You're going to D*Con, too? So that brings the tally to...three Kaidanites so far? Not much of a crowd, but a meetup would definitely be awesome! 

I'm hoping to be able to go this year, even more so now that sbarge and other kaidanites are going to be there .  I won't know for sure til closer to the time and if i can hitch a ride/stay with my friends that had talked about it.

And the only costumes i currently have is renfaire garb lol.. i could do Mass Effect Renaissance style....hehe

edit- if anyone doesn't mind playing mp with a laggy person (thanks to this rentalo laptop) let me know. lol ... i hate not being able to play full strength.

Well, if there's going to be a party, I'll see what I'm up to around then sounds like a fantastic event!

I may be on mp in disguise later under hubby's alias... a level1 noob account with no weapons or powerups - I wonder if I will get past the lobby on any games?  I've not even tried my own account yet today but then they did say it would be 1-2 weeks until someone reviewed my issue. No emails from EA in the inbox, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

looks like i'm going to have to reformat the new HD.. or risk loosing every thing... from DAO to ME3...

DragonCon you should totally come too lol.. i really really hope i can make it this yr.. been wanting to go for ages and jealous of my friends who've been going for years.  We can represent our Kaidanites!

Hubby and I have been to GenCon three times. We were there for the last time in Wisconsin and for the first time in Indy (boy was that a logistical mess). He was big into Legends of the Five Rings, and we camped out for an entire afternoon in kimonos to get the storyline characters we wanted at the storyline LARP. We played multi-deck Munchkin with all the other people sitting around us in line who were also camping out.

I think the most awesome moment of cosplay irony was when we were in Indy in full kimono and the Colts were having a pre-season game. It was Saturday which is GenCon's costume contest day, so on one side you had a flood of cosplayers and on the other you had a flood of Colts fanatics in full blue/white face paint. One of the Colts fans looks over at the cosplayers and says, "freaks!"

It was awesome, awesome irony.

HOT. I agree with what someone else, wish I had the pc version (and the skill) for the better screen shots and to create those images we didn't get in the game

Freakin sweet about Dragon Con...So wanting to go! Maybe this year I will skip Otakon and go to Dragon Con...I have a DA 2 cosplay I'm working on plus if the armor idea I have works I will be making possible male and female Shepard armor cosplays...totally worth going to Dragon Con. : ) Now I'm really wanting to go to Dragon Con...must test Jedi mind powers on hubby...

That's awesomely hilarious!! 
I'm not so good at costumes myself.  I have a wonderwoman bag costume, and for halloween last year wore some boots and shorts, braided my hair, duck taped guns to my thighs and was Lara Croft.  Pretty classy, huh?  But I do own a Normandy Crew t-shirt.  I'll rock a fake accent and you can call me Samantha Traynor.

Though a cunning thing I found - with hubby's vanilla account I logged in to my regular machine as him - it found all MY saves, so I was able to "back them up" to HIS cloud. Now, if they nuke my account somehow (I'm sure they won't intend to but I have zero faith in their ability to fix this without some loss) then at least I haz sneaky backups. 

Sidenote - I discovered I could play as him on my machine - so it's my account, not my machine that's borked.

I just checked June edition of SFX for upcoming UK events (I still get it delivered, even though I'm now in the US, 'cos I love it so damn much) - there's a section pages 44-45 on upcoming events, and an add for http://massiveevents.co.uk/ but nothing on the same scale. Mostly it's comics, and events for specific shows.

I may or may not make it to D*Con this year; I haven't made it in like... oh man. Probably 11 years. Eesh it's been too long. If I make it, I'd love to meet up with ya'll though!

On a more Kaidan note, two fun things:
1) I got the line where he says that I didn't wake him. Aw!!! So cute.
2) I was chatting about ME with a coworker and he's like "I kept Ashley, that other guy was so annoying." I started laughing but I couldn't quite bring myself to admit that I run the Kaidan Alenko fanlisting. I just giggled a little and came up with some suitable neutral answer. Since I didn't want to gush at a guy that I, you know, work with.

I certainly don't wish I lived in Atlanta, that heat and humidity would kill me! Really starting to rethink one of the costumes I was planning that's made pretty much entirely out of leather/pleather...

I've been researching how to make some of these ME costumes, I think I may just try my hand at crafting a set of N7 Armor. I'd rather go as either Ashley or Miranda, as I look more like them than I do like default FemShep, but I understand that Spandex is a privilege, not a right! I found one person who makes very authentic made-to-order N7 armor sets... For $1000 total! $1350 if you want the assault rifle with it. Yeah, so here's to hoping some sort of crafting skills are blessed to me overnight and I can figure this thing out.
Which means that I now have six costumes, and only four days to wear them. Blah.

On a Kaidan related note, those tumblr pics are awesome!

Also I gave in and bought a Kinect (the $50 off deal was too much to resist) and it actually does make the game more fun when you can shout out commands to your squadmates and change to your shotgun by yelling "Boomstick!". Anyways there was a point to that spiel, the voice commands for the convos may seem gimmicky (and they are unless your using your hands to eat delicious food while your in conversations) but let me tell you how the fangirl in me squealed as I mumbled "Iloveyou" to Kaidan in the romance scene and it worked.:wub: *wonders if she is being too fangirlie*

I'm replaying ME3 again (although I probably won't play the final mission again) and I want to maximize my time with Kaidan during the game without messing up/missing any of the main or side missions. I know I've seen something about how to do this before but I just can't find it even after a search. I'm sure this has been asked a lot and I hate to ask again. Any help would be very much appreciated.
