Hello Kaidanites, I have some questions because I don't have much experience with direct download games.
Soooo... There is a sale on ME1 UK version on Gamersgate. I wonder if it's region-locked (I live in Australia at the moment)? Since I've been moving around counries too much, I've been having problem with buying console games so I shall stick with more DD games from now on (plus I have a sick rig now). Always wanted the PC version because well who wouldn't want nice screenshots
And well it's a nice excuse again to see Kaidan in his LT days
Help? pweety please?! And to draw your attention... have a Major Alenko

See the loveliness of screenshots, finally getting around to play my free ME2 PC version, Commander Alenko hasn't been getting much attention compared to LT or Major Alenko

I am all too familiar with the pain of moving from one region to another. PC games are FINE! it's xbox that's the problem. Most xbox titles are unlocked these days - but not all. You can't tell from the packaging which are and which aren't. Turns out, Wipeout is locked, and wouldn't play on our UK xbox. Along with several other titles we tried.
Second problem - oh yes it gets more complicated - is that your xbox live account is region locked. Crazy? Yep, that's how it works. I could not say my account was now in the US. I couldn't purchase more points for xbox live because I got rid of my old UK credit card, and my US credit card would not be accepted. Your downloaded content is tied to your account. You can join xbox live as a family, but only if you all live in / accounts are from the same country. So my husband and I could join a family, but not my son (whose account was created after we moved).
Moral of the story, if you move regions / countries semi-permanently, just leave your old xbox behind and write it off as a total loss and buy a new one with all new accounts! (take your saves if you can and hope they may still work but I cannot guarantee they will.)
And this is why I'm still a PC girl!
