I actually liked Garrus in ME1 but he just annoyed the hell out of me in ME2. Liara and Tali always annoyed the hell out of me, lol. I did actually manage a few ME2 playthroughs where Garrus and Tali didn't survive the SM, but I can't get rid of the damn asari, lol.

I guess I'm ticked off because to me the game makes out that Shepard is closer to those 3 than to her LI, Kaidan. There was just way too much autodialogue and missed conversation opportunities with Kaidan. We had to go an entire game without him, then we get him back only to lose him for a large portion of the game.

Like I said - We're annoyed because our Sheps are taken away from us. You notice it more because we lost control. In other games, we could pretty much ignore Garrus and Liara if we wanted to. I know in ME1, after noticing how really creepy she was, I left her buried in the little room behind the med bay and never, ever went in there. In this one, you pretty had to deal with Liara whether you wanted to or not. I'm glad she's not as creepy as she used to be (dialed the stalker factor down a notch or two), but that doesn't mean I want her going with me on so many missions and it doesn't mean I want to have her inviting herself into my cabin all the time, either. Kaidan ought to be doing that.

Garrus doesn't need anymore missions, timescreen or attention in this franchise. He's been pampered like no one else, had 2 personal missions and was in the squad in all 3 games and from the very early points in all 3 games at that

Agreed! I would also add Liara to the list, I am tired of her already.:pinched:

Blue babies, blue babies...she got a whole dlc dedicated to herself!
And add Tali, because she got tons of screen moment too.

What the heck, Bioware? Only the VS did not get a lot attention (Ashley/Kaidan) compared to anyone else. This is not fair!! :pinched:

As an unabashed Garrusmancer, I agree.  Give the other LIs some screen time!

agreed - I adore Garrus, but he's had plenty of screen time - more Kaidan required... also still awaiting news on the figures they were planning on bringing out - there's not a lot of space left on my desk, but I could make way for FemShep and Kaidan desk ornaments...

I dunno... I think I'd prefer Thane's romance to be improved before any of Team Dextro or the ME1s got more time.  I've written off Jacob entirely, though.  Grew to like him in ME2, but they just botched him beyond belief in 3.

Oh I hope Play Arts Kai will release figures of FemShep and Kaidan! It would be so awesome to have them both on my desk! Besides I would pick Play Arts FemShep over the Kotobukiya FemShep any day!

Ditto on that!

Garrus/Liara/Tali don't irritate me in the least.  I like them all.  Garrus more than the other two.  But I def prefer my Kaidan  .

Man, this so much. I loved Garrus. He was definetly a good friend but he stole several moments I think the LI should have had like checking up on you at various times. I think the LI should have had priority over picking Shep up too. I remember somewhere in the Rannoch arc Shep falls and Tali yells and helps you up. Kaidan just stood there and didn't do anything. I know it's easier to just use Tali because she has to be there, but it would have been really nice for LI to step in in those situations if they're on the squad. And truthfully, who the heck leaves their LI if they don't have to?

I dont midn the amount of screen time liara and garrus had, i just wisht theyd evened it out a little, a couple more kaidan/james/ash/me2 crew scenes and i wouldnt have even noticed how much screen time liara and garrus got. I do mind that even renegade convo options with crew/squaddies in me3 came out as friendly regardless, i want a chance to be a total git occasionally!

When it comes to crew conversation, the paragon answers turn out to be friendly ('couldn't do it without you') and the renegade answers turn out to be 'professional' ('all of you guys did good work'). There'S no way to express to a character any annoyance or hard feelings, so the best is jsut to avoid talking to characters you dont like if you dont want to go out of character.

I adore Garus, but I mostly find Tail as a naive little sister to my Shepard. Mostly, I agree that they did get to much screen time in ME3 looking back at it than most of the others squad members>.<. Hell, Laira even got more screen time and awkward moments in the game than the humans did. I don't like the fact that they force Laira to find your body in ME2 let alone the awkwardness of the conversion if you didn't even romance her in fthe irst place in ME1. Thought can't you leave her behind in ME1 in the ruines untill she goes compeltly crazy from no contact to the outside world? After that why in the hell would she even bother finding you in the first place? :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Garusmancer and Kaidanmancer, here but I agree that everyone deserves screen time not just the aliens of the crew. In other words, I play for the Humans and Alieans dammit.

I noticed this a lot in game, Grunt mission -  James helped me carry him, Thessia - Liara pulled me up. There were several opportunities for Kaidan to help you but he seemed to just stand there and watch while whichever other team mate was with you came to your aid.  Thought it a bit strange.

Busy weekend for everybody? So apparently Jessica Merizan posted the possibility of Shep reuniting with crew. Is it still there or has the idea been thrown out of the airlock? Geez I hope not.. There's too much space magic involved already... and nobody wants speculations!

Hope this extended cut will not make things worse... Is there any word whether the differrent options will mean more than just RGB change? I hope they explain what happen to the galaxy when you choose control, destroy or synthesis.

Just saw a few pages back that you can take Kaidan to the Tuchanka bomb mission. I thought it expires after curing the genophage or is it under 3 missions timer? So rescue Victus>cure genophage>citadel coup? Seems like a whole lot of Virmire reference dialogue? I've never had Kaidan for fear I can't made it in time.

And oh Happy Easter Kaidanites :wizard:

EDIT: I hate hate hate typing on the iPhone, there's no option to edit post too... -_-

She did mention that it was possible, but she also mentioned sacrifices, too. That makes me nervous since I saw that there was a scene they cut where your squad does get vaporized by Harby's beam. I saw it on YouTube. If they choose to put that back in, we should all be prepared with playthroughs where we leave Kaidan behand in favor of our least favorite squaddies. On the downside, it means fighting my way through that last mightmare bit in London with super-squishy Liara and someone else ... not sure who, maybe Javik..

I tried that, but apparently if you don't do the bomb mission before the Citadel coup, then the bomb goes off and kills Eve. So you have to do all three Tuchanka missions before going to get Kaidan.

Its a 3 mission timer, ive done it several times now, i always go save turian squad/cure geno/citadel coup then straight onto disarm the bomb mission. Kaidan likes shouting at the beginning of that mission!

We have to sacrifice EDI in the destroy ending (a character that I've grown to like a lot) but there's no way I can justify myself picking control or synthesis ending... and lol @ Liara getting the vote for first choice.

As for the last push towards the beam, I thought the part where squddies die are still there if you have low enough EMS, they just took out the cutscene where you actually sees them die? I never had low enough EMS to see any of that. We've lost a lot of friends throughout the trilogy, I just don't want to see more... that an I hope Shepard did not just screwed up what s/he did throughout the whole three games in the last five minutes. Gonna be cautiously optimistic... *crosses fingers*

Oh will try that in my Renegade Garrusmancer, Eve will sadly dies either way anyway in this playthrough (no Maelon's data)

See, I did that--but by the time I got back to Tuchanka, I got the message from Wrex saying Eve was toast. :/

(edit: I know what I did wrong--I did the Benning mission, which counted against the 3-mission timer. DOH!)

Im a big fan of Garrus, but when im playing my Kaidan romance I would like him to take center stage.

With Garrus, most of the friendly interactions have added romance interaction. Like kisses, hand holding, stroking his face, cute flirt lines, etc. So its not like his romance dialogue is 'just standard dialogue'. They gave him extra lines and animations. Why not do the same for other LIs?

With the VS on the Normandy, its not like there's a lack of opportunities.
