OMG!
He looks more like Kaidan from ME3 though because Kaidan in ME3 doesn't have the oriental eyes
And that's too bad, in my opinion.

I am currently trying (and failing miserably) to convince myself I don't need to do yet another run through of ME 1 to 3. I have a long weekend so I'll see if my willpower holds out. It won't
As for multiple plays of a game, I like to do my first run 'blind', playing how I want to so everything is new, no spoilers or anything but after that all bets are off and I'll happily use a guide to find stuff I missed/should do to get the best ending etc.

I've spent waaaay too much time on here in the last few days. I'm currently on a break at work, and first thing I do is come here. Loving the Kaidan pics though *sigh*. The more, the better.

lol you and me both!
And thanks for all the surgery well wishes... i'm not looking forward to the after part and being away from Kaidan and you all in MP ( i don't trust the cloud, last time i tried to play on a different computer it erased my saves.)
About earth- Domino is a spacerkid but it is 'our' home planet and people matter.... as a player it make me cringe every time i hear one of aller's reports about earth..
I too wish they kept ME3 kaidan more in line with 1, but he's still damn skexy
And i must confess ( i paid bioware points to get some of my unlocks lol.. i couldn't wait cuz i was getting ziltch with the cedits.)
And i'm on here several times a day, most days of the week lol... it helps get me through work and my social life, in real life, has dwindled latey.... but i feel so lucky with all the kaidanites

mhmm - well I didn't but in principle I think you are correct. The best solution might have been the other VS - I mean whoever got killed on Virmire (VV - Virmire Victim?). But then that would have been costly to implement because you'd have to have both VOs to voice the part.frylock23 wrote...

For me, the little boy represented all of Earth to Shep, not just that one child. I hated that they co-opted him for the ending, though. The dream sequences were really powerful, to me, and as the game progressed more voices of the dead showed up in them, at least in my game. Maybe they just couldn't come up with anything else for the creature you speak with at the end to look like.
I still maintain that Kaidan would have noticed Shepard jerking out of that dream and asked her about it. That part of the love scene really disappointed me.
The problem is that there was no emotional attachment to the child. Honestly, most of us didn't have much emotional attachment to Earth from the series either. But, they could have generated much more if they had used an avatar that had some emotion behind it like a character who had been in the series and died. Honestly the best option might have been one that died in ME2, but one who HAD to die in ME2. Of course, there were no such characters, but if there had been one and that one was a likeable one ... It would have been a better avatar particularly if that character had come from Earth, Maybe Kelly Chambers as I think most people genuinely liked her?

Well, I thought of VS, too, but so many people are so vocal about leaving the VS behind because they hate them, so it clearly wouldn't work for a majority of the fanbase - imagine the threads whining about how "I killed that whiny Kaidan and now he's back whining in my dreams too?". That's why I thought it needed to be someone that people liked who HAD to die no matter what.
There currently isn't a character like that until ME3 where main characters start dropping like flies. Before that, if someone dies, it's because you made a choice and they die. Even during the "suicide" mission characters only die if you make bad decisions.
So, in order for it to work, it needed to be a character that most people like, a character who then dies no matter what you do. And, yeah, it's impossible because you'd have to go back and remake earlier installments of the series to do it.

In other news...
I accidentally deleted my canon ME3 Shepard career on my Xbox.
What happened was I tried to test out the new face import bug fix, so I re-imported my Shepard from ME2 into ME3 to see how close it looked compared to the Shepard I "recreated" back when importing was still glitched. (the nose, mouth and jaw were all exactly the same, while there were only slight differences in eye and hair color).
I gave the "new" Shepard the same exact name as my canon Shepard... so when I went to delete the extra Shepard, I wound up deleting my canon Shepard by accident... oh well. On the bright side, I get to restart my Shepard using the face he was meant to use.

Maybe I just get into the roleplay aspect too much of a game, but the idea of "I left the VS behind because they were whiny, why are they in my dreams" is a bit silly. Shepard wouldn't be standing there thinking, "God, I hate Ashley, she can burn and die," or, "Kaidan spent too much time whining about some girl from his past, he can chew on fusion." At that moment I'd expect it to be the LEAST thing Shepard considers when deciding whom it is will be left behind.
Though at this point I'm glad I left Ashley on Virmire, I hate seeing what she becomes in ME3.I actually liked her in the first game.
Yeah, but take a cruise around the forums and you'll see what I mean. The VS, whether we're talking Ashley or Kaidan, takes a lot of hate - Ash for being racist and Kaidan for being whiny.
I don't get either criticism myself, but there it is.

Eh, I did that too with my first playthrough. It's OK though. My recreation of my canon's face wasn't close, so deleted it on purpose to have my real face in the game. My recreated Kelly looked a little too cute. She's a street tough, not a looker.

Am I completely wrong in thinking that Shepard would suffer a bit of a breakdown after everything she's dealt with? She's so... superhuman. I really like what I've written, but part of me is afraid it's out of character - even though it feels so right.
