That's what happens to mine too. I personally thought my Shepard looks younger as the game progresses... She looks "too cute" in ME3 even though her face structure and features stay largely the same (she imported pretty well though)

And here's some Kaidan's comparison SS (color balance adjust the SS so it will look like he's in similar lighting... the ME2 ss is not from my game though... haven't got that far in my ME2 PC version)...



EDIT: Here's my Shep if anybody wants to see how she got imported... (bad quality for the ME3 SS cos it's from the XBOX using camera) The lack of thick upper eyelashes made her look "doe-eyed", I just rationale that she gets all dreamy cos Kaidan is back (plus I was surprised at how "giggly" Shep can be during the dinner date)...



Kaidan though, I actually like how he looks in ME2 but the ME3 looks so...

The weird thing for me about the makeup, specifically the mascara, is that she seemed to get more of it after Earth. This was actually one of the biggest problems I had with my Shepard, because through ME1 and ME2 she had very heavy black mascara, and in the ME3 CC I could not judge if her eyes were the same because of the lack of it.

And then after the Earth mission, suddenly she was back to having fairly heavy mascara -- not as thick as the previous two games, but it looked like more than she'd had when i started.


IDK, maybe being around hot men again made her step up her game. I like to think my Shepard was always a little bit vain, with that provocative lipstick and all.

I don't know, it could just be me misremembering. It just seemed to me like during th Leaving Earth my Shepard's makeup was non-existant, and then after Earth, suddenly her eyes became really dark. Maybe it's just lighting changes? 

Edit: enh, I looked over my screenshots and the difference isn't as big as my brain wanted me to think, I guess. I just remember becoming suddenly aware of how dark her eyes were and thinking something had changed. Maybe it's just because of the poor lighting in the character creator.

I wanted to share with you guys that I'm reading the new Wired magazine (yes, I'm that geeky) and it contains an article on the benefits of fanfic writing! I'm on my phone so I don't have a link but it should be pretty easy to find.

That sounds fun. If you have a chance later, could you post the link. I'm lame and couldn't find it. I totally got distracted by other articles for about an hour though.

For those of you who are following my drama, last night when I opened up Word to do a work assignment husband said, "I hope you're not planning on writing any fanfiction," and I got mad at him. End result: he is supportive of anything I choose to do. Talking to him wasn't so bad after all. So I will be able to write again soon. I'm still not letting him read anything, though. Just wish I hadn't erased my warden story from 2009. *facepalm*

On the subject of appearance, my infiltrator Kate Shep is in a foul mood. She's back on the Normandy, and they seem to have removed the option for white armor. It's all lightish grey with dark grey chest plate patches she was always a white with blue pattern (or in ME1 she was in the pale white camo armor) and now she's lost one of her main identifiers.

Hoping some of the other chest plate options will tint to white better than the default, I like my sheps to wear their colors! She's also lost her auburn hair, it's now a dark brown color - overall she looks better than she did in 1 and 2, but it's the little things like this that make me have to rewrite her in my head to fit the new design.

I had a hard time coloring my armor the way i wanted too, which is sad given how many more colour choices there is. I also wished there was actual texture options so I could get something more metallic-looking instead of hard plastic. 

For this Shepard, my go-to squad has been Kaidan and Vega, who both have a cool silver & blue set. I wanted to co-ordinate, but the best I could get was light grey plastic. <_< I ended up reversing the pallet and going dark blue/grey.

Sometimes you have to get mad to quit dancing around things and achieve some resolution.  Very glad to hear it's working out  .

I think my favourite is either the default blue or its CE alternate version. Both just so good I'm so happy with this armor, it's one of the very best in the entire franchise and Kaidan got it!

I always start Kaidan in his shiny, new armorand then switch him later when it makes sense to me that the sparkly finish would have gotten pretty worn, usually around Thessia.

I'm at work so I can't copy and paste the link for that fanfic article but I promise I'll post it when I'm on a real computer. Leborum, I'm glad you got things out in the open with your husband. Sometimes a good airing out is all a topic needs!

YAY! I am so happy for you leborum!!  I'm sorry that you lost all your previous writings, but that just gives you reason to write doubly the amount now to replace them all .

I got up to horizon last night on my ME2 run on the PC.  I have to say...I mostly laughed after seeing chibievils video with the fly cam.  All I could think was Garrus lying on the ground and Kaidan leaning back while doing all this serious coversation.

Okay, finally started ME1 again as a femshep, just spent the last hour on the title screen (i just love Vigil )

So this is my plan of attack

ME1: infiltrator
Kill off ashley
Romance Kaidan
Keep rachnai queen alive
Save the council
Keep wrex alive

ME2: Vanguard
when i died, i lost all my tech skills, but gained some powerful biotics
Gain all loyalties
Keep everyone alive
Spare Malons data
Kill the heritics
Kill morolith
No romances

ME3: sentinal
After been locked up for 6 months i've lost most of my soldier abilites, however my tech abilities have reappeared

And so on and so forth


Now, any ideas i should add or change because you lot mean alot to me so i'd like your ideas

My last playthrough I put him in the grey fatigues. Currently, as I mentioned earlier, he's in the silver. I like the grey fatigues the best though, I feel like it's closer to his light armor roots and looks more spec ops.

And there's no pesky metal plates to hinder the view.

Default blue because it has +25% bonus to cooldowns. I sometimes use Engineer armor too for its Power Damage bonus. I love the grey version of his default armor, but it has Weapon Damage bonus, not that useful for Kaidan. The big tank armor I never use. I don't really like how it looks and my Kaidan is speced in a way taht he doesn't need anymore Shields bonus, he never dies

How do you guys spec you Kaidan's powers?

I used to always put him in the Black armour with pants. I really love those pants. On my most recent playthrough I took y'alls suggestion of the blue stripe armour and it's my new favorite. It's got benefits I wasn't aware of my first time through...

Plus I think it ups his power recharge or power damage which is nice.

Yeah the armor bonuses should've been displayed without having to click "more info". Many people weren't even aware there were any
