Well, that's two Kaidanites who can't get their PC editions working any more - Aoibheann and I both having trouble with DLC authorization. No ME3 single or multiplayer for me

I blame the catalyst - by destroying all synthetics I destroyed my own ability to play!

Does anyone else know offhand what other parts of the game were written by Mac Walters? I'm theorizing over here... And I wish I had a chocolate bunny.

You know, I never did change anyone's armor in ME1. It always bothered me to do so.

Anyway, I missed out on the discussion earlier about how certain LI's get so much screen time. I'm on my second ME3 run with my canon Marlena, and I really wish that she had romanced Garrus because he is with you from nearly the start of the game! I almost did romance him but I was scared about the repercussions of cheating- which ended up being one line :[

Sometimes, I feel like BW puts too much content in for the aliens over the humans (squadmate wise), and probably because everyone seems to love Garrus, Tali, and Liara, but hates the humans. Of all the human squaddies in ME3, Kaidan got the most content (from what I've heard, Ash got a lot less than Kaidan), and Vega has about as many scenes and conversations as Traynor.
I wish there was more LI involvement. I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but DA:O did the romances very well in terms of changing lines/scenes, adding or removing content, etc. It's too bad ME3 didn't get the same treatment, but that's why we have fanfiction!
Which reminds me, I need to stop getting distracted and get back to typing that story.

I was reading something about Jacob the other day, and how if Jacob was a Salarian or some other species he would probably be a fan favorite. Isn't it weird how Mass Effect fans are kind of racist towards our own species?

I have always preferred the humans in Mass Effect, I guess I can just relate to them better.

Edit: I really enjoyed the romances in DA:2. I like how everyone makes comments on it and your LI even comforts you after your mother's death. Mine was Fenris, and it was really nice how he did that even though we were 'broken up' at that point. Now I need to go watch some Fenris videos..

We have to sacrifice EDI in the destroy ending (a character that I've grown to like a lot) but there's no way I can justify myself picking control or synthesis ending... and lol @ Liara getting the vote for first choice.

As for the last push towards the beam, I thought the part where squddies die are still there if you have low enough EMS, they just took out the cutscene where you actually sees them die? I never had low enough EMS to see any of that. We've lost a lot of friends throughout the trilogy, I just don't want to see more... that an I hope Shepard did not just screwed up what s/he did throughout the whole three games in the last five minutes. Gonna be cautiously optimistic... *crosses fingers*

Its a 3 mission timer, ive done it several times now, i always go save turian squad/cure geno/citadel coup then straight onto disarm the bomb mission. Kaidan likes shouting at the beginning of that mission!

 

Oh will try that in my Renegade Garrusmancer, Eve will sadly dies either way anyway in this playthrough (no Maelon's data) 

I understood that to be the case too.  If your EMS was low the squadmates with you die.  Hopefully they don't add it in that they do.  Otherwise I will have to replay Earth with different squaddies.

Pretty sure he did the Citadel Coup and I think Thessia but I'm not sure. He of course wrote the ending.

Patrick Weekes and John Dombrow did Tuchanka and Rannoch. They wrote Wrex, Garrus, Mordin, Joker, Tali, and Javik.

That's my go-swab-the-Normandy's-decks crew!  Sending them to die accompany Shepard will severely impact the Normandy's cleanliness rating.  OTOH, in a battle who would win, Harby's beam, or Liara's plot armor/dev favorite shields?

I don't mind Tali, and I like Garrus, but they did have a lot of screen-time compared to the humans.  And I felt Liara's goodbye to a non-romanced Shepard was quite inappropriate.

Oh, thanks. I loved the Coup and Thessia, but I'm still left wondering what on Earth happened with the end.  I suppose "What on Earth" isn't the best figure of speech when dicussing ME3, is it?

at first I was okay with Liara's goodbye
but when she starts to lean her head to Shepard's shoulder
now thats insane <_<

Or maybe condensed a little for those who only had friendship paths with her, because the resting head on shoulder thing seemed a little more intimate than my FemShep would have liked. It was still a good scene though.

I have a sneaky suspicion there was more to that goodbye than goodbye, even with a friend non romanced Shep.  I don't know why I think that, I have nothing that points me in that direction, but I can't get it out of my gut.

The only ones I have as fact is that he wrote the first two missions (Earth and Mars), the ending, and James.

He likely wrote TIM and probably Anderson and Hackett, but that would just be my guess.

Don't leave out Sylvf (actually, I'm not sure John wrote for Rannoch at all).

She did the entire consensus mission, the mission to rescue the admiral, and a big chunk of Legion's dialogue on the ship.

There was a thread a while ago that suggested Liara was saving Shep's memories in that scene, which would enable her to have Shepard's child later in life and Bioware could use that child as the protagonist to a future ME game (to keep a connection to Shepard and the original story). However unlikely this seems, with how much BW loves Liara and the Asari, I wouldn't put it completely past them.

Maybe I'll skip Liara's goodbye next time I play.
