Wait, there's a cutscene where Kaidan talks about his parents? I've played through twice and haven't gotten that. Just autodialogue about if he's settling in well.

Then again, I didn't even get the scientist cutscene on my second run, so I guess it's just buggy.

nah its not bugged out, you have to visit him as soon as he gets onto the Normandy or you dont get the scene

I really don't understand why everyone says that Ash gets less screen time than Kaidan. >.> I watched my friend play through his Ash-friendship playthrough, and he got two cutscenes with Ash just like we did with Kaidan, they just came at different times. On the Citadel, you get two chances to talk to Ash - once at the Memorial when she's there for her sister, and once during the 'date' scene (when they co-opted Kaidan's table). On the Normandy, you get to walk in on her drunk (which was an adorable scene and I wish they'd done something so cute with Kaidan!).

Other than that, they get about the same amount of standard dialogue. I don't know how it is with a Shepley, but I doubt they cut anything out.

That said, the only thing I really, really want from Kaidan's romance is a specialized scene after Thessia. They make such a point of showing Shepard on the edge, then her LI sits there and talks about another woman? Nuh uh!

I mean, I'd always take more - there are points that could be fleshed out, touched up, or simply expanded upon with a nice little scene. And I'd be happier if I could call him up to my cabin after the date for some cuddling. But compared to... well, Thane is the only ME2 LI I care about, but any of the ME2 LIs, we're fine until they address them. (Especially Thane.)

While I always think there's room for more, Kaidan's romance left me feeling pretty satisfied. Yeah, I wish there was more significance with him after the Coup, but none of the other characters get much significance after their "big levels" either (except Liara...). Overall, I'd say he got the second best treatment, so I'm not complaining. And everything we did get with him was absolutely amazing, especially the writing and character interactions (IMO, I personally liked his development from 1 through 3).

I'd love to contribute a letter to the LI project, but doesn't it have to be a page, maximum? Yeah... I have a tendency to not be able to stop writing once I start, the ideas just keep flowing, y'know? I'd probably end up with four pages, and then have to figure out how the heck to shorten it to one page. And that's after reformatting Word's font and paragraph sizing.

I'd totally buy the Kaidan one, but I doubt they'll make them all which makes me sad because then Kaidan would be a low priority. Although they might ask us to vote I actually think the Kaidan one looks the best, no biased, I couldn't see myself wearing any other.

But it's how Bioware does them now... If they make them like the awful N7 Full armor hoodie that uses that awful print, then they'd be awful.

I'm slowly making my way through my first mshep playthrough for eventual Kaidan loveliness in ME3.  I have to say though, it seems like they were pretty close even in ME1.  I mean, way closer than my fshep was to Ash.  Kaidan falling for Shep (and vice versa) seems completely natural after their relationship in the first game (and probably after the dreaded Horizon, but I have yet to play through that yet).  Looking forward to this beautiful scene

On the subject of moar Kaidan in game, I would have really liked a loyalty type mission for Kaidan. But I guess that's what Mars was supposed to be? At least we got that I guess. I love that line when shep says, "You were always stubborn", and he just laughs incredulously and says, "Me?!" Soooooo cute.

I agree. I feel like he got a quite good treatment, especially when you compare it to Jacob's or Thane's.
I do have to complain about the lack of conversation after Thessia. Honestly, I just feel like Liara gets too much. She even got a whole DLC to herself <_<

I wish they would make a dlc with some generic mission where we could only take the VS

That line was what made me go from "you're ok" on Kaidan to "OMG You're awesome and I want to pinch your cheeks!"
