Shepard: Well, if you ever get that crystal ball working, let me know. I'd love to see how this war ends up.
I can just imagine how well that would go. "Well, Commander, that depends on your favorite color. Either way, you pretty much blow up the entire galaxy and then die."
So, why do we have to wear helmets and stay indoors at all times on Noveria in ME1, yet in ME3 it's fine for the scientists to stage a gunfight outside in nothing but a t-shirt and shorts? And why does Jacob's girlfriend have pink eye?

LOL. I do hope Bioware will have the indoctrination theory in mind when they rewrite their ending.
Added a new chapter to Eulogy: http://www.fanfictio...gy_A_Love_Story
I made Kaidan and Shep play around a bit and dabble with a small fantasy, which is actually real in a lot of ways.
I hope the writers will give a DLC date soon.

The research enclaves were built into glaciers so they could irradiate the labs if something went wrong. We were also there in the midst of a giant blizzard.
Although I believe the mean temperature was quite frigid, I'm sure it's not that cold everywhere on the planet.

I expect they'll say something concrete next weekend at PAX. Maybe concrete isn't the best word, but they should give us at least an idea of what's up and a brief timeframe.
Or they could be awesome and give us the full scoop!
Ooh, a new fanfic to read! I somehow missed this one, heading off to read it now~

Um, because the mission where we bump into Jacob isn't on Noveria, that's why. It's a planet called Gellix and it's totally on the other side of the galaxy. The Noveria mission in ME3 is one of the N7 ones - Fighter Base or something like that.
Speaking of Gellix, I just played that mission last night with my Shep who cheated on Kaidan with Jacob. She made poor Kaidan go on the squad, too. What a travesty that was. The only good part of the whole thing is when Kaidan wants to talk to you after the mission and says, "Well, at least I didn't get thrown over for some volus accountant. That you have some taste makes it sting a little less."
Edited to add, that Shep had planned on sticking with Jacob, but
f*** that! Kaidan's going to get all the FemSheps now, even this one. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/blushing.png[/smilie] (All the others were loyal anyway...)

I actually liked Sebastian. My Hawke "married" him. You get cute banter in the DLC for it too. He may be all pro-chantry but at least he wasn't crazy. I liked Anders in Awakening. Didn't stop me from killing him (Twice)...my warden was already Queen of Fereldenmerylisk wrote...

I agree. That is why my Femshep can never cheat. I never considered watching the YouTube video's though. The human characters hit home, in real life I would never go after somebody I am not attracted to and I am not attracted to Aliens lol Kaidan was there in the beggining, and was well integrated.
It's like in Dragon Age going after anybody but Alistair. I can not do it no matter how I try. Or going for NOBODY in DA2 because they are just as ugly as the aliens. (Except Sebastian...but most people do not count him.)
I had no trouble going after Zevran with an elf in DA:O ... well, I did have a little trouble because Alistair is just to appealing, but I was glad I did it in the end. Zevran can be appealing, too.
And in DA2, after getting getting burned by Anders the first time through and having to knife him, I went for Fenris after that. Whatever I thought about how they made elves look (enormous retcon there BioWare), it was easy to overlook after listening to that voice. And the way there was that hint of, erm, spice in the relationship, sort of like we got in the locker scene with Kaidan, the way he forcefully pulls you up against him ... oooo, yeah. After romancing Fenris once, I couldn't imagine going back to Anders.
That's why my headcanon thinks that Kaidan my seem like a very restrained fellow, but when you get him to let go ... LOOKOUT!
Although I modded Anders to make him prettier my first time around, hahaha.
But yeah, Fenris is the best. I totally wrote him off at first because he looked like a dumb bishi elf, but once he opened his mouth I was utterly sold.
I just liked Kaidan's character. It seemed to me like him and femshep were meant to be. I never EVER romanced anybody in ME2--no desire.

Well... At least they're both snowy. Back when I played ME1 for the first time, I would always confuse Noveria and Virmire.
And I almost just called Virmire Thessia.
Okay, my brain can't run on 2 hours of sleep. It's official. I think I'm going to stop typing now.
To prove my point, I just spent the last 10 minutes freaking out. I'm still trying to figure out why the heck my laptop is using 5gb RAM while I'm not doing anything. So I saw this thingy called explorer.exe that was using quite a bit of memory, and decided to end the process. I'm a genius.
I might as well go delete that C Drive thingy, too, I hear that takes up a lot of memory.

And yes, dear gawds YES that "Don't Kaidan me" line is pure unf. That line, and the "Do you feel that, the quickening?" ... *fans self* Seriously, bloodlust shouldn't sound so damn sexy.
One more opinion on Kaidan's Ardat-Yakshi quote: I think Kaidan may have an Asari fetish. The reaction (reaction silly Freudian typos) in Chora's Den, the discussion with dudeShep about Liara, the Noveria extranet line. It's rather amusing and adds more humanity to his character. Some guys like redheads, some like plaid skirts, Kaidan likes blue aliens.

Actually, the blue alien fetish does make sense. In my MaleShep playthrough, I got a different dialogue with Kaidan after the Therum mission.
It was that dialogue tree where Shepard asks: "Any intentions there Lieutenant?"
To FemShep, he replies: I prefer adventurous women. To a MaleShep, it's different. The dialogue after that goes like this:
MaleShep: I saw her first.
Kaidan: Only for a few seconds.
Sigh. We need a video of it.

Of course not because someone at BioWare obviously has a blue alien fetish; therefore, everyone in the ME universe, including all our Sheps are belong to asari.

And as for Kaidan and his asari fetish sites, Joker is obviously a bad influence on him and I'm glad he didn't hang around on the bridge for too long to be completely corrupted. If anyone is going to corrupt Kaidan it's going to be my Shepard, lol
as for ff.net, yeah I just got a hell of a lot of emails so I guess the glitch is fixed.

Yay, ff.net spam. XD
I can tell you my Shep not only doesn't find asari attractive, she's not really fond of them as a species, and only makes an exception for Liara as a little-sister type.
But that's projection. BW has a serious hard-on for Asari - no pun intended. They're a neat race, but personally I prefer Turians.

I agree that the Ardat Yakshi comment was a bit out of character. Wouldn't have bothered me to hear from any other LI, but it didn't seem like Kaidan.
I also wish Kaidan had shown a bit more concern for Shep in the game. Just small pieces of dialogue where he asks how she is and what she thinks about things, or just having him react when Shepard falls down (which she does quite a lot in ME3) and help her would make all the difference.
I love the "Don't Kaidan me, this is business." I really like that the conflict from Horizon was still there.
I totally agree. I thought he was going to ask Shep how she was holding up a little more. He seemed like a really caring and somewhat vulnerable character in ME1, you know, underneath the biotic beefcake exterior. He was passionate in his convictions on Horizon in ME2, and emotionally conflicted. So they get back together in ME3, and I would check on him between missions hoping for a cut scene like the ones you get with Liara, and sometimes I would get "Can't talk right now, Shepard."
Really?! It's not like she was just out saving the galaxy or anything. I wanted Shep to bust out with "It's not always about you!". But then I just wrote it off to Kaidan being emotionally disturbed, and realized I was projecting because I am pretty sure I dated a Kaidan or two in college!

The hamfisted wedging in of Asari fanservice is qutie annoying. The concept of Asari - monogendered species - is interesting and could be fascinating to explore. But what do we get? Oversexualized hot alien feminine chicks in tight dresses, or wearing stripper outfits. But this is neither here nor there.
