Yeah, I still have a problem with this.  You either have to flirt with JVegas, or be a dick to him, and apparently you still flirt anyways.  My Shepard just doesn't know what to do.  Can't they just have a nice chat?  He's not her type to start with, and she's head over heels for Kaidan.  But I suppose since nothing ever comes of it, Kaidan wouldn't have a problem with it.  After all, he's willing to sacrifice himself for some Ardat-Yakshis, and totally thinks EDI's hott.

Yeah I think he'd be cool with it, it's just harmless banter. If anything it's more Shepard trying to tease Vega because he's a bit of a show off. I have friends that I talk to like that who I would never dream of persuing.

I dont think kaidan would really care. And besides, the harmless flirting with vega is amazingly funny. especially when you call him on it xD .

Lol! You know, I got her only because she's a War Asset, but I completely forgot that she was down there until she requested to meet with me. I really liked her goodbye e-mail, though. I actually thought it was really sweet. And don't get me started on Kaidan's and Garrus' goodbyes...I freakin' cried like a baby!

@ Nonnehoidea: In regards to Kaidan's reaction to Vega's flirting, I just had a conversation about this with a close friend of mine (and fellow Kaidanite). I'm very curious as to how he would react to hearing Vega call her Lola or even hearing Thane call her "siha", for that matter. 

For "siha", my friend suggested that maybe Kaidan thinks it's some drell version of "Commander" so he doesn't really question it. Actually, does Kaidan ever hear Thane call her "siha"? In my headcanon, he does, but in the actual game I don't think you ever see Kaidan and Thane interact in front of Shepard.

As for "Lola", I don't know how he would react. Maybe just a tiny bit jealous at how close Vega seems to be acting toward the Commander? But I don't think he would act on it...maybe just mention something nonchalantly asking why Vega calls her Lola.

On a different subject, I just started a NG+ hoping to catch everything I missed on my first playthrough. I know I missed some Kaidan auto dialogue. So, in the leaked script, I read a conversation you can have with him where he vents about the Reapers and how he says he just wants for everything to be over and live a normal life. Has anyone heard this in the game? Like I said, I missed a lot of his auto dialogue, but I'm starting to notice that not everything on the leaked script made it to the game.

I should have elaborated that the reason I felt so empty at the end was because I hated seeing Kaidan coming out of the Normandy in that garden world.  During his goodbye scene, it broke my heart to hear him say, "I can't lose you again" just because I knew that Shepard wasn't coming back. I cried my eyes out!  

On a different note, is it wrong of me to feel jealous that Kaidan might have...copulated with some of the Normandy crewmembers? I'm assuming that the Stargazer and the kid at the very end are descendants of the Normandy crew considering the camera pans out to show us the two moons. Better not have been Allers...

Oh I've just finished it too... and same for me, seeing Kaidan out of the ship kinda broke my heart. I assumed he had died during the final assault and this way, Shepard could happily sacrified herself too : she would be joining him in eternity and (okay just stop the violins back there ).

Still. I had prefered if he had died too. No way he outlives me ! It's unfair

 Wait there's a DLC coming out next month? I saw someone post it here and I'm on my phone so it's kinda hard to look for it. I thought they were just officially addressing the situation. 


On a different, more Kaidan-y note lol if you romanced someone in ME2, is the hospital scene the only time you talk about it? I kinda wanna see more of that "talk" but from what I saw on YouTube you just apologize <_<....all my Sheps were faithful to Kaidan except for one and I'm reluctant to play it since its Thane and I feel bad about the whole situation  lol

On the subject of Romances in general, they seem to have cut a lot of dialogue and content from the original script. For example when Thane gets killed, if you romanced him in the script Shepard recites the prayer for him and Thane asks when she learnt it, he then dies as he goes back into one of his vivid memories of the night they bunked together in ME2. They also cut out some dialogue from Garrus' date where a C-sec guard catches you on the roof and Garrus makes a smart arse comment about having a car chase. They cut out a whole bunch of stuff from the Kaidan romance too.

It's a shame they done that, there were some real gems in those cut scenes.

Thing is, the entire crew of the Normandy is not NEARLY enough people to create a sustainable population on a new planet.  Estimates of the number necessary vary but tend around 500-1000 absolute minimum, going as high as 4000.

I can't find a specific reference to the size of the crew on an Alliance frigate, but in Shepard's ME2 interview with Al-Jilani she refers to the Turian cruisers - a much larger ship - as having a crew of about 300 each.

Don't try to make sense of the the Normandy/jungle world scene, Soccerchic - there's no sense to be made of it.  Strike it from your mind .

It's funny, my husband actually expressed this jealousy.  In his Normandy/jungle world scene, Ashley and Vega emerged - he was like, "The last thing Bioware shows me is that my girlfriend is going to be shacking up with meathead in no time at all?  That's just mean..."

 Diana Allers is IGN right?  I kicked her off my ship - did not like the character at all and is not pleasant to look at all imo.

I have found some differences in my faithful Shep and my un-faithful Shep too, if loyal when Kaidan asks if he can join the Normandy the conversation is more informal he says something like, getting his head around pulling a gun on somebody I love and when you accept him as a squaddie you get to ogle his butt:wub:

However my un-loyal Shep got a more fomal conversation all Commander and Major and no butt ogling!!!!

Yeah, I can totally see it 
It's a pity we don't get to see some banters between the two of them (ok, it's a pity we don't get to see more banters and in-dialogue acknowledgment of the romance at all), but regardless, I always imagine something like that!
I liked the interaction between Shep and Vega, but I would have liked it more if there was a third option other than flirt and harshness

Regarding Vega flirting- the way he reacts to some stuff I say I just imagine my Shep doing it to get him react and they both laugh about it after since it means nothing. I do it to my guy friends all the time and my husband doesn't get jealous cause we're just having fun. That's how I imagine this so I don't think my Shepard is a hussy. Also my husband's Shep who romanced Liars, Miranda, then ash had some weird out of character convos with him. Like the hard/soft bed comment

I was thinking that too... bugger Bioware and their scissors... I want all the dialog i can get... it's horrible to cut anything like that.

Yeah, he says he's glad he never met any Ardat-Yakshis before because he'd be a goner.  Implication: Kaidan cannot resist lethal asari sex.  However, since they seem to use mind control, I don't blame him too much.
