Wow, Ghostbusters flashback! (Dana Barratt, slept 4ft above her covers, according to Peter Venkman).

An evening thought while I read on my iPhone before bed. I often think Bioware would make a flipping MIT full of money offering dlc extended romance scenes and/or character specific content. Like soooo much money. I'm practically begging Bioware to take my money for more content of this kind. I can't wrap my mind around why they don't do this.

I think it comes down to what makes the MOST money. Getting back each VA would cost a lot, plus all the writing work that would need to go in to making up to 17 different DLC missions. And making character specific DLC won't make as much money as DLC like Arrival or Omega or Overlord; more people are likely to download a generic DLC mission as opposed to a specific character DLC.
For example, let's say they released a DLC mission for Thane. Thane fans would buy it immediately, but would everyone else? I personally wouldn't buy Thane DLC, because I don't really like Thane all that much. Unless the DLC was sold for less than $5. But would BW make enough profit on something sold for that little? And what about the people who had Thane die in ME2?

That's why, if they were to make character DLC, it would probably be for someone like Liara who, under no circumstances, can die, and who the majority of the fans adore.

Barely a page goes by without a gratuitous butt shot.

You could say Kaidan's butt is addictive, like crack.

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

I'd buy all the character DLCs as long as they were priced reasonably... I want all the story, even if I'm not wild about that character. Shadowbroker DLC had some awesome scenes! I'm no Liara fan, but that ship scene was awesome, the music was great.

I'm terrible - after 2 weeks without the game, what do I do to show my anger? That's right, I go and buy 800BW points so I get me a Geth. Why? Because I love the game, I love the series (aside from the last 30 mins) and I've been going to the Bioware store every day this weekend because they discounted the hoodie I wanted but they're out of stock of my size! Damn them.

I have many, many things that deserve my money more. I just a geek, nerd, fan, whatever you want to call me. It's like an addiction / compulsion, in my case I seem to be hooked on things that are not real, an escape from real life. Would I rather investigate my options for changing my bank or would I rather shoot Cerberus dudes with a Geth SMG. I got this way about several things in the past - mostly sci-fi realm. ME universe ranks up there with the rest of 'em.

Oh, holy crap. I never knew about that sale. :( Why doesn't the Ladies' hoodie come in black as well as Charcoal?! Boo-urns.

hi all. just dropping off a fanfic update. it's so nice that ME3 has so much Kaidan in it. I missed writing Kaidan in me2 -or just making copious amounts of stuff up since he wasn't IN the dang game like ever.

anyhow, if dropping off fanfic is not the thing or whatever, let me know and i'll stop.

Ragnarok - Chapter 4: Connect
(also less well formatted on fanfic.net if you prefer to read/leave comments there)
in which I catch up with actual in game events involving shepard and kaidan (and some other peeps, too)

I'm a lurker in this forum, but I wanted to give a big Amen to this.

Also, to share one of my favorite Kaidan screenshots.

YEESSSS. Ok, time to read~ :o

EDIT: I have to say.. I love your fanfic
And I also missed Kaidan in ME2. In my opinion, ME2 is almost perfect...it is only missing Kaidan

Beginning of ME3 is also pure torture. First they give us Kaidan (Mars mission) and then they take him away for several missions. On both of my playthroughs I always dropped everything I was doing and headed to Citadel whenever I got email from Kaidan saying that I could visit him in the hospital

Ha ha. Well, I think they softened that torture with the Tuchanka mission. I say that arc was very good. Loved it. I missed Wrex as much as Kaidan! He's the next best thing after Garrus!

Yeah, that's true, Tuchanka was so good that I forgot about Kaidan for a while. Kaidan, Wrex, Garrus, Grunt (my baby krogan) and Mordin are all my favourites. I'm currently replaying ME2. Played Mordin&Grunt loyalty mission last night and cried a little when Shepard & Wrex met (www.youtube.com/watch:blush:

Grunt! My Krogan baby! Oh, how I love thee! That Rachni Queen side mission made me cry when the game was playing with Grunt's life! I was so happy when he got out alive. ^_^

I know, I was crying like a baby when I thought he died and cried even more when he crawled out of that cave alive. I often get emotional when watching movies or playing games, but I swear I've never cried as much as I did on my first ME3 playthrough

A bit off-topic, so here's Kaidan:

Does anyone here remember if Vega has any other nicknames for the Normandy crew? I'm writing about him and I can only come up with, Lola for Shepard and Sparks for Tali  Are there anymore?

Mass Effect Wiki seems to have a list of nicknames:

Loco - Male Shepard
Lola - Female Shepard
Sparks - Tali
Doc - Liara
Scars - Garrus
Esteban - Cortez
Buggy - Javik

This sums up my entire life!  Things that are not real trump anything that is real 90% of the time, I've always known this since I was a kid, vivid imagination and a desire to stay in it has afflicted me since then...and I'm no youngster, that's a lot of years lol (okay so, I do do things outside of my head obviously, but I know what you mean..)

I'm one of those people that never grew up, and I don't ever intend to either tyvm! :D

If I ever need to remember Cortez's first name, I remember this: You sure?

I swear it's so funny. Male Shepard delivers the funniest lines ever sometimes.

I'm just going to confirm this with my fellow Kaidanites: it has absolutely been proven that in order to get Kaidan on the Tuchanka: Bomb mission, you have to forego completing the Benning mission, yes?

I know his name is Steve, but I thought Esteban is his real name and Steve is his nickname to make it easier for other people to remember, pronounce w/e

My name is Katrin and some people especially my american friends, have trouble pronouncing it. So most of them just call me Kat or Kathrin. I guess it's the "r"?  I dont know

Gah, why wont they work <_<

Last try.... Please work :crying:
