April Fool's day... I'm wondering, has BioWare prepared any fake news for that day? I remember they mentioned there wouldn't be any announcements regarding ME3, correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't mean they won't say anything... or does it? 

I think they'd be fools to try anything. The mood of this community is not good. Most people already think that BioWare has massively trolled us anyhow with these endings. If they try to do something on top of that, it would be taken completely wrong I think.

I would agree with this but you have to remember that  they donated the cupcakes that were delivered to them as part of the "Retake Mass Effect" movement. While I don't think they would do anything for April Fool's, the fact that they give us non-descriptive comments like 'we are listening' and still defend their ending sort of strkes me as a bit on the condescending side. I'm actually surprised we haven't received a 'kthanxbye' yet!

But since this thread is all about Kaidan, here's my contribution to keep it on track.

Anybody have the feeling they won't announce any ME3-related news at PAX. I'm thinking they're probably going to announce a DA-related project or more ME anime/movie.

I'm up in the air about whether or not they'll discuss the endings - Surely, there'll be ME3 discussion, probably the reveal of Take Back Omega DLC or MP Maps ahd Characters, discuss their success, etc. 
I'm expecting hints towards DA3, but probably no official announcement/trailer until E3.

While it's safer for them to avoid discussion of ME3's endings at all costs, I hope they realize that in doing so, they're losing a lot of their fanbase. I can only hold out hope for so long... Good thing my headcanon is practically cemented into my brain at this point.

I'd love to see a good April Fools joke from BW  Too bad Chris left that "No April Fools Announcements are coming" post on the ME3 Official Announcements section.

Hello Kaidan lovers! I'm very happy to see all of this love for Major Alenko  even if I didn't romance him, my Shepard still loves him like a brother. I didn't really know where else to ask questions about him (and still stay on topic), so I came here. What does he do in Starboard Observation all the time? Tend to agree with you on that.  Besides doing paperwork, he probably kicks back, sips a glass of whiskey, and relaxes.  The emptiness of space seems pretty soothing, and Kaidan tends to like the quieter areas ("I like that fountain" type comments).  Yes, he probably reads those books, maybe even brought a few on board.  He probably has dog-eared copies of "Beat To Quarters" and "Mr. Midshipman Hornblower" stashed somewhere, and he left his complete Aubrey/Maturin collection back on Earth - hence the comment about being pissed if the Reapers messed with his stuff.  :happy:

Re: sims, I had a bunch of lookalikes in Sims2 - best household was Buffy, Angel and Spike. May have to try a Kaidan but I have never got into sims 3 like I did with 2.

Ooh, first time I have tried typing a note on my iPad, I neglected to capitalize the k in Kaidan, it changed it to kaidEn! Does this mean the alternate spelling is all the fault of Apple autocorrect?

They are so going to do something with Dragon Age soon. I've "liked" the DA facebook page, and the amount of teasing they're doing is ridiculous. Asking what people would want in the future of the series, what characters they would want to see again... Bioware is up to something. Something Sneaky.

I try to be as optimistic as the next guy but I concur that would take a major miracle to pull off!

So I'm not the only one who makes Sims characters based off of video game characters?!  I haven't played in months, but every time I play Sims 3 I replace the entire town with my custom-made fictional characters. It makes things a whole lot more entertaining when you can walk to the park and see Joker and Albert Wesker from Resident Evil getting in to an argument. I love how each character continues on with their own lives even if you're not playing them - I remember one time that my Warden and Alistair Sims got married and had four kids, and my Shep and Kaidan Sims kept adopting random animals. I saw my Shep riding a unicorn dow the street, it was definitely a  moment.
That game is only really enjoyable in crazy groups or at midnight anymore for me...

I can answer that,nope you only hear about her mom eventually.But I don't think anything was ever said about her dad.

Not that I've found, I know I miss a lot of dialogue for some reason, but I have yet to hear mention of her father in any of the games.

I could have sworn that either Anderson or Hackett said something about the dad being MIA although I could have gotten that confused with Kaidan. I spent wayyy too much time bugging him in the observation room, was just so glad to have him back!!

I definitely want Cullen as a romance option.

If he shows up in the game and is not a companion or LI then I'm going to throw my controller at the tv once again. I really don't want to do that since I've been throwing my controller a lot with ME3 endings and Thane dying and then DA2 expansion pack cancelled.  

Only Kaidan was able to make me feel better.

Yes, yes, Cullen has to be a LI.  After what they butchered with Anders though... I'm afraid of what they could/would do with Cullen.

Haha, this is my headcanon, too! I imagine Shepard foisted a lot of admin stuff off on Pressly and Kaidan in ME1, because it was boring; now it's just a natural division of responsibilities. I like to think they do it collaboratively, just to spend time together.

I bet Kaidan does spend a lot of time reading, though. He and Kasumi should start a book club.

@LadyofRivendell: Probably was just Kaidan's dad. I did some searching and yeah, only Shep's mum is mentioned. Seems kinda strange unless maybe he died?
