I'm pretty sure its fake, every other PC has marriage under the info. What if Shep romanced Garrus/Tali. The whole list of new characters smells like BS to me, I wouldnt worry. Again like you, I sufferered with depression and my other half has been battling it for the last 5 years. So again dont worry, heck its form 4chan.

Until its an official statement from an 'official' Bioware rep, just ignore the trolls... try not to get upset about them, its giving them what they want...

I guess it's just the other people in the thread that ****** me off. Using stereotypes like anyone could be suicidal, you just don't know it! No, the one thing that causes suicidal tendencies is not talking about your problems. It builds up inside until there is so much guilt, so much pain that you can think of only one option. Either that or there is a noticeable downturn in that person where all they talk about is the depressing things in life.

Someone like Kaidan who exercises healthy conversation every time he is feeling a bit down is not a type of person who would just up and commit suicide.

That would make sense. I'm sure there's a lot of content I'm missing by constantly choosing Kaidan over Ashley but I'm sure I'll get over it.

Ashley?  Ashley?  Ah yes, her name's on the plaque on the Normandy - that's the only way she gets on to my ship!  I did once consider saving her and not Kaidan.  Considered it for all of 2 seconds, and went 'nahhhh!'.

Okay, like most people here, I have my... differences... with the ending that we got, and with it being some time before we even find out what exactly will be done with it, I figured I'd just write my own headcanon and use that until a better option comes along. Unfortunately... I can't write descriptive prose to save the galaxy, so the fanfic idea died a somewhat untimely death. On the other hand, I've picked up a knack for using game models for comic/graphic novel formats. So I went and did that instead, meaning instead of a fanfic you get four images. Oh well. Hopefully the Kaidan content will make up for it.

There are people earning a good salary at Bioware who should be ahsamed of themselves when they read the stuff you ladies are producing, and producing for free.

I'm going to watch BW very closely over the next month and see what they do. If this is how they are going to treat their customers and fans I want no part in it. Will the real ending be released? Will they actully charge for it? Why should I buy it? Should I expect this sort of thing in the future from them? I will not be buying games from them if this is the kinda thing I should expect. My life sucks as it is and I play games to escape. I don't need a game to make me feel like crap and everything I poured into my games end up worthless. Sorry for the rant but it seems I keep going thru highs and lows. It's just insulting to me that they would treat customers this way. Now I'm nervous for DA3 and I love that series but should I expect this sort of thing from them as well. *sigh* Give me some good news BW please!!

for most of these reasons i keep entirely away from the main forums now, only two I really visit are this one and the de/motivationals threads, sometimes the MP one.... too much lying and trolling going on these days and until we get an official word from Bioware everythings is a lie or a troll these days

Regardless of whether or not we're getting playable dlc for the endings or a five minute comic strip or w/e, it will still take them time to produce so we'll have to wait either way

Just keep to this forum and avoid the idiots in the others, will be a good way for us to keep our sanity yea?

I feel a lot like you. I enjoyed to play the game very much. The journey was exciting, moving and sometime it made me laugh. The romance arc with Kaidan was beautiful. Oh my, I cried as a little child in the final dialogue. But these endings are too bitter for my taste. The Devs talked about 16 different endings, so why can't I have one option of Kaidan and Shep to survive together. I want them to have a future. Besides that I still don't understand how Kaidan was on the Normandy on the end of the game....

And with that new "leak" I just wouldn't believe it, some of it sounds good but the VS thing is plain awful and here's hoping it is just a troll.

Well, I read the notice from the guy on Penny Arcade (who run the charity) and he says explicitly that he agrees with the cause but that the campaign was causing too many problems for them.  As I understand it, they politely asked the Hold the Line people to stop.  He didn't sound unreasonable unless he was trolling.

I come with a small humble question.
To get away from my ending(s) depression, I considered turning on my Photoshop and making a new Shenko-centric wallpaper for my desktop. One that shows the whole development of their romance from ME1 onwards to the, uh, "resolution" in ME3. Sadly, my PC seems to hate me and keeps crashing whenever I try to make enough screencaps to fit with what I have in mind. A friend of mine offered me some screencaps of her Shep with Kaidan, and that gave me an idea. I thought that instead of just showing my Shep's long romantic journey, I could make more of a general tribute to the romance by including different Shepards from different players, all united in their love for and appreciation of Kaidan and his arc. I guess it'll be kind of a tribute to the Kaidanites, as well, now that I think about it.
Eh, that sounded way cheesier than I intended, but I hope you can still guess what I meant with it...
I don't know if there's any interest at all in my little project and I don't want to bore you all into oblivion, so I won't go into details right now. But I would, of course, gladly share all of my ideas with anyone who might be interested. There'd be a lot of pictures and a lot of quotes!
In short, my question would be: Is there any interest in contributing to such a project? Would you be willing to send me screencaps en masse that I could then use for the wallpaper? I'd completely understand if you weren't fine with sharing your screencaps and Shepards, of course.
It's Femshep/Kaidan only because it'll feature this specific romance arc, but I would gladly work on an m/m counterpart later on if anyone were interested (although I would need some help with that, I fear, because I don't know that much about this romance and don't intend to ever do it - my one and only Mshep left Kaidan on Virmire and is currently torn between Ashley and the awesomness that is Cortez :/ )

I do think, by the way, that this new leak is a fake. No way they would kill of the VS, they'd alienate a pretty large part of their fanbase by doing so. But I'm inclined to not believe anything until I get official word from Bioware, there are too many rumours flying around right now. I just hope they'll fix this mess properly, so I can play ME3 without the feeling of inevitable sadness looming over me. And I really don't want to give up on Bioware, I'm already a bit excited for DA3 after their announcement a few days ago.

I just read the leak and for the life of me it makes no sense. I mean, why would the team need to fly around the galaxy looking for bits of Shepard to rebuild her? (Unless I've completely misunderstood... which is possible since I'm hung over lol.) And Shepard being advent? I don't get it, does that mean they'd rebuild her but she'd become the terminator and try to kill everyone? Sorry for my stupidity lol.

Man they better not kill of the VS... they better not let any of them kill themselves.

Agreed.  As for the Asari not sharing, they're following the Golden Rule = He who has the gold makes the rules.

And now it brings up something else that doesn't make sense.  Saren got the Cipher from the Thorian, and it was needed to understand the Beacon.  If they had a Beacon on Thessia, how would they understand anything from it.  Or, why would Saren need it from the Thorian anyway, why not get it from an Asari.  Surely Benezia has that kind of pull.  Yeah, it's nitpicky.  Is there a doc out there with a list of the inconsistencies, retcons, and lore errors in ME3?

Not all of their gods. Just the one.

I think the asari tend to be sort of polytheistic. Liara even says that Athame is am older deity that most asari don't really pay much attention to, and I don't think Athame is necessarily identified with the "goddess" they reference a lot.

Jacob is just one of those guys who wants an extraordinary woman like Shep or Miranda, but still wants to feel like he's always the alpha male.

That's why Dr. Cole is perfect for him. She's extraordinary, but not in a way that keeps him from feeling like the alpha male.

Shep and Miranda were screwed from the start because they never needed him to save them,

Kaidan doesn't need to feel like or prove he's a boss. He just knows he is, and that's enough for him.

I have chronic migraine.

I can relate from another angle. Talking about how your head hurts is not whining when it comes to migraines. Believe me! And to see how many people think that someone is just whining ... They clearly have no idea that it's actually a serious medical issue that can actually kill you (I know of two people who have had strokes brought on by migraine attack; one of them died after being turned away by an ER as a "drug seeker"). Myself, I went through a period of several years where I was averaging one day in three pain free, It's taken me several more years, a dedicated neurologist, cycling through multiple medication and behavior regimes and now a strict medication and daily living plan to get my life back and under control to where I have a normal family again - even a child, something I previously would never have entertained. And I'm only one of my family who has migraine although I am the worst off by far.

And to hear all the people who say over and over how they gleefully kill Kaidan because he mentions it? ...

Yeah, makes my blood boil.
