I never got that option with Liara even when I did talk to her before Kaidan/Ash in ME3.

I don't know why she was always locked out. Not that I mind, but it was sort of weird.

I almost got ninjamanced by her once in the first game too.  Kaidan was all jealous of her and I was like "WUT?!"  I fixed that by never speaking to her on the Normandy anymore,

I seriously had that "choose between Liara and Kaidan" scene every single time I played as FemShep until I finally realized if I just stopped talking to Liara, she would never try to romance me.

I like Liara as a character though, and I do need to make a playthrough where I romance her... but it's really hard. I don't think I can go ME1 without romancing Kaidan (unless I'm doing Ash as LI for M!Shep, and that was once and was the most difficult decision ever because I still wanted to save Kaidan).

Lol ... I must be renegade at heart cause most the time I choose the option and then think "is that all? I would have said worse" :innocent: But I think I'll struggle to not cure the genophage ... That was one of my favourite parts!

I wish I could take screen shots, my husband just got ME & ME2 on our laptopso I'm looking forward to playing all the way through and going nuts on the screen shots! Plus I'll find out all the little things we miss by playing on PS3!

Not sure how to scroll down the bottom on a phone ... Sometimes technology is beyond me!

As disappointed as I was in the ending I just love the Kaidan romance too much to not play, currently doing my renegade Shep and loved being harsh with Kaidan on mars, it really fit with her character and it wasn't until he nearly died that she realized what she nearly lost. I know the feeling. For me, it's a mix of Kaidan and recording scenes/getting screenshots that's enabling me to replay. I have no clue how you're managing a Renegade, unless you're truly Renegade at heart  I always feel awful if I choose a Renegade choice that I don't initially agree with.

You guys are so awesome! Thanks for the support! And now I'm crying...but it's tears of mirth...oh, God, that Marauder Shields video is hilarious!!  I can't stop laughing. That totally distracted me from the emptiness I was feeling after finishing ME3.

Headcanon-wise, I think I'm still in too much of a shock to come up with my own ending. I honestly don't even know what the hell happened after getting knocked out by Harbinger to even try to headcanon something. I guess I need a few days to get over the ending and then I'll invent my own, lol.
As for Liara...I really like her as a character, but she grew very annoying after Bioware began shoving her down our throats. I mean, seriously? It has to be Liara that "comforts" Shepard after the nightmares. Also, wtf? I ignored her in ME1 (to avoid her ninjamancing me), was a total Renegade to her in ME2 (didn't even get my dog tags back from her because I didn't invite her to my room), and she still thinks I feel something for her other than friendship.  And what was up with her goodbye scene? At first it was like, "This...this is your surprise? You're showing me what I glance at every night before I go to bed?" and then she puts her head on my shoulder. My Shepard went . Please don't think I'm bashing Liara. Like I said, I like her character. I just hate that Bioware forces her on us. I wanted to grab her shoulders and shake her while yelling, "I LOVE KAIDAN, DAMN IT! ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL!!"

EDIT: @ Red: I went Renegade on Kaidan at Mars, too, and I actually liked what she said. It totally fit my Shepard. I was so afraid that it would affect his romance, but I guess it didn't. *shrug* Adrienne loves Kaidan but was really upset that he had the gall to believe she still worked for Cerberus. Emotions are running high after Earth and having Kaidan accusing her of still being with Cerberus just pissed her off. It wasn't until he almost died that she realized life was too short. She couldn't bear the thought of him dying after she went Renegade on him. So, yeah, she totally changed after that.

I totally know what you mean.  There are times where I would have verbally ripped people to shreds and my Shep says something like "You're a jerk!"  I'm all:  "THAT'S IT?!  That's my Renegade response?  Why isn't my fist in their face?"

As far as the Genophage, I agree.  I got to that part of the game and it was hard.  My current Shep (Thanemance) got so far as to pull a gun on Mordin, but didn't pull the trigger.  I don't think any of my Sheps could, personally.  Maybe my pure Renegade Mirandamance m!Shep.

Garrus, definitely.  Jacob's just not worth it.

Which is too bad because Thane was a stud.  I'm playing his romance playthrough right now.  Kinda pointless now that he's dead and all.  Oh well, maybe I'll get to see Théodwyn breathe at the end.

I agree, the Thane fans got kind of screwed. If Thane was my LI I would hate to get pretty much just a kiss and then have him die. I liked Thane a lot an I've romanced him in previous playthroughs. Would have been nice to see it continue.  it's a shame he couldn't join you in ME3.

I think when it comes to romances in ME3, we Kaidanites hit the jackpot.

So true. Started my Garrus run and already I"m like... should I let Garrus down gently?  But Kaidan has had his share. Time to give my favorite birdman some love, although Kaidan will always be my top choice.

The line that cracks me up is "you big stupid jellyfish" I could not stop laughing after that!  Which I know isn't technically a renegade response but come of Shep ... Seriously!

But I did think that Shep saying to Kaidan "I'm done explaining myself to you" was a fair call.  I just keep reminding myself that is all part of my experiment to see the other side of Shep whenever I do a renegade that I feel bad about!
