You're braver than I am. I only finished once. I have another play through at the London FOB, and I'm working on play through #3. I have one unique Shep left after this one, and I'll likely play my canon through for a try at an Insanity run.

On my only finish it was Kaidan and Garrus who came out behind joker, but that wasn't surprising. They came everywhere with me and Kaidan was my LI.

Once you convince yourself that the ending of ME3 is not the true ending it does get easier to play, trust me.  Actually I have one more playthrough to attempt and that would be one with my M!Sheploo and Cortez. I won't lie - it's gonna be difficult to have Kaidan only as a 'bromantic' interest for that one!  Posted Image

No, I don't think it's the true ending. It doesn't make any sense, but if I see it with my Sheps in it ... well, it gets burned into my skull. Poor Kelly is stuck in crap ending hell with Kaidan in some kind of impossible ending wierdness. That's why I'll replay her on Insanity.

If I leave things at the London FOB, I get two things:

1. A good place to leave off in the vain hope they actually do something about the mess they made

2. A good place to pick up with my own head canon if they don't

I tried making a head canon from the end as they left it, and I just can't make it work to my satisfaction. Posted Image

If the DA2 Anders bug and the last Auto-Save in ME3 is an indication, have a save before the Cerberus Base just in case. I think the London save is basically set in stone, and future variables won't affect it.

I'm basically playing now because of the different classes... the gameplay is finally really fun to play.

The only way I can headcannon the ending is if only the game ends after your talk with Anderson, everything after the starchild is just...

I think I read a few pages back that it was a new writer, and she was lady, which explains his awesome character development. Kaidan...mmm...

All the games have a save that resumes before you attack the Cerberus base.

For my canon, it's save #81, I replay it whenever I want to see that last night smexy scene. Of course, I question the true need for an autosave just before the dream sequence on the Citadel. I guess that on Insanity you can die to the Husks and Marauder Shields, but why would anyone want to keep reloading and replaying that again?!

I am so happy for that save for that exact reason -- I can go watch the Kaidan/Shep romance scene whenever I feel like it.

It's awesome because that scene is incredibly well done. :P

Totally forgot about that, of course I'm pretty sure everybody here are guilty of keeping it

I overwrote my ME pre-Ilos save by accident -_-

As for the blurry sequence, apparently there's a thread on how people are getting totally owned by Marauder's Shield and was unable to complete the game because of that... That and because that particular Marauder is now considered to be a cult hero by BSN.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but on my first playthrough I had to lower the difficulty level to get through Marauder Shields.

I kept dying. Again and again. Ugh.

I personally believe Marauder shields was sent there to protect us from the ending. And honestly, dying at his hands seems the more humane thing. At least my shep is still on earth.

Marauder Shields on Insanity was the single most annoying fight I've ever had in a Mass Effect game, even worse than Horizon and the Reaper fight on Rannoch.  And they throw 5 brutes, 1 harvester, 3 banshees and miscellaneous other enemies at you right before that but that was easy in comparison.  At least with those I could strategize and learn from my mistakes.  But no, I have to freaking shoot Marauder Shields 8 times before he hits me twice while my scope is wobbling and each time I die have to sit through that awful slow-motion walking again.  I almost cried when I finally beat him.  And then I was even more frustrated that I was putting so much effort to watch an ending that I hated.  He really, really doesn't want you to get to the ending. :bandit:

Direct quote from the game, still no clue.  I'll throw up the video clip one of these days after I finish clearing out my over abundance of Screenshots.

Thank you Lady, That's Kayla, Sentinal, Colonist/War Hero.  I bounce between her and Keira on a constant basis, since I can never make up my mind which one I prefer.  She's more heavily Paragade than Keira.  Though 'Mina is coming along from Mass Effect, and threatening to take over the top spot, if I can ever finish the runs.

I don't think I'll ever be able to make a different Shep. Even if I did, I'd just end up playing the exact same way I typically do.

I did start a MaleShep in ME1 once, but didn't get past Eden Prime. I also rolled a MaleShep on the PS3 version of ME2 (with the comic) but only made it to Freedom's...Hope? Progress? What's that place called?

Excellent work! :D

I just watched my best friend play through Thessia. He has Ash instead of Kaidan, and I discovered even /Ash/ gives FemShep more support than Kaidan did. It made me a bit QQ. (He laughed at me while I whinged about it. XD)

I've played through 6 times and always pick the destroy ending. I've had Kaidan and James appear with Joker at the end every time, even though they were my squad in London, lol. I pretty much use those 2 exclusively once I get Kaidan back, and when I'm not forced to use Liara, Tali, or EDI, then James sits out.

I should be writing fics though, I've got a few hobby chapters to do for Downtime with Shepard, plus I have an ending r/s to finish (although I'm not sure I can make it more r/s than it already is) and another ME3 r/s fic that I've started writing down some dialogue for. I wish my muse would concentrate on one fic at a time, lol

As for Kaidan's writer, I thought she did a reasonable job but there were a couple of occasions when I felt he was a bit ooc.

...What does r/s stand for? All I could come up with is Renegade Shep, but I have no clue.

The only place I personally thought Kaidan was glaringly OOC was his comment on killing Leng.
