I don't understand why Liara is in such denial about the Protheans being such a big part of Asari history. You'd think she'd be thrilled!
I think it goes back to the arrogance thing. The Asari believe they are so much better than everyone in the galaxy that they couldn't have been so influenced by the Protheans. Even though there are many other races who were.

I hate how everyone is so sympathetic about Thessia but no one seems to care if you have a run where you have to kill either the Quarians or the Geth. Hell, Tali kills herself and even Kaidan doesn't ask you how you're doing. That was the most devastating moment of the game for me and everyone is running around crying about Thessia.
I don't understand this either, I can understand the sympathy for Thessia in the same sense as Palavan or Earth, not the 'Oh Goddess our world is destroyed, no one has ever been through this before' mindset that comes through in the game. Also the fact that Kaidan rarely if at all (not going back through all my videos to confirm sorry
) shows any concern over Shepard's mindset except in the final romance scene. I would have thought he would be right there with Garrus and everyone else trying to make sure Shepard stays on the up side of things, reiterating throughout the story that she is not alone in this.
Gah the more I think about it, the more problems I find with the game, story and everything... I really need to quit thinking about this so much and go back to suspension of disbelief.
/sigh
I can't really figure that out. Now obviously after Thessia, it is going to be Liara that is most effected. And of course the crew is going to be devastated, it wasn't just Shepard's "failure" it was all of them, because they are totally loyal to her, they are going to place blame on themselves as well. This team has NEVER failed. As for who comes to Shepard afterwards, I guess maybe it's because Kaidan trusts her enough to believe if she needs him, she'll COME to him. Which in my opinion, should be an option! I'm ok that he doesn't come running to check on her, because there are some negative connotations to that if he did. People would be upset that he thinks she's somehow weak. I wouldn't, most of us probably wouldn't but there it is.
But there should be an option for HER to go to him for a scene, just a talk even. There was one after Jacob's mission I just discovered, which makes it even stranger.
But Garrus and Joker being the ones that come to Shepard, well they are the only two that have been with her every. single. step. Even Kaidan wasn't. These two, to me, probably have an even stronger bond with her through camaraderie and friendship, at this point, because Kaidan and Shep are having to get to know each other again, that reunion wasn't exactly smooth...and they are still figuring things out and that is ok too. I'm at least glad it's them.
