Chibi I suggest going to Purgatory to drown your sorrows, then reload, fill your rep bar to at least the first line, you'll be good to go then!

NOOOOO!  That only ever happened to me once when I went through clean with no import, it broke my heart!  I was so depressed!  I went to Purgatory, got wasted then, loaded an earlier save and did a crapload of citadel fetch quests so I could convince him.  Never happens now, always import!  The Renegade interrupt will just make you the one that shoots him, it's even worse!  I did that first, stared in horror at the screen, reloaded, ignored the interrupt and Garrus shot him....

This here was the very first thing that had me metagaming my first run through.  There was no way I was going to shoot Kaidan or let anyone else shoot him.  I can't even watch the videos of it.

I didn't know that would happen. , it was the worst thing I've ever seen, I just couldn't have completed a playthrough after that!

well i could always load the finished me3 file and play again and instead be good to kaidan and let him know that Shepard Still cares and pretend hsi death didn't really happen

Yeah, Shepard can't save everybody its a hard lesson to learn, when you have to see the man you love get killed by someone else? The thing is about Garus not looking like he hates shooting Kaidan I'd just slack that up to his face design. It doesn't show that many emotions very well.

Going off of ME1, his face didn't show that much emotion, what so ever during the talks I had with him. Still didn't show any emotion during ME2, ( other than being happy to see me line) I guess the face design doesn't give up much room to give him emotional actions.

I agree that because of the face design there isn't much leeway for facial expressions, I mean there are only so many ways you can interpret the mandibles twitching, which is about the limit of Garrus' facial expressions.

Yeah it doesn't, it's like he wears a mask, I'm not quite sure how he could have conveyed sorrow at that point, it's a shame really because it clearly upsets him a lot....

Ture that! The mandibles are the promble just because they can't move with the face movment.. . However, its nice to hear him say, how much he respects Kaidan during the after cope... And, that he was sorry for their deaths and all that if he or Ashely died during your playthorugh..

If it was Garrus who shot him that's pretty dramatic...Your ex-boyfriend (who I assume you still love, seeing it's Kaidan;)) gets shot to death by the guy you had a fling with...


I've seen the scene where Kaidan dies on You Tube. Don't think i could ever go through with it, I'd probably have to go back to a previous save and fix things, even if it meant doing several missions again.

Also, how is it a Paragon action to get someone else to shoot Kaidan or Ashely? That bit confuses me a hell of a lot more so than the Renegade option, where you shoot him or her. I would consider both renegade options but that just my own opinion. No, I will not just have a fling with Garus, I'm thinking of letting my Spacer having him.
