All of these fanfics and Shenko-y goodness are really distracting me from what I should be doing at the moment  But they're too addicting to pass by.

I know that feeling, I get that whenever I upload anything to anywhere  It's the internet, after all... Clicking the "Submit" button is one of the hardest things in the world to do.

I sit for ages debating whether to actually hit the button or not with everything I post on ff.net, lol.  But it's good to see so much Shenko being written lately.

So Bioware ended up donating the protest cupcakes to a Youth Shelter. It was really nice of them, but still feels kind of like rejection. Oh well, at least some kids get to be happy.

I feeling/thinking it is rejection and they don't really care, but are just putting on smiles for PR... especially them giving ALL of them away (yeah it's great for the kids and I'm happy about that) but it's seems to be yet another calculated PR move on their end.

Anyway about Kaidan,
I actually amazed his character evolved
From his "Training from Hell" in BaAT camp, accidently killed Vyrnus,
Got rejected by Rahna, L2 migraine and have to endure 2 years of hell because of Shepard's death
With that kind of trauma, he could be a psychopath like Jack
Now how the hell people called him whiny and boring?

OH THE CUPCAKES! I want one soooooo badly. I wrote a blog about it if anyone wants to check it out. It's always been in my sig but might as well plug it lol.

They should put a nod to the cupcakes in the next Bioware game like someone gives you a cupcake instead of say a flower from Alistair. I would squee at that.

Kinda sad, with the cupcakes and all... I was looking forward to letting the team know we still care and giving them a present, of sorts. While I know their intentions were good, it just seems like... Not a slap, or a punch, but maybe a flick in the face?

How do you just reject a gift like that? It's rude. If my friend gave me a sweater as a present, I wouldn't turn around instantly and give it to the homeless guy on the street. I'd keep the sweater, as it was clearly a gift given out of thoughtfulness, and I'd give the homeless man a $20 bill.

That's just... wow... huh... I'm not real sure how I feel about this. On one hand it was a nice gesture with the charity. On the other hand... I have no idea. I'm going to have to think about this for a bit I think. Hopefully I can figure out how I feel about this.

I am usually surprised by this as well because I don't see it but find Ashley and Liara to be boring.  I saw a YouTube video with Ashley's scene at the hospital and just wanted her to SHUT UP and the way Liara reacted to Thessia made me want to tell her to stop whining.  All in how you see it, I guess!

I'm not sure exactly what they were going to do with them all - the point was made when they arrived and the cakes had to go somewhere... I mean, not everyone _can_ eat cupcakes - allergies, diabetes, diets in general... taking the perspective of the cake (won't somebody think of the cakes!), I don't see this as a particularly bad outcome - at least the cakes get a good home in small glowing children. Yeah I'm thinking the same thing.. It's not like they tossed them, they donated them to a good cause.  The more I think about it, I think they did a good thing.  I also think they got the point.  (OK maybe that's the hopeless optimist in me there but eh she's there).

I am a little peeved at BioWare right now for a different reason. They had a blog design contest in January that I submitted to and never heard anything back. They finally put up a new blog design but never announced a winner. There are some similarities between the new design and the one I submitted. I don't want to go so far as to say BW stole my design idea without giving me credit, since they aren't exact copies, but I would still like at least recognition for everyone who entered or who ultimately won. I've tried contacting both Community managers via the community email and their twitter pages but haven't gotten a response.

I suppose you could say the ending to the cupcake drive came off rather...bittersweet. It's great that the kids got some cupcakes, but the intent was to show Bioware that we still love them with a tasty gift, yet also bring across a message. Which is why this is kinda bitter.
