I remember somewhere on this 1600+ page thread, someone mention it's possible to bring Kaidan to one of Tuchanka's missions (specifically the one about the Turian bomb),
I know the timing is pretty tight, and there's a specific order to go about it, but can anyone enlighten me?

You can do it in this order: Turian Platoon -> Priority: Tuchanka -> Citadel Coup -> Bomb. Bomb mission is the one you can bring Kaidan on.

However, in this order you won't complete Benning: Evidence mission since to complete it you need to complete one of N7 missions which doesn't get unlocked until you complete Turian Platoon mission. But honestly, why not? That Benning mission is so small you may skip it in one playthrough ;)

Yeah, you can bring him along. When I did it, I just made sure that I had every other Tuchanka quest complete (curing the genophage, getting Eve), leaving just the bomb quest. I then went to the Citadel, circumvented the coup, watched Kaidan's fine behind mosey on to the Normandy, headed back to Tuchanka, and did the bomb quest.

Does doing the quests in that order have any negative effects on the Krogan story?

No. As long as you do these missions you will be perfectly fine and get all the Krogan support. The only penalty is losing the "Benning: Evidence" fetch quest.

Thanks! I really wanted to get Kaidan as soon as possible but I was always afraid Eve would blow up or something if I waited on that one...

Does Kaidan have anything to say on the bomb mission? Random banter?

It will be interesting to see, since BW has stated clearly that they won't even bother discussing the ending at the panel--of course, after yesterday's patronizing announcement, they pretty much guaranteed that that's all that'll be discussed.

Just wish it was being streamed. :/

They did say they weren't discussing the DLC, either, so...

Although, I'm curious about how they're planning the panel. All the past panels I've been to at Comic Con, when it comes time for Q&A, they have all the people with questions stand in a line and wait their turn. That made it pretty obvious there weren't any pre-screened questions or audience plants, like a lot of people are claiming Bioware will do. How do you think they're going to manage the Q&A? The ending DLC is bound to come up if they do so, one way or another.

@Graceyn (did I spell that right?): Thanks for the descriptions!

Yes! At some point shep will step on a landmine and kaiden will then yell "shephard!" and shep will respond "I am okay"
this is not phone friendly...

Okay, new chapter is up!  If It Meant Living-50: Hope and Despair / Alt. DA link

There is so much Kaidan in this chapter, you'll trip over Kaidan getting to Kaidan.

...now I didn't say it was a happy Kaidan - but if you read the previous chapter you could probably see that coming.  I've been working on this chapter on and off for several weeks now, and I have to admit I'm really, really pleased with it.  It is already taking up residence alongside a few others (Interlude, Thane, Loose Ends, Suicide) as near and dear to my heart.

Okay, that's more than enough self-aggrandizement.  Yikes.  Chapter art!:

My goodness, the Story and General boards on here are filled to the brink with hatred. NOW I'm starting to see why the fanbase has been called whiny, demanding, and self entitled. I'm personally very thankful and thrilled that Bioware is releasing ending DLC at all, let alone playable and voiced for FREE, "happy" endings included. They were, in no way, required to do this, and even so they could have easily charged for it. But they're doing it for free, costing THEM money, to please the fans.
Show some gratitude, people!

I agree with you. I'm upset that they released a game with plotholes and a crappy ending, but I'm also very grateful and happy they decided to do something about it. I'm cautiously optimistic that it will be everything I hope for, but I also know that it could be much worse than we already have, so I guess you could say I'm resigned, and waiting for this summer to pass further judgment

Where is it said that we are getting happy endings? The only person who has said that is Jessica Merizan and she was also the same person that said we could rescue our crew we just had to "go get them." And it's hard to believe people who completely lied to our faces before the game came out.

I think I'm most mad at the fact that no one will be answering questions about it at PAX. They refuse to give us any context or explanation beyond vague phrases like "clarity and closure." They are not changing the endings or adding new ones and they refuse to explain their "artistic vision." They care for artistic integrity but not basic integrity as they won't apologize for all their lies they made before the game was released.

People are mad because Bioware is not listening. Two or three weeks ago, we got a statement about getting clarity and closure. They asked for feedback. We explained that we needed more than clarity and closure as the current endings were broken. They needed a complete rewrite or additional endings needed to be added. We provided articles, arguments, and videos explaining the problems.

Two or three weeks later, they tell us we are getting a DLC with clarity and closure with no additional endings. See how that pisses people off? Then they release a statement that says they will not be talking about it at the panel at PAX. See how that pisses people off even more? They refuse to even defend their work or give reasons behind their actions. They refuse to apologize for the lies or admit that they were wrong. They refuse to listen to our issues and instead decide to do the bare minimum to try to pacify us.

If this ending is such a grand piece of art, why can't they defend it? Why can't they answer our questions? Cause they can't, but they are too stubborn and prideful to admit it.

I guess its not possible to get a Shep that looks like this on Xbox, eh?  :(

@SWTOR I let my sub lapse less than 2 wks after ME3 came out and hadn't really bothered to play it for 2 wks before it came out.  It just felt too much like WoW all over again.  Get to max level, grind rep and flash points and then raid.  I was so burned out on raiding after doing WoW for 5 1/2 yrs.

As for the ending dlc....I am taking the wait and see approach at this point.   I got their stupid endings, I don't need their stinking clarification, the endings are just bad and so disconnected from the rest of the ME universe.  I don't think the dlc will fix it, but it might make it some what easier to swallow.

I asked a few pages ago, but as usual, no one noticed me  :P  Is there really a romantic scene with Kaidan in front of the window with all the stars on the Normandy?  Because I never had one  :?

Others have said this, but I'll reiterate it.  We're angry because as it currently appears, this is exactly what we told Bioware we DID NOT WANT.  So yeah we're angy, disappointed, sad, depressed, you name it and someone here is feeling it.  They are giving us what they think of as 'clarity and closure'.  I have not see anything anywhere other than a few vague tweets, you know the same things we got before the release and later after we finished the game.  I won't throw in the towel yet, I'll wait and see what they are offering with their 'clarity and closure' when it comes out.  If it really is just 'clarity and closure' then I will be done completely, no turning back.  If the vague tweets are right I'll be happy then watch closely before making anymore decisions about buying anything from Bioware again.

Actually, I THINK there is?  It's my understanding that it is possible to use Gibbed Save Editor with Xbox via a USB stick and some shenannigans.  I know absolutely nothing about it, so I'm just going to point you to the Gibbed thread on BSN:  social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/325/index/9776690/1.  It has lots of links and helpful modders.

Yeah, the majority of the problem with the ending was the lack of choices, which is exactly what we were promised.  We were explicitly told we wouldn't get A,B or C, and yet that's what we got.  That's why RetakeMassEffect sent the cupcakes.  Part of our complaints were that our choices didn't matter.  That isn't being fixed either.

So they're really only solving 1/3 of our complaints.  THAT'S why we're still mad.

Producer in games is essentially the equivalent of a director in movies. Casey approves most artistic decisions and lead the vision of the entire project, but also manages the team, keeps it on schedule, helps when problems arise etc. Ray Muzyka really doesn't have much to do with actual developement of ME games. He and Greg manage the entire studio (now division of EA) and yes, they will make major decisions like project approvals etc. but they don't really influence story details.

It's interesting then that Muzyka stepped in when this whole thing blew up - it indicates that they were concerned the backlash was going to hit the financial bottom line (though it might be that Casey was on holiday).  It will be interesting to see whether the dlc does as well as they hope and whether the stock price will be affected.
