This is one oy my favourite moments in any Bioware romance ever. The whole date is super sweet, but this moment is just the best. He's just so relieved. It's adorable.

I totally agree.  I think it is a really 'real' couple thing to do.  Along with the scene where Shep puts their hand on his chest, then chin and pulls him in for a kiss after the nightmare.  SO AWESOME.  I've been trying to find a picture of that for some time now but I keep getting distracted when I find other pictures lol

It's one of my favourite moments too

I romanced Garrus in one ME2 playthrough a couple of years ago, but it felt like romancing a brother / best friend. After that my Shepard has stayed faithful to Kaidan :innocent: I think I'd need to play male Shepard to be able to romance someone else.

I know what you mean, I tried flirting with Garrus in ME2 and it just felt weird and wrong...I stopped there and haven't played since...I love him, but I realised not in the way that matters lol

I guess we are not Kaidanites for nothing...

I prefer the best friend dynamic between Shepard and Garrus, I think they did a great job on that in ME3..

"There is no Shepard without Vakarian"  that's just nails the whole friendship for me.  Garrus is the only thing that is able to drag me through ME2..

I remember watching FemShep/Garrus romance scene on youtube, and first i was like  and then i was like ... Garrus is my BBF, cant even imagine him as a lover of femShep. It just so wrong, on so many levels.

Yea it made me cringe a bit to be honest. BFF is the way to go, it just works better that way! It didn't help that I bought the Art of Mass Effect book and saw their drawings of what the turians look like without their armor. A Kaidan fix was needed after that one!

I guess I'm sensible enough not to click on the blonde Kaidan link or google Turian without armor... 

But basically you guys nailed the feeling about Garrus' romance for me... He's such a BFF that I felt wrong trying to romance him, my friend begged me to though 'cause Turian's her thing I guess and she can't play shooter to save her life... <_<

His romance plotline in ME2 feels so awkward ("the heat sink dialogue" - gosh), and at least it's better in ME3 but nothing... no other character's romance can compare to Kaidan's

I've been spending so much time playing ME3 lately that it's becoming more and more strange to think of the Kaidan from ME1 and ME2 as being the same person, you know? He looks so different, he's more fleshed out as a character, he's more confident and self-aware... It's such an awesome character growth.

Of all three appearances, ME2 Kaidan is my least favourite, not just because of the omgangst, but he even looks weird. The whole scene has that strange soap opera fuzzy glow, and he looks like he's carved out of wax, it's creepy.
