She's written fics about ME1 & 2 and starting 3. I adored it. I recommend reading all of it!
Giver her some love! Fics like this keep my hopes high for Bioware fixing those endings!

Man, I wish we had that comm system in ME3 like there was in ME2 where you can call up your LI whenever you want. I think it would make sense to be able to do that after the Citadel date as that is when you officially establish the relationship.

As for squadmates being concerned for Shepard, I LOVED that Garrus and Joker are looking out for her like that. Quite honestly, that's exactly how my headcanon plays out. Hell, even Wrex is concerned for her. However, I would've loved to have Kaidan ask about her well-being, too. I was sad that he doesn't really ask how she's doing. Especially at the end of the romance scene, where Shepard is starting to doubt herself, and Kaidan just kind of brushes it off and reassures her that everything will be okay. I completely understand that he's just trying to make her feel better, but I would've liked for Shepard to open up a bit more with him. In my headcanon, as much as she's trying to remain strong, Kaidan is the one that sees through her. I even made up a scene where he goes to her room with a tray of food because he notices that she's not eating.

*sigh* I really need to start writing, lol. My headcanon goes crazy with Kaidan around.

I've gotta ask: What's with the "where are the geth" memes? I must have missed something during one of the 3 games because I can't place where it would have originally come from.

I finished my second playthrough to get the "happy" ending. I have to say with my first playthrough and not having enough ems to get the breathing thing, I was okay with the endings. They could have been better, but whatever, Shepard is dead. What's the point?
But now after the breath ... I want her to get rescued! But who could come get her? Anderson is dead, Normandy crew is stranded who knows where and the relays went boom. Poor Shep ...

And someone talking about "Marauder Shield" killing them ... I know how you feel, This insanity run really hasn't been hard. But THIS guy ... Killed me over and over and over .... I had to restart at least 15 times, I was really getting annoyed at that! But hey I beat him eventually, lol

LoL that was me about Marauder shields! Yeah, Insanity is awesome with a NG+ character...I think I was on my 10th reload and I just gave up! I normally wouldn't bec I'm OCD about completing games but my heart just wasn't in it. I didn't want to inflict the GodChild image into my eyeballs again. My poor poor emotional well being would hate me. Seriously I'm trying to wrap my head around the whole breathing scene! Did the Citadel explode into tiny pieces and landed on earth bec entry into atmo should have finished her off! Ugh Bioware wanted speculation but what I get instead is FRUSTRATION lol.

Read the blog and I think we need to take this as a positive victory. We have gone from no chance, to a maybe, to a yes we are reluctantly fixing them in a few weeks. We need to keep up the pressure but do it constructively. They need to understand why these endings are so bad and why it's important that we get a happy ending.

My biggest thing is they need to throw out the entire Normandy running away scene so it's important to mention this when you tweet them. Also I still think this Google document has the best write up about the ending issues so you can post that too.

We're making progress. We need to get Bioware to see past their artist ego and realize what they did wrong. If we can get them to open their eyes, I think they will see what they did SO wrong.

It's from the Live Feed with Raphael Sbarge last month.  Someone in the live feed chat or twitter asked him to do something in Kaidan.. .or maybe it was Jessica and that's what he said.

There was an hour long interview that Raphael Sbarge did for Bioware Pulse (that was awesome by the way:wub:) where Sbarge was explaining how when you said a line in voice acting you had to have a feeling behind it, my explanation is crappy but he explained it really well in the interview, and he demonstrated this by repeating the line "Hi my name is Kaidan Alenko, where are the geth?" in different ways. And thus a meme of epic proportions was born.

I would have loved to see more comfort scenes with Kaidan too, but I wasn't expecting the scene with Joker and the friendship scenes with Garrus so I really loved those.  Really I just wanted one scene post-Thessia or anywhere between the date and the romance scene where they just talk about her doubts.  I already started to get a sort of bad feeling about the ending after the romance scene when Shepard walks away from the bed and Kaidan has that concerned look on his face and then the scene fades out.  Then of course the farewell scene made me VERY paranoid but I still had hope.  Then I saw the ending and realized oh that's what they're going for....

I'm hopeful after reading that letter from Ray Muzyka.  It's pretty unprecedented I think to have a co-founder of a video game company address that fans did have problems with the ending.  It's funny when Bioware has a better attitude towards us than the mainstream video game sites like IGN, which have been more vocally against us and calling us entitled for wanting a better ending.  It'll take time, but if they can deliver endings that really take into account our feedback I'll be as patient as necessary.

Vote for a new tshirt design! SURPRISE - none of them feature Kaidan.

Though I kinda like the " reapers " shirt, geez, even the Femshep shirt has Ashley on it.

EDIT: Femshep shirt - why do they have no feet? They drew all the way down to the lower leg and cut off their feet?
EDIT2: Calibrations shirt - second sentence is a question without a question mark.

I hope you're correct, but without them admitting how horribly the current sequence fails as a satisfactory ending to the trilogy, I can't see them doing anything but digging the trench deeper around the content they already have and forcing some dubious meaning onto it that was never actually there (and this is pretty much confirmation that it really is as bad as it seems and there was not a shred of meaning to anything that happened in those final scenes).

If they can't admit that the ending fails on nearly every level by now, what is left for us to do? For my part, I'm just going to continue on as before and voice my dissatisfaction with the ending and my belief that they have failed to deliver what they claimed we would get in the finale of an incredible trilogy, but I'm not brimming with confidence that they're going to be changing their tune anytime soon.

I know but it's still progress as I see it. As an artist, I know what it feels like to have my babies/paintings massacred. It's not fun, but at the same time I get more positive than negative feedback so I see it as a few bad apples. However, I would definitely notice if the majority had a fundamental problem with one of my paintings. And the first thing I would do is try in fix that cause, you know, I need money. Artistic integrity be damned. Plus, if a large amount of people are telling me the same thing, it's probably cause I made a mistake, not because they are all jerks who hate art.

The problem I see is that Bioware is not as open to criticism as they claim. They are defending the ending like a mother would a baby. They are looking at us like a bunch of angry bears rather than a bunch of concerned citizens who want to help. If they want to do this they can't do it begrudgingly and they have to open their minds and listen to what we are saying.

We are not just claiming the ending is a piece of garbage. We are saying the ending is a piece of garbage and insult to the series as a whole and here's why. The only way we can make them understand this is to make them look at what we've written. They've taken the first step in trying to figure out the issues. Next is the hard part, admitting you made a mistake.

Again, we are talking about fundamental mistakes not simply difference of opinion. That is the big issue here. It's like the difference between someone saying, 'oh I don't like that color there' to 'Good God, someone put a hole in your painting!'

I guess the problem I have is that I can't see a clear path from here to there. Maybe if we keep at it, but like they always bring up, almost none of the "professional" reviewers care, and all those perfect scores aren't ever going to change. They're always going to have that defense against finally admitting that they really did make a mistake.

It's getting near the point where I'm mostly done with BioWare outside the Dragon Age team. I'll give them the chance to put forward some sort of response to this issue and judge it as fairly as I can, but my interest in the company and its future titles is rapidly dwindling.

Has everyone seen this Mass Effect Romance Survey? I'd love to see how the results turn out, it's gotten a good sampling.
