I'm quite jealous of all you people in America. There's rarely any decent guests at UK cons... well there are but they're never the ones I want at the time  Wonder if we could get Sbarge to come over for a con at some point... according to some forum posts London MCM expo's just started gathering guests. That said, if he came over for the London MCM expo I'm sure someone would make a joke about Kaidan getting to visit London again.

I certainly wouldn't object. My usual D*Con crowd has gotten so small since we stopped playing FFXI together that I've usually got plenty of time free.

This is the big thing with me. It's one of the main reasons why I always choose Kaidan.  I had started the other romances in ME2 but I really hated how I had to be the one to start them. It didn't seem like any of them "had ever thought about it before". I think that's the line many of the Femshep options used. As soon as I heard that I quit. 

Man, why'd they have to take him out of the first like 10 hours? I'm still so mad about that. We had a whole blasted game without him. Isn't that enough?

I thought over my options in ME2, and I

1.) didn't really like most of the characters all that much
2.) couldn't get past femSheps hooker voice to go after Jacob; plus he didn't seem all that interested
3.) started going for Garrus, but it just felt all wrong
4.) thought Thane might be interesting, but he was dying

Sooo, I stayed true to Kaidan.

I wish I could go to D con but I have to work and had to miss Oni con this year. I had a friend get tickets to E3 one year to me that was cool since you can only get invited by someone. I also been to A-kon 20 that was in Dallas Texas Spent three days, and so wanted to go to the area where JFK was shot. I live in Texas thought a 5 hour drive >.< from Houston Texas.

You should come if you can, definitely! I've never been to D*Con before (this'll be my first year) but my past years of SDCC attending have been a blast. And everything I've heard about DC suggests it's way better than SDCC, and certainly more laid back, so I'm trilled. Plus, Sbarge, that right there is reason enough to go!

Anyone here planning on wearing Mass Effect costumes? I'm really getting the urge to knock off one of my other ideas and go ME for a day...

I don't cosplay myself (no money/time/resources). But it would be cool to see some ME cosplay going on.

I'm planning on wearing Mass Effect t-shirts, maybe.

There are definitely quite a few ME cosplayers, though I don't know any of them personally. I met up with a big group of Dragon Age cosplayers last year, and it was awesome! BioWare even sent along a box of DA goodies. I think some of the devs were even interested in coming, but it was just too close to PAX Prime (and is in fact the SAME WEEKEND this year, ugh). 

Don't know about ME meetups, but I did spot quite a few ME cosplayers while I was out and about. It was an awesome sight to see Hawke and Shepard hanging out and chatting in the hotel bar. 

You could always check if there's an ME meetup arranged through cosplay.com, as well. I don't costume myself, so it was very kind of the DA folks to let me hang out with them and take photos. It might also be worth checking in with the D*C comm on Livejournal (dragoncon.livejournal.com) to see if there are any ME cosplayers as it's the main discussion forum for the con. 

I come over from the UK every year for D*Con, and it's always a fantastic time.

Pfeh, why do all the fun stuff always happen across the pond? *lonely swede is lonely* If mr Sbarge came over to London Expo I'd seriously consider to go, if I so had to travel alone. Wanted to go for a few years but eh, college studies makes it hard to plan that sort of trips.

I'm hoping to be able to go this year, even more so now that sbarge and other kaidanites are going to be there .  I won't know for sure til closer to the time and if i can hitch a ride/stay with my friends that had talked about it.

Well, if there's going to be a party, I'll see what I'm up to around then sounds like a fantastic event!

I may be on mp in disguise later under hubby's alias... a level1 noob account with no weapons or powerups - I wonder if I will get past the lobby on any games?  I've not even tried my own account yet today but then they did say it would be 1-2 weeks until someone reviewed my issue. No emails from EA in the inbox, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
