Got a question about the datpad app (I dont have it) and Kaidan mail. Could anyone post the mails he sends? also, does he only start writing you after the Coup incident?is it diffrent for a faithful Shep / friendship / new romance ?
Here's a link to a post where I compiled all the messages I've received so far in my NG+ (since I downloaded the app).
I'm playing a faithful, imported Shep. I'd assume a few of those messages would vary if you didn't romance him, but I'm not sure. I'll keep posting them as I get them!
*gasp!* You actually get messages from Kaidan with the datapad app?! That's so cool! Unfortunately, I tried downloading it to my iPod, and it says my iPod is not compatible.
I always wondered what happened to Kaidan after he leaves the hospital. It sucks that we can't even be at his Spectre ceremony.
As for his height, yeah, by today's standards, I figured he'd be about 6'0.
It's strange that your iPod isn't compatible, I use the datapad app on mine. I have the 2nd gen iPod touch...

I have a 2nd gen iPod Touch and couldn't update the iOS to 5.0 to be able to download the app, had to go out and buy an iPad. Was wanting to anyway, just gave me an excuse.

I suppose, somewhat hypocritically, I do enjoy my Nook tablet. But I use that for reading and not much else.
/sigh/ Slow thread is slow. Nothin' much going on today. And I'm completely and utterly bored...

Yeah, it still doesn't make any sense.
@ Ainyan42 - Great fic. I stopped what I was doing to read it immediately, because if Graceyn says it's good it must be. Nicely done.
@ LadyWinde - omg, I love Destroy so much already. The last page was pretty amazing. Can't wait for more.
And the mako? I hate it. I do. But not really. Earlier this week I realized I turned into the wrong driveway and the parking lot I was in didn't actually connect to the dry cleaner I was trying to get to, and I could only make a right hand turn out of the parking lot, meaning I'd have to drive about half a mile away to turn around and come back to the dry cleaner....
So I mako-ed it in my Jetta and drove over the edge of the parking lot through a foot or so of grass and weeds, and landed safely behind the dry cleaner. My inner renegade came through. True story.

You know... that theory that the Normandy is on Earth would totally make more sense, if there weren't two moons seen in the sky
Okay, does anyone want a free cat? Anyone? I may have vowed to love all animals in the past, but I'm about ready to drop kick this one. And right when I get angry enough to actually do so, he crawls on to my lap looking like this. Mein Gott.

Kaidan said he's gonna fight like hell for the chance to hold us again! This DLC better give us that chance! Shepard said that he better show up! This is why we need this closure, I want to see Kaidan on the other side ><
I love how you put the "us" in there!
Mako: God, I love that thing. Instead of going around mountains to get to my destination, I would scale them then, once I got to the top on the other side, jump off. I imagined Kaidan and Garrus clinging to their seats, trying not to vomit while Shepard and Wrex laughed hysterically. I was thinking of finishing my second ME3 pt, but I've been craving ME1. I need to get my Shep to level 60, and I'm contemplating finally playing on Insanity (hardest I've done is Hardcore). Not only will I get my Kaidan fix, but it will be a happy ending.
iPod: I'll try updating my iPod and see if that works. Now that I know that Kaidan sends us messages, I'm anxious to get that app!
EDIT: @ Lady: A fellow Big Bang Theory fan, yay!

Wait, wut?Does that mean that the Normandy crashed on Earth? Because that might make more sense. You know, because they only just started fleeing the scene as soon as you hit the citadel instead of jumping in a time machine to peace out, like, yesterday. And then your squaddies would just be on a deserted island that you could get to on a raft. No mass relays required. Too bad the animation from the ending looked nothing like that. I'm so confused...
I have no idea how he could NOT be going through a relay with the energy rushing behind him looking like a straight line coming from a relay, but you know. Whatever, BioWare. :innocent:
Also, yeah, it couldn't have been earth as it had two moons, but I think she said they crashed on somewhere really nearby, maybe not in the Sol system itself but in one that's very close to the Sol system.
It was a while back, and on twitter, so I really don't know if they're still viewable or even if they'd been deleted.
She also said 'If you believe it, then it's true. I know what I walked away believing
after I finished ME3, and no one can tell me differently" so she could be just spreading...speculation.

I've headcanoned it that they land on Titan, one of Saturn's moons. It's one of 4 bodies in our system that have an atmosphere - along with Earth (obvs), Mars (too thin), Venus (too close to the sun). And if you could start a colony in your own system, well, why wouldn't you? Saturn also has 62 moons, and it might be that they were aligned juuuuust right so that you could see two of them and no Saturn.
Also that way there's a chance that Shep might find her way there sometime during her lifetime!
@Mako topic - I adore the Mako to bits. We haven't landed on a planet until my Shep's failed at climbing a mountain.

I would have loved it they came out with an Android version, however, now I have my iPad... would have gotten an android tablet but I already have an android phone. Well I guess I have an iPod touch too... /sigh I'm such a geek

Yeah, I have Androids all over the place for work, so I too was frustrated - especially since my 2yr old iPod is deemed to be ancient, old and out of date. Then a change of fortune (an overdue tax rebate) turned up on the same day of the iPad launch. Thank you nice tax people! I justify it because I do mobile development stuff, but it's mostly used for looking for mail from Kaidan, reading codex entries like a geek, reading fan fic, and buying the Dark Horse and Marvel collection because the screen is just so nice for reading comics...

Still seems like she's talking from headcanon, though.
I've been over this logic, unfortunately. First it can't be on earth cause they landed on a place with two moons. Also there is no planet in the local solar system that looks like that and is that developed. Thirdly, Normandy is seen fleeing after the explosion of the mass relays.
I think the scene is created around that whole adam and eve reference. But they were so focused on that that they didn't think about anything else.

Okay, so I have a question maybe you fanfic writers can give me an opinion on:
Last night, I was suddenly attacked by a plot bunny, and spontaneously wrote half of a fanfic (intending to finish it today and possibly upload it). However, I went on fanfiction.net just to browse a bit, and found a fanfic someone had written about a week ago with a chapter very similar to the idea I was working on. Not identical, but pretty similar. Now, I'm questioning whether or not I should upload mine... I hadn't seen theirs when I began writing it, but I don't want to cause any sort of plagiarism/idea stealing issues. Theirs was a chapter of a longer story, whereas mine was just going to be a oneshot. Opinions on whether or not I should finish and upload mine?
I had this thought too when I was compelled to write my first fanfic but I look at it this way. We're all writing about the same people in a game we love but from different perspectives, and that changes because of the way we play the game and the way we would like our characters to develop. There are bound to be times when one story sounds like another, feels like another but that revolves around the limitations of the characters we're using. Only our imaginations come up with the differences.
Please upload - I love reading the fanics like everyone else and yes some are similiar but I haven't found two yet that are exactly the same.
If you're interested I'm working on this at the moment - http://www.fanfictio...h_a_Little_Help and please feel free to review.
