My name is Katrin and some people especially my american friends, have trouble pronouncing it. So most of them just call me Kat or Kathrin. I guess it's the "r"?  I dont know

I think people may think that Katrin is a mispronunciation of Katherine, hence the issue.

It's all a matter of practice. As long as you use them in conversations repeatedly, you won't forget a name or how to pronounce it. Unless it's the wrong name in the first place.

Might be. But even my husband can't really pronounce it right and he know its not meant to be Kathrine. He says its the R and his family has trouble as well. I don't really care anymore, I'm used to it by now. That's why I thought Steve is some short/easier form for Esteban.

 I haven't played ME3 for a while in the middle of my second playthrough... but that didn't stop me from dreaming about it last night... it was odd. But of all the things I could dream about in the ME universe (Kaidan )

My dream though was about bloody multiplayer <_< Not even going to begin to describe it...

I had a dream after ME2 that Kaidan saw Shepard while she was on the Citadel with her squad.... it was awkward!

In my Kaidan dream, he was wearing a leather jacket, was taking it off, and doing card tricks while the winds was blowing on his shirt. O_O

I was like 'wut' after I woke up. I swear I get these strangest dreams whenever I drink coffee to stay up.

 My dream was just a cluster of stuff, I was on a multiplayer map, with real people, but it was like we were characters, the enemies were real, I swear the banshee had a human face (and spoke).  Then I ran off because I got swamped or something. Then because I didn't get to wave 10 my friend was going to be tortured or something. I woke up and was just like wth... why couldn't have I just dreamed about Kaidan instead

No Kaidan in it unfortunately , Phoenix starred as Miranda though, I was my Femshep, that's when I discovered that the entrance to "hell" was a vent

Nope! I think what you have to do is do the mission to rescue the turian squad (Tuchanka: Turian Platoon) JUST before the Tuchanka main mission. Then do Tuchanka, Citadel coup, and if you go straight there you can get Kaidan on the bomb mission! You just have make sure you don't do any missions in between. :happy:

This is very good to know!  I kept doing spread sheets about the fastest, yet complete, way to get Kaidan back ASAP.  I'll do this on my next play through!

And someone mentioned the hoodies in the bioware store - keep checking back, it seems they seem to have odd sizes from time to time randomly in the drop down. I finally got my size last week, though the Fedex tracking number has yet to work. I check my mail box 100000x per day lol

Very well put!  I get hyper involved myself... also I have this discussion with my gamer husband all the time.  I said " why is loving video games any less of a hobby then sewing, or hockey, or collecting stamps??"  

We having "gaming" in our budget haha so we didn't have to pick between anything else...

I'm constantly trying to find ways to get more involved in ME - I had to buy a entire second gaming console, and all 3 games again just to do the full play through,  every collectors eddition I could find, all the DLC's.  Now I'm into clothing, art books, and shortly, I'll start making trips to Bioware/ME events, if I could ever find out where they are / with enough planning.

As I said before, pretty much begging them to take my money.

Story time!
Friday my husband snuck in from work while I was on the phone and had a piece of fiction I was writing up on my computer. (I write stuff down to get it out of my head for personal use - none of it's published. Well not exactly none, I've done a couple of prompts for the KMeme. Cuz, you know, it's a good writing exercise *cough*) He totally busted me and made so much fun of me for writing fanfiction that I said I wasn't, in fact, writing anything I was reading someone else's. This seemed somehow less offensive to him, although he still clearly disapproves. Anyway, I promptly deleted everything I have ever written (even though I keep them as hidden files on my lappy) which was, like, 3 years of stuff. I feel like an idiot. I haven't caved to peer pressure like that in about 15 years. I figured you guys would understand my pain.

I totally get what you are saying. I had my husband proof read my first few stories, but once I started writing more steamier bits, I havent let him near anything I've written.

He doesnt really care though even though he likes to make fun of me here and there. MEN!!!

Oh, Ieborum... I'm glad you didn't delete them all outright. I totally empathise with your embarrassment, though. When I started writing those two little stories last week I felt so ridiculous. I started in my notebook and every time my boyfriend would come to the living room I'd put it away... then I started typing it up on my laptop and would close it every time he got too close because I didn't want him to see what I was doing. I felt so sick after I uploaded the first one and posted the link here, too. Afterwards I let my boyfriend read it, and he thought it was cute....but there's no way I'm letting him read the second one with the sexytime bits. XD

Isn't it silly how stigmatised it is? Gosh.

If you ever change your mind about sharing any of it, I'm sure we'd all love to read it. This thread is so amazing and full of so many extraordinary, supportive people; I never would have dreamed of uploading my work if I hadn't felt that at the least, everyone here would understand, even if they didn't like it. It helped restore some of my confidence in my work again, something that had been sorely lacking.

I totally agree.  I think it is a really 'real' couple thing to do.  Along with the scene where Shep puts their hand on his chest, then chin and pulls him in for a kiss after the nightmare.  SO AWESOME.  I've been trying to find a picture of that for some time now but I keep getting distracted when I find other pictures lol
