I was wondering...

How did you like Kaidan's new design ?
I mean, I thought he was handsome in ME3, and I really appreciated that his face and gestures were made so expressive - eventhough his expressions are weird at times - the worst being when he talks about Ilos, he looks like a pervert  .
But... (there is always a "but" !)
He was too muscled for my tastes : I thought his muscles where just perfect in ME1, now he looks as if he eats steroids everyday for breakfast !
And I miss his olive skin, his exotic eyes... As some of you told in previous posts, he now looks like a typical occidental man. He had more original features in ME1. And I liked that.

Totally agree with the chest, i also miss the small ammount of chest hair he had in me1, now whenever hes slightly sideways facing and topless he looks really.... plastic. He does have excelllent thighs now though! I agree with you about the expressions and the skin colour. Tbh i didnt notice the eye shape change at all, maybe im a bit unobservant lol. Though i did notice that he seems to have pern dirty hands... whats up with that?

But, here goes. It harkens back to the discussion a little bit ago about Kaidan's reaction to Thessia and how unsatisfying it was if you were his LI. So I wrote my own take on it.

mordin's death was very sad, he was one of my favourite characters. i love his singing.
yesterday i did the genophage mission with my renegade playthrough and she killed mordin. it was so horrible. seeing shepard shoot him in the back and him crawling to try to activate the cure, i felt so incredible horrible for doing that to mordin. i had to keep telling myself that this is the alternative playthrough, my canon cured the krogan and mordin was happy. i hate my renegade shepard with a passion now, and i have a bad feeling that she may have to shoot kaidan as he hasnt sent her a letter telling her to visit him and his hospital door is locked. she lied to him about cheating with garrus and then walked out when he said she wouldnt leave.

edit: i just remembered renegade shep is going to have to kill Wrex aswell. Too much death

yeah ive abandoned playing my renegade as, on top of the emotionally charged game and crud endings.. being a douche as well just doesnt seem right.. so im playing my paragon thru as a paragade instead.. just doing the rene interrupts.. tis about all I can handle heh

I might go back and replay ME2 rene again and opt to kill wrex and have a couple of peeps die but not romance anyone cause I just cant cheat on Kaidan.. then try rene playthru... not sure really

Rofl, I'm glad it wasn't just me, I felt really bad for him and Garrus, my boys...I take them everywhere with me, but controlling that thing was not fun, not on a keyboard at least...

I'm in a bit of a pickle tbh, I started a new playthrough from 1, done 2, now I'm just about to hit the Reaper base on Rannoch and my ems hasn't even hit 2k, it's not looking good, feels like I'll never reach 4k without MP...not a happy bunny, I don't even know whether to keep trying or not

FRAPs can do screenshots but I prefer steam XD

I know I'm like hours and hours behind today, blame a huge bloody migraine that had me in bed at 6 last night.  I use Fraps, and have been using it for over two years, I do have the paid version, so my recording isn't cut when I do record.  Otherwise, I believe you can take screen caps from the print screen key and that drops them into a folder in My Documents.

Otherwise, I have no idea, since I have forgotten most of that stuff due to Fraps lol

I did destroy 2 x. First I took Garrus and Kaidan with me. They both got off of the Normandy on that stupid planet. The 2nd time I took my least 2 favorite. EDI and Javik. Kaidan and Javik walked off the Normandy. I think your LI always walks off. Then out of the two who you take with you the person you talk to the most will show up. I talked to Javik more than EDI on my 2nd time.

I'm planning to take Javik and Garrus with me, and leave Kaidan to his Biotic squad, because I feel bad taking him away from them after he finally found them. And damn if Javik hasn't really gotten to me this playthrough. He needs this, and Garrus, well he's been there through EVERYTHING and he's earned it too. Not that Kaidan hasn't, but those biotics need him, and his leadership and skill,

Same here! No vehicle fun on this edition at all - I hated the hammerhead, the Mako was an awesome little dune hopper. I guess since the Hammerhead was in DLC, there may be a vehicle DLC... please let it be Mako!

I read that letter and stomped around the house cussing for an hour before I could sit down and go back to playing.  I was already weirdly upset about Thessia (I'm not an Asari fan), and then I got that letter... It made me spitting mad.

I played my second pt up to the final push through London. I just can't go through that meat grinder only to get that horrible ending, and I may have to back out and change my squad composition when we find out how they change things because I won't kill Kaidan or Garrus if I don't have to. I prefer running with them, but I don't want them dead. However, if that means Liara can get some love finally ... I may roll with her and Javik or Vega and Javik. I don't want James to die either, but I do like having a tank along. *sigh*

And I had the horrible realization that all through the lead up to this game, I would jokingly refer to my four Sheps as the Four FemSheps of the Apocalypse only to have BioWare's Gawdawful endings make that true. Now I'm depressed again.

As for my Shep's reaction to Thessia and Kai Leng, she was pissed.  As much as everyone was telling her that she can't win them all, in her eyes, she always thought she could...until this. It's the first time where she feels like a total failure and starts to doubt if they can actually win this war.

I'd really like to have seen Kaidan talk to her (like Garrus and Joker have done). Thank goodness for headcanon.

And Kai Leng, well, she already has this vendetta against him because of Thane but what upset her the most was that he didn't bring Shepard and her squad down. His gunship did. So when she got that letter, she was like, "Oh no you didn't!" At this point, she's ready to show him what a real fight looks like (which I'm glad she got to show off at TIM's base).

I'm about to hit London. My final team being Javik and Garrus. I made it to 5300 EMS through the iPhone datapad app mostly, and a few MP matches. But I still hate the idea of hitting destroy. EDI, the Geth...what that could mean to Joker and Tali, and the quarians just kills me. I know so many people see Synthesis as wrong, and destroy with the breath as "good". But it feels so selfish to go for destroy/breathe when another choice could spare so many people >.<

And that's me having an unpopular theory, I know.

Part of me wants to wait til April to even finish after we see what they have up their sleeves. I recall the mention of 17 ending scenarios and have to wonder if they've planned DLC missions that once completed add a new scenario at the end since all DLC will take place before the Cerberus base assault.

I also seem to have this niggling thought that what if that N7 person that takes that breath isn't Shepard, but our next hero?

BAH so many things in my head I need more coffee, and Kaidan >.<

Heh, that's my Mako. Only take out Tali and add in a Garrus sitting there stoically only he's gripping the seats of the mako so hard that he's made holes in them.

There is a walled off area in Therum, where I am guessing ends where you are *meant* to be able to take the Mako - right before the end fight before you enter the mine shaft thing.

I figured out by accident on my first playthrough that you can flip the mako on its side and wiggle it through... hehe
Needless to say I spent a lot of time on each subsequent playthrough flipping my poor squadmate filled mako  :innocent:

Well i just finished my second playthrough and i picked destroy again! Was gonna try something else but then the convo with the kid, so obvious he doesnt want you to pick destroy so i had to pick destroy, purely to spite it!
