Have you guys seen the newest tweet from @MassEffect?

If you're referencing the one where they say they'll be "clarifying" things ... you know, for us poor dumb ole' boys and gals who can't be bothered to figure out their high falutin' art for ourselves ... then yeah.

It makes me want to get a picture of ****** Christ, photoshop out the crucifix and put a copy of ME3 in its place with the caption "BioWare's 'art' ... Yeah, pretty much like that"

 Scared of you...

Okay, on a happier note, say ME3 ended with both Shep and Kaidan alive. How would you guys like your Sheps to "settle down", if at all?

I would just be happy if they showed Kaidan getting down on one knee and asking Shap to marry him, then i could die a happy person........though i would love to see Hackets face if that happend right in front of him:P

Ooh, good question!  I always imagine them continuing to serve, but with the Alliance aware of their relationship, they're forced onto different vessels.  So they take their shore leave together, talk lots on holovids, and argue with each other about who should step down from command.  Eventually, one of two things happens: 1) Kaidan can't take it anymore and asks for a civillian post working with human biotics at the station that serves as Shep's base and occaisonally goes on runs with her as support, or 2) Shepard accidentally gets pregnant and steps down.  I just can't see Shepard volunteering for a life outside the Alliance.  I suspect in scenario 1, Kaidan could wear her down enough to at least accept a desk job, if not retire.

You don't think the Alliance would cut them some slack? It should be the least they could do, given everything Shep and Kaidan have done for not just the Alliance, but the whole freakin' Galaxy!

Well SpacerShep's parents made it work somehow, so there must be some kind of a precedent.

Well, considering that I'm tired of all this ending senselessness, I'd reflect that in my Shepard and she'd go for some work related to helping the galaxy rebuild (assuming it's feasible and the relays didn't go boom), while Kaidan teaches/leads an Alliance Biotic Division. But I don't see my Shepard retiring anytime soon, just doing a smaller amount of life threatening missions, I guess to follow her mother's example, as she's still serving as well (spacer kid).

Retirement, They've done enough.
Nice house with an English bay in Canada living with Kaidan's widow Mom, where they drink beers as she backs fresh Pie. Kaidan wears Shepards old N7 hoody which is well faded yet still wears it all the time.

Is it sad I thought about it that much?

That sounds pretty aweome.  I wish my mother-in-law benevolently baked pies.  Can I live in your imaginary world?

Shenko babies, for sure. But I honestly don't see Shepard leaving the Alliance for good, via retirement or otherwise. I think her and Kaidan would make it work. (My Shep's also a Spacer kid.)

Sure, theres not much else there, just a house in the middle of a huge field. Guess theres room to build your own home there.

Also marriage of course, Anderson/Chakwas/Hackett will be walking them down the aisle in some combo.

Edit: Just noticed my spelling mistake...Mom backs? pies? She supports pie's causes? >.>; Bakes.

Ugh, I just saw the live action trailer while watching the State/Kansas game.
Three weeks ago I would've been spastically pumped. Now I just feel... ugh...

Obviously, I am still cranky.

*Kaidan's mom hands you a warm pie*

I know that feel. I still can't put the game back in my xbox. Partially why I've been trying to solidify my post ending world in my head.

This is how I feel about it. They can be on Earth, helping rebuild it.
And Shenko babies ftw

I'm a total idealist, but my vision of post-ME would keep my Shep in Alliance active duty aboard the Normandy with Kaidan. They could fly around doing Alliance business and Spectre stuff, getting married along the way and maybe popping out a kid or two. Sorta like Spacer Shep's parents.
I really like the name Ashley Alenko for a daughter. Not that I've been pondering potential child names or anything...

Now, here's to the faint hope that BW actually gives us these options... If not, I may just have to start writing down my fanfics instead of leaving them in my brain.

I always wanted the paragon ending to be Shepard taking up the council seat myself.

I am personally of the mind that my Shepard would retire, and be carefully pushed into take the Human council seat. Kaidan would continue to lead biotics division, though with less hands on than previously.

Retiring, becoming human, councilor, marrying, staying on duty...Now why can't we all get these endings? That would've been a true ending for ME3.

Keep in mind that they're also Spectres.  Not sure if that'll be anything but a meaningless title from the past by the end of the game, but even if it is I imagine the lingering weight of the title alone would allow them to skirt some regs.

I imagine that my Shepard would be done with the front lines.  For one thing I think the Destroy ending would cause some of her cybernetic implants to fail, probably leaving her less physically capable than she used to be.  For another, she'd probably be promoted and strongly encouraged to take on more administrative and ambassadorial roles.  There is a lot of rebuilding to do, both physically and of galactic society in general.  Who better to ask than Shepard?  And she would never say no.

I love hearing everyone's different endings, it really says a lot about your Sheps :D Personally, I think mine would end up flipping her desk over after day two if she had to do any sort of paper pushing or administrative leadership type roles.
Or maybe it's just the adventure junkie inside of me who says she'll stay in active duty taking down Mercs like the good ol' days. But hey, we can have headcanons, right?

This! It would've been nice if we could conclude the series on a relatively happy note DA:O style. When I played through ME3, I was really, really hoping my Shepard could get a break. While I don't completely mind dark or bittersweet endings, I seriously wanted a happy ending option for her. I mean, is that so bad? :pinched:

DA:O was a bittersweet ending: people died, but if you did everything right, you could have even become a queen *coughcough*Alistair*coughcough*

Of course I wasn't expecting Shepard to become a queen, but a happier ending where she survives and is reunited with her squad would have been nice. They didn't even have to show anything. Someone could've asked Shepard what she was going to do next and we could've picked from a list...:crying:

I had my Shep's future semi mapped out berfore ME3

Shep would be glad to retire after the Reaper war. she's had enough death and voilance to last her 3..maybe 4 life times. I see her I don't know.. helping with the rebuild then maybe helping with that Shepard Scolership thin that was mentioned in ME2..with the occaional vist form her firends and off corse haveing some kids with Kaidan..but not marrige..[ my shep is just happy knowing that Kaidan loves her and forgives her for the cerbures inccednt]

Oh yeah, I definitely hear you. I played the Human Noble, so it was terrible knowing that Fergus would never see his family again, and that my character's parents were dead. However, my entire team came out on top, and I got to be Alistair's "ball and chain." lol.

I agree that it would've been nice if we could've picked from a list, similar to the way Alistair asked my character what she intended on doing since the Blight was over. While I don't see my Shep retiring, I'd be satisfied if she took some well deserved leave with Kaidan to do anything, like find his mom.

DA:O endings had good variety. Anywhere from happy, sacrifice, to allow another to die. My shep would definately want some time alone with Kaidan. Just the two of them for at least 2 weeks. I could see myself helping war orphans. Maybe encouraging them and also help rebuild earth. I could see Kaidan still teaching. Definately can see myself getting married and pregnat. Cute little biotic babbies:innocent:

I imagine my Shep has to be alive simply because she has a very strong will to live, after "I can't lose you again" line from Kaidan. Well, and her mom. (space kid)  She probably have very serious injuries, and take many many months to recover, while Kaidan is still beside her (well, nursing his health too)

Probably her squadmates and Anderson will come by to visit her, but they will all have to get on with their lives, like thinking how to get the hell out of Earth and back to their homeworld. In my canon, some thing will work out like space magic.

Given that the Citadel is destroyed, there is no longer a council seat. But eventually, being the 'saviour of the galaxy', she has a lot of ambassador kind of work to do. She will probably become the representative face of humanity, but still not pushing paper-councilor kind of work.

After all, she has a lot of pull politically, Wrex/Eve : saving krogans from the Genophage, some hints that Garrus will become a Primach one day, Tali a Vice Admiral, Liara as shadow broker, even Aria for Omega (if mercernaries are needed). Peace is still a pretty new and uneasy thing, so she still have a lot of work in front of her. Probably issues she will face are the Asari and the Salarians, but her never-say-die attitude will eventually solve all this.

In my head canon, Kaidan and Shep are super workaholics, so in case there's a fraternizing charge, they will get married to be together (and out of love of course). The first few years both of them will stay on Earth to help rebuild, and that's when they have to meet both of their moms. I can so imagine my female Shep freaking out a little for her first meeting with Kaidan's mom. (and vice versa for Kaidan and Shep's mom. She is vice admiral afterall. lol) Kaidan's mom would be quite proud of her son to manage to nab the 'saviour' as his wife, while Shep's mom will tease him a little (my Shep's spunky attitude do come from somewhere.)

I also tried to imagine Shep actually got pregnant from the night before hitting the Cerberus base, I doubt all those injuries would make that big an issue since it was really early pregnancy. Or the conception is as strong as both the characters - determined to survive. Okay, going crazy here. But I thought it would be quite a good story if Shep discover she's actually pregnant at the aftermath. You know, like hope springs eternal? Her first one will be a daughter, a beautiful red head like her mom, and aspiring to be a great marine like her parents. They will have more kids definitely. Kaidan would use all sorts of excuses to get a jump on Shep.

But once the kids are of certain age, and the galactic races' conflicts start to become more dangerous, Anderson will come and ask Shep to step in and do her ambassador work. She would never say no and she miss her friends. Kaidan would understand and they will go together from colonies to colonies to help iron out issues, the kids following them.

Eventually, the little redhead will be as spunky as her mom, and she becomes Commander Shepard II. She can go about telling her own crew how she was there when her mom was busting caps in the face of Cannibals and Marauders, and crushing skulls on husks. lol

Yeah, I loved DA:O so much because of the variety. I particularly liked the way extra scenes were added to give more weight to the coices that were made. For example, the Warden's funeral, Alistair's sacrifice, Alistair's coronation, and so on were all a part of the experience. Also, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing biotic babies complete with hair bumps. ;)

My Shep would want to relax after the events of the trilogy, but I don't see her and Kaidan settling down until they start a family. Unlike others here, my Shep's renegade past would keep her from serving as an ambassador or councillor, and I imagine she would be called up for one last missing to put down what's left of the Krogan, seeing as how she is the one who decided not to cure them.
