I know how you feel. You're not alone. There's alot of us Thane lovers protesting his treatment in a thread and also a petition that you can find in my sig. I would have loved a cure for him but the worst part of all is that his romance is treated practically as a non-romanced Shepard. 

Kaidan was definitely the only thing that kept me playing the game. He's just so dreamy . But I want my Thane too!

Don't get me wrong when I say this because I think Thane is an awesome character, but I think he was completely wasted on this series. Thane was too good to be wasted the way they did. In ME2, we never used him as what he was - pretty much the best assassin in the galaxy. So, why did we recruit him again? They pretty much reduced to just another warm body. He doesn't even fill on of the special roles not being a leader or a techy or a biotic. Then, they made him terminally ill so that it was pretty much assured that he would be of limited use in ME3.

I honestly wish that BioWare had saved Thane for another game or used him in such a way that he got full justice done to him. He should have been Kai Leng's foil for a good chunk of ME3. Imagine him facing down Kai Leng in several showdowns where he is closer to the top of his game. Maybe only failing on Thessia because Kai Leng calls in that gunship? IMO that would have been a much better use of Thane than what they did with him even though I do like the last scene in the hospital.

And yeah, Thanemancers got the shaft though not as bad as the Jacobmancers.

Thanemancers AND Jacobmancers were equally shafted IMO. I had characters for both, and I was offended by the romance treatment, or utter lack thereof. All of maleShep romances were able to be rekindled, so the preferential treatment just makes my blood boil. <_< FemShep should have at least had Vega, if they weren't going to bother to do justice to her former romances. I'm just shocked by the inequal treatment, when they go out of their way to be inclusive of everyone in the Dragon Age games. Do they hate female Mass Effect players?

That seems to have worked before although BioWare seems to be going on a new and less fan-friendly track recently. 

If the squeeky wheel gets the grease, I suppose our only recourse is to make a great deal of noise. I just tweeted @masseffect.

My canon Shep stayed faithul to Kaidan, but it was soo hard not to romance Thane! My new b*tch-shep romanced Liara and Thane, and I'm almost ready to import her into ME3. I kind of want to dump Liara when Thane dies and romance Kaidan again

Yeah, that's why the only femShep I have who would ever romance Thane is my "tragedy" Shep. She romanced Kaidan and picked Ash (I wanted to prove to hubby that I could), so I figured that if she romanced anyone in ME2, it ought to be Thane to keep her sterling streak of luck alive.

Of course, knowing how ME3 ends ... I think my tragedy Shep playthrough would just be way too depressing to contemplate. I think I'd just have to let her sit there dithering over which non-option to pick until the game gives her a critical mission failure and let that be her ending. REAPERS WIN. Speculation for everyone.

You romanced Kaidan but picked Ash to save on Virmire?? How could you?? lol. I have a question for you, though: does Ash mention you and Kaidan being close at all once back aboard the Normandy? How that might've been a super hard choice because he was your LI? Just curious, since I've never *not* picked Kaidan to live in my FemShep playthroughs, for obvious reasons.

Did anyone ever figure out what the design on Kaidan's armor is?

I'm going through my NG+ game right now (just finishing Palaven) and just noticed that Vega's joust thingy looks really clear. Made me wonder about Kaidan's.
