Major Kaidan Alenko in ME3: We're going to need a bigger boot.

I hear Iron and Wine "Walking far from Home" ( and lyrics here: http://www.azlyrics....arfromhome.html).
I think of it as Shepard's vision as she lies in the rubble waiting for Kaidan to come find her.
That song has been in heavy rotation in my iTunes of late.

Hey guys. I've been lurking here for a long time, but I got something in the mail today worthy of unlurking myself to post. Raphael Sbarge had a contest a couple weeks ago to give away some signed Kaidan photos with a personalized message, and I was lucky enough to win one! For the message, instead of telling him what to write, I just asked him to write something in his own words that he wanted to say. Just figured I'd share this with you guys:D
(Framed, and with the envelope it came in behind it.)
(Also, since it's kinda hard to read, it says "To Lauren, You are my favorite Commander, fo' sho'!" and signed by him.)
OMG! That is amazing. Congrats

Okay, Once in a Lifetime is now the official song of the ME3 endings. at about :50, if you don't know the song.
And I was picturing the Keith Urban song of the same title in my head

I see Kaidan as a dog person instead of cat. But maybe that's just my own bias. *cough*someoneshouldphotoshopKaidanwithapuppy*cough* If he got a dog after ME1, I bet it would be named Shepard. Otherwise, good candidates are Ash or maybe Nexus or Omni or something techy.
Tempting... Very tempting. Resulting photo would be beyond adorable.

we spoke to a Dev the other night.. there's defo going to be some sort of announcement soon... after all Dr Ray did say they'd announce something this month... I imagine they are going to be inundated with end game questions... will be interesting to see how it all plays out.. I look forward to hearing about it from those of you who attend
I don't mean to sound cold. but this whole ending debate has been intresting to watch unfold. I am trying not to get my hopes up to high.. but i hope this will be resolved soon...
edit top: confused Kaidan....
"And you may ask yourself, well... how did I get here?!" LOL, ****ing brilliant!

OK I'm avoiding London like the plague right now. Wish me luck and hopefully I won't give myself a migraine this time. Here goes the finish of the 2nd play through with Keira.
I've stalled at Thessia. From there on out, the game is one pile of grimdarkfail. Except Sanctuary, seeing Miranda's father get what was coming to him was very satisfying indeed.
Does Kaidan have any particularly interesting dialogue on Thessia or Sanctuary? That might get me to keep playing.

If you take him with you and EDI to Cerberus he can see the footage of Project Lazarus. He has some good reaction comments. It's nice that he gets to understand what Shepard went through before they ran into each other on Horizon.Sable Rhapsody wrote...

That's kind of sad.
They really dropped the ball for some good VS interaction on Horizon.

Yep, have that one fave'd on Pandora and it comes up pretty regularly lately.
*edit and I'm still avoiding London like the plague... /sigh <_<
**edit and on that note I think I'm going to put off London until tomorrow, starting to feel the muscles in my neck bunch up which is a sure sign of an oncoming migraine /sigh

I know, right? I thought at least there would be a shuttle comment, like when you go back to Eden Prime. There's some history there, I couldn't believe they didn't acknowledge it.LadyofRivendell wrote...

Perfect. I thought this too. Found a vid on youtube that just set the Mass Effect 3 ending to it. Works great. Sorry, I don't know how to link it. If any game ever worked for this song, it's Mass Effect 3's ending.
For a Kaidan/FemShep I've always thought Adam Lambert's What do You Want From Me works for my headcanon.

You mean, this?
Haha. I was the one who asked the person to make this (he had made a video with just Shepard on the background, so I asked for credits and he made this)
I've always thought about song too! Especially when FemShep meets Kaidan on Horizon...

It was the picture that brought it to mind, not the actual ending.merylisk wrote...
If we're going with Talking Heads songs that describe the Mass Effect endings, Nothing But Flowers actually fits way better.

"Are you flirting with me, Kaidan?"
"Well, if you have to ask, then clearly I'm out of practice."
<3
Did anyone else find the animations a bit wonky in that scene? Or is my Xbox just giving me crap at the moment?

I've been putting off finishing another playthrough, and rage-quit when the a turrent killed me, so I haven't seen the scene after on my xbox for a while...

Guys check this out!
I now imagine this rolls after the crucible, instead of the message to buy dlc.
Edit: link issues fixed
I took the Destroy ending--which to me is not the most satisfactory, but I felt it was better than forcibly turning everyone into Cylons or telling the Reapers to GTFO (with no guarantee that they wouldn't try their shenanigans again millenia hence).
The Joker slide made me cry like a baby.
edit: Ah frell, ToP and I don't have a Kaidan to post. Dammit!
