Okay, on a happier note, say ME3 ended with both Shep and Kaidan alive. How would you guys like your Sheps to "settle down", if at all?

I think Anelle is more than ready to retire after all of this.  I think she'd go into more of a "military celebrity" type role - appearances and speeches where necessary but otherwise as quiet a life as she can manage.  Maybe in the end both she and Kaidan would move on to teacher roles - I don't think she'd mind him continuing in active duty for quite a while longer - it's the life they both know and it's what she's used to.  She just doesn't want to fight anymore, having seen and done far too much in her life so far.

with my paragon canon femshep he said 'are you flirting with me'. did he not say it as i cheated on him?

I got the flirting line on my Garrus romance save. Maybe it's a paragon/renegade thing?

AHA! Then that pretty much says how you react on Mars triggers whether you get the flirtation in the Hospital or not.

What just popped into my head - being an adept herself, the Alliance might put her in charge of Grissom Academy, where she and Kaidan can teach biotic students. They will scandalize and disgust the students by being so openly in love with each other This makes me smile inside.

And with Jack's Swear jar, make enough extra money to buy their own ship to live on! Therefor never having to settle down, or get tied into anymore "we need a hero!!" situations. Joker, of course would be the pilot, with Edi in the copilot seat.

garrus shep did renegade all responses on mars, she was very pissed off

My Shep is keeping the Normandy, whether the Alliance likes it or not  She's not done being the hero yet... I don't think she could go three days without going stir crazy if she had to settle down or take some sort of stationary job. Although shore leave is always appreciated.

The flirting line is most likely bugged. I tested it yesterday many times. If you buy him present, it gets activated everytime. But if you DON'T, it gets activated if you ask about Horizon and his family first (two options on the right) and then about biotics, but not if you ask about anything else. Doesn't really make any sense. I think it's a bug and they wanted this line to activate only when you buy present.

My Noami Shepard is a Spacer and I just don't see her retiring from the Navy. Kaidan either, not in "my" ME universe at least, because he mentions more than once that he's a career man, always will be an Alliance soldier, and wants to serve. I always figured they'd make it work, like Shep's parents have. They'd have one kid, maybe two. Shep wouldn't change her name if they get married.
I pretend that the relays weren't destroyed, so they'd roam the galaxy kicking some merc ass and helping to rebuild.

Ideally I'd like her and Kaidan to head to that random apartment she won as part of Pinnacle station. Might as well get some use out of it since she took it from the old man hoping to retire there!

Not necessarily, it may just be that you have to communicate a certain level of interest in him/your relationship.

It may work off of "points" the same way that the whole option for Geth/Quarian peace does.

I think this is right when I did my first playthough I didn't buy the gift but still activated it

I do have a couple plot bunnies still nibbling around for fics, but I think I need to catch up on school work before I write more right now, since between the game, the endings and the Retake movement I'm a bit behind.

i just watched a video of Ashley hung over, how come Kaidan didn't go to that party lol. I'd loved to have threatened Kaidan with testing the fire alarm (i -think- he said fire alarm)

That would have been semi awesome.  However, I don't really think it fits in with Kaidan's character so wouldn't have had the same impact.
