and making my disons for me...it was werid

In my dream, it was time between ME2 and ME3, when he was teaching human biotics and I was one of his students  
We were attracted to each other, but couldnt do anything cuz we both are soldiers and he is my teacher and Im his student.   Very romantic dream <3<3<3
