Kaidan vents about the Council to Shepard, in private, because he doesn't want his personal frustrations to impact morale.  And he tries to share his concerns about Shepard digging her/his/itself too deep and winds up weaving his past into a morality tale about thinking before you jump.  He doesn't really talk about his past for the sake of talking about his past except when Shepard flat-out asks him about it, and he doesn't really complain about BaAT on a personal level (oddly, he talks a lot in the third person - "how's a kid supposed to deal with that?",  "a lot of kids snapped, some died," etc.).

Never really came across as whining to me. 



Anyway.

About Horizon, yes, I do belive he had right to be mad, because person you love, comes back fromt he dead and she's working for something you two used to fight against. He could have worded it better but I am gona give him him a benifit of a doubt due to the fact when U MAD? you don't really think clearly about what you saying XD

No idea who Carth is? FOR SHAME! 

Kidding aside, both Carth and Kaidan are military men, in their 30s, who talk about issues they've had before, and have the same voice actor, so that means THEY'RE THE EXACT SAME. (except they're not, at all.)

Horizon, I don't dislike it because Kaidan gets angry at Shepard, I dislike it because no matter what, Shepard acts very herpy-derpy in his/her responses, and they're basically like "I'm with Cerberus, hurr durr" no matter whether you choose paragon/renegade/neutral. Why couldn't we have had an option for Shepard to show some emotion, especially if Kaidan was your ME1 LI? It's annoying when you're given choice in your responses, except all your responses say the same thing with different wording. Nope, my Shepard isn't mad at Kaidan at all, she wanted to leave Horizon with him, but she felt some obligation to Cerberus for bringing her back just to fight the Reapers. Too bad I couldn't convey that with the dialogue choices we were given.

I think if they added in an achievement of "Beat the game with Femshep" and/or "Import a save and beat the game with Femshep" more people will go back and play femshep and possibly even to 1 and keep kaidan. Or so a girl can hope.

Question for you all...

I recently played through ME again, since I missed Kaidan so much, and I got to Virmire and realized that every time, I've always sent Ash with the salarians, leaving Kaidan to arm the nuke. Has anyone sent Kaidan with the salarians instead, and still rescued him? It had never occurred to me to do this...since I always wanted him right with me.

Also, I managed to save the salarian Captain exactly once...never been able to do it since, what do you have to do specially to save everyone?

The first time I played, I reloaded an earlier save and did all four permutations of Virmire.  I did this again recently for screenshot purposes.  Although I usually keep him with the bomb, I think I saved him at the tower once "for real."  And you can rationalize it either way, although the person left behind with the bomb cutscene is awesome yet gut-wrenching painful to watch.

Um... anyway.  To save Kirrahe, you have to take out three geth strongpoints on the way to the compound.  One you have to hack a terminal, one you have to shoot a satellite, one you have to blow up some fuel tanks and enemy fliers (which are a bit out of the way).  You also have to NOT set off alarms on the other side of the base (this will overwhelm the salarian team).

To mix things up I sent him to the towers once, I don't think I'll do that again since I had to watch Ash die at the bomb site. You get cooler shots of Shepard but lose the hand-up scene which I find kind of romantic even if the next thing you do is throw him over your shoulders. But I find it very cool hearing him over the comm leading his own squad. I see it as the game showing you that Kaidan is capable of his own command.

First of all, you guys, congratulations on reaching past 100!!! Sorry if it is late. Like really late. But pushing past 100+ shows love. Love I tell you!!!

Also I did send Kaidan with the Salarians once, but it didn't really fit with me. Although it was awesome how Shepard comes to his rescue in a dramatic way, but as the commanding officer (and who romanced him) felt like she was placing emotions ahead of duty.

I don't know. It's a cool scene, but that path just doesn't fit alright with me.

Anyway has there been any new news about ME3 these couple of days or weeks? (Especially about Kaidan?) I've been busy and gone so...

Now sweetie BUT! There's a strong possibility we'll get some big doses of Kaidan next week when Gamescom kicks in. One of the BW devs asked on twitter what we wanna see at Gamescom and we spammed hi with Kaidan requests and he acknowledged the interest!

Well, he never said when would that new pack of screenshots be released, so maybe it was about Gamescom too? One way or another, they all know we're hungry for Kaidan so they better feed us soon
