Has the import patch showed up for anyone on Xbox?

Since bioware hasn't gotten back to me yet and I'm entirely too impatient to wait for them, and you guys are my people, does the import patch come with the dlc or is it all by itself? Because if it comes with the dlc, my Shepard is still not importing. which would make me very sad.

It's just a patch.  If you have Origin on PC, it DLs it automatically as soon as you start it up.

Not yet, that's actually the question I was about to ask.:(

I guess we'll have to wait a little longer. Does anyone know what time these things are usually uploaded at?

I actually messaged Cptdata suggesting an idea for Kaidan's loyalty/romance mission where they track down and rescue his father instead. I thought it would make for more poignant scenes since it's his father who he hasn't always seen eye to eye with, it would be sweet to hear him tell Kaidan how proud of him he is. Also it's a good excuse for Shepard to meet Kaidan's dad, I suggested that if Shepard is in a relationship or rekindled one with Kaidan then his father acknowledges/congratulates them both and makes a joke about how he's done nothing but talk about/pine after Shepard for years, which would of course lead to an embarrased "shhh dad, shut up!" kind of reaction. ../../../images/forum/emoticons/heart.png

Much better than finding Rahna which he first suggested... I wouldn't mind learning more about BaAT and early human Biotics in general. Too bad the only other BAaT student that is known is poor Hendel, would've been cool to meet him in-game too. Kahlee Sanders is made from the CC, Hendel shouldn't be that hard to do.

During my first playthrough, I mistook the Biotic Company as Kaidan's students instead of Jack's, they should've at least name it 2nd Company or something -_-

There is so much backstory about Kaidan that is never got explored in the game. I kinda forgot about his dad, Kaidan mentioned him like twice in ME3? Once in ME? And then he has a cousin in agriculture business or something? Also, I think my questions got kinda forgotten, I hope somebody knows the answer. The entry about Kaidan in the wiki said that he got exposed to eezo when his mother had a transport accident in Singapore or something. I wondered where's that info from cos' I've never heard from it in-game.

Both finding his students and his father could work. Both areas touch on the same problem - Kaidan-biotic teenage age. With his students, he obviously sees a reflection of himself and with his father, there's the issue of parents being ashamed of biotics (like Hendel's parents). So I would be happy with either, ideally, it could be both. Although it would be a serious case of "small galaxy", I wouldn't mind if Kaidan's biotic students and Kaidan's father were at the same place and it was thanks to the biotics that he survived at all until Shep & Kaidan arrive. This could make his father reevaluate how unfair/judgemental he was to Kaidan.

After ME1, I had some nice head canon where Shep and Kaidan do get that shore leave and he takes her home to meet his parents. It was always interesting for my canon, the street child, to meet and interact with a fully functional family.

I wouldn't want him meeting Rahna again, just incase it ****ed with his head and he started having second thoughts about Shepard... Though he'd be bloody stupid to pick some schmuck over Commander ****ing Shepard saviour of the galaxy, but after what Bioware done with the Jacob/Shepard romance I don't trust them not to pull some dodgy stunt like they did with that one.

Yeah the Rahna mission idea is not good at all. It's like, we don't wanna see her, she needs to stay away from Alenko :P Our Sheps won't have it

Maybe we should take the matters into our own hands. I think it would be a good idea to have a "thank you letter/statement" from Kaidan fanbase to his ME3 writer Cathleen Rootsaert for how well she took over Kaidan combined with a request for Kaidan mission in one of the future DLCs. We could accent that he's one of the very few characters without the loyalty mission and give some of our ideas to consider. No demands or forcing anything, just fans picking up on stuff already mentioned in the ME games and little bits Cathleen Rootsaert already implemented in ME3 - like the search for his students and missing father.

In any case, this is the time to do it since they're setting things up for future DLC. Later it will be too late.

I like the idea of finding his students or finding either his father or finding out what happened to his father. I don't think we need some kind of validation over biotics with his father. I think simply having his father being grateful and happy to see his son alive and healthy and happy would be enough along with a "proud of you" would about cover it for me because I think it was mentioned that Kaidan and his father have more or less settled things between them already.

No, but the MP DLC is available for Xbox users. You can only get the maps right now. Don't spend any credits/money on the packs just yet. They haven't updated them just yet.

As for PS3 Users: Patch is available, but no DLC.

Well it's a relief to know that the patch isn't out yet. I thought that it would come with the dlc and wheni downloaded it and the import system still said that it couldn't use the face from my previous game I was a little worried. I would hate to have abandon my canon shep because I actually played me1.

Lol yeah agreed ... She may be a Biotics but Commander Shepard will not have any other girl near Kaidan [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie]

Kaidan's hospital dialogue touched abit on human Biotics in general and that's possibly the only time I've heard discussions about human Biotics in ME3. And there really isn't much we've heard about them lore-wise in ME2. We saw how Cerberus experiments meddle with Jack's and Gillian's Biotics ability and Miranda's but these girls' abilities are engineered.

Kaidan and Hendel would have make a very interesting BaAT conversation... too bad Deception killed him (terribly might I add)... Can't remember if he's also an L2 though. There's also that mission in ME1 where you get to talk to L2 Biotics with Chairman Burns and how he's trying to make reperations for them... and of course, there's no mention of it in ME3. I know Galactic War and all but... since there's so many eavesdrop quest in Citadel... why not the possibility for this?!

I assumed that Kaidan's dad is presumed KIA already (MIA doesn't sound that "assuring" in a Reaper's invasion). But if they decide to do extra content, his students and parents for sure will make up very interesting "loyalty" mission... just yeah no Rahna as was suggested in CptData's thread - Shep wouldn't like it!

I would like to express what I feel about this phenomenal game. I remember the first time I played ME3, I'm sorry but I have to confess that I downloaded it illegally. After a few missions I was really impressed.
I decided to delete the whole game immediately and buy all 3 MEs from Origin legally (I bought from Origin because EA Singapore has stopped shipping EA's games to Thailand).
I love the story even though I haven't played the first two yet but I can tell how the story's been, I love the idea of making decisions, the effects, and also idea of freedom romance. (M/M is what I meant)
But the ending is just too sad and heartbroken. It made me can't sleep for so many nights, I keep seeing picture of Kaidan says goodbye to John in my head every time I go to sleep.
It's just feel like they've been through so much and waiting for many years to be able to love each other (or 5 years in real world). It hurts to think how they finally can be together but now Shepard DIED.
Sometimes I see the flashback moment at the ending cutscene when Joker, Anderson and Kaidan(or whoever) are smiling back and it felt so lonely!
Should he(we) deserve the better ending? I think it wouldn't be any problem if this was not the final episode.

I think that's how most people felt.  They expected closure. They never even anticipated that they wouldn't get it.   I'm not sure how the devs didn't expect people to want/need that out of the FINAL installment.

Throw away line in the very first conversation you can have with him after Eden Prime in ME1.  Something about his dad eventually being proud when he enlisted.

It was a very blink-and-you-miss-it line yes, but I do think it was the purpouse of it to hint about the stigma biotic kids suffered.

Also, pople who only played mShep unfortunately missed it since you couldn't talk to Kaidan after Eden Prime as mShep :(

Yes, you can in M1. I don't really know what you are talking about.  After each mission ( Therum, feros, noveria ).  Except  the romance lines, maleshep can know everything about him. Sarah, his past, biotics, this is the same content as for femshep.

I think that would be really nice. Maybe somebody could put something together and post it here before sending?

No Rahna, though, or she and my Shep would have a catfight starting with a biotic charge and ending with a shotgun.
