Is there a contact/troubleshooting area on the main page?  Maybe try there first.  By chance, did you download from Steam?  Think there's a kerfluffle with Steam & EA right now.

Would a flaming Mako and facepalming Kaidan make you feel better?

Nope, I didn't used steam to download BdtS, I used the one in the ME1 website....now the game is installing and the dlc too, but I'm still worried that maybe my code was copied or something, because I don't have a good answer for that...
I never had a problem when I was using windows xp, now that I'm using win7 I'm starting to have weird problems....
The thing about ea cancelling my account is still pissing me off...because I never done anything that goes against their policy....:S so, I don't understand why or when they did that...because I haven't received any mail to inform me about that.

Anyway....I'm not going to waste my time trying to figure out why they cancelled my account (I don't understand it, but they are not going to give me my account back) or trying to figure out why my ME1 cd key says that it's invalid....

The only brainscanner I can think of is Liara, and I can only see her squealing under stupidity or spite.  I like to think she's a little more intelligent and compassionate than that.  And if Miranda had to reconstruct Shepard's brainmeat neuron by neuron, then that calls into question once again Shepard being the Real Shepard.

Besides, if they had brainscanning technology, why would they ever resort to harsh interrogations like they do throughout the series?  Just scan the bastard and go home early. 

I agree.  I don't think they did brain scans unless Liara was involved.  That's something that makes me uneasy, actually.  With this talk about a "twist" with Shepard, I'm a little worried about the possibility that she's a clone or AI or something programmed with Shepard's memories from Liara's head... I mean, there's a good chance Liara has all of Shepard's memories up until they decided to go to Ilos.  I don't think they'd do that--I'm more in the reaper tech/indoctrinated camp, but it was something that worried me.  It would be SO unfair to the LIs if they pulled something like that.  "Hey, your dead girlfriend is back!  Oh, guess what, she's not really your dead girlfriend."   They wouldn't do something that devastating, right?  Right?? Kaidan deserves better than that.  Shepard had *better* remember that night before Ilos. 

Actually, that's something cool about having Kaidan or Ashley for a LI, rather than Liara... I have this idea in my head of Shepard telling Kaidan that the night before Ilos not only meant as much to her, but the memory of it is proof that she's really Shepard.  You wouldn't have that with Liara.

For starters, we'd probably be playing with Kaidan...I mean, playing as Kaidan.  He would be default image, we'd stare at his buns the whole time...but we'd have difficulty seeing his face whenver we wanted.  It would be interesting though, what would Shepard be like as an NPC?

As for treated better, he would be if only because he's PC.

OTOH, we'd have fights over mAlenko or FemAlenko, if Shepard should be considered for s/s romance, who would be better left on Virmire, etc.

Unless you mean we're still playing as Shepard, the underling to Kaidan.  In that case, he probably would be hated more since people have problems with authority figures in games.  Anderson and Hackett are exception, since tthey're meted out in small doses and never really has complete authority over Shepard.  If the PC Shepard has to take orders from Kaidan, or follow his lead, there'd be cries for mutiny.  It wouldn't be limited to Kaidan either; whoever is an authority figure in the game would probably receive scorn.  The leader would have to be very hands-off, like Anderson & Hackett, to be acceptable.

But it's just my opinion, don't go spreading it around.  

I was actually thinking on the former. But yeah, I guess it would've gone to the same path as Shepard's. I would probably enjoy the game a thousand times more because I get to see Kaidan kicking ass, punching that interviewer himself and being an all better suave and boss than Shepard could with the possibility of killing him so many times because we're too busy appreciating his other ass-ets.

That was one of the first things I thought of back when I played ME2 the first time (swapping Shepard and Kaidan there), but alas I suspect Joker was watching or listening or otherwise in the know ( as he calls in "5 minutes" regardless of whether you sex Kaidan or not... gameplay mechanic, maybe, but the implication is there XD ).  So, if false memories are possible, Cerberus could have rigged something out of his eyewitness.

So if they went into extreme detail and every little bit corroborated, maybe.  (Although Kaidan's memory of events probably wouldn't match 1:1 Shepard's memory of events anyway - since human memory is kinda weird like that.)

I don't know.  I suspect it's supposed to be the real Shepard and it simply wasn't meant to be questioned, but I found the whole death and resurrection thing really poorly handled.  <_<
