I've never changed my Shepard's classes before (I usually make a new gameplay for each class), so I was wondering what makes a player want to change it from one game to another...

Oh my - yeah, proof it's the damn VAs that get me truly hooked on characters. The Garrus purr is a very close runner up behind the Kaidan husky whisper that melts you into a puddle. The Thane quiet and just damn sexy is my third favorite... 

But yeah, watching OUAT the other day I did close my eyes briefly and there was a Kaidan there. Raphael's awesome.

Umm, yes.  I don't know how he does it.  Which is why I love Garrus, albeit less than I love Kaidan.

Seriously, the voice acting in the Mass Effect series is pretty amazing.  Martin Sheen, Jennifer Hale, Carrie-Ann Moss, Seth Green.  The cast is epic and amazing at what they do.

And you're right, to add to that list, Raphael Sbarge is totally awesome.

Bioware's gotten me so spoiled with the awesome VA work, anymore I can't stand to play games with unconvincing actors. Which is why I've only substantially played the Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Uncharted series (what's the plural for series?) in the past year  I love it when VAs actually put emotion and effort into their work, looking back on some other games makes me wonder what the heck other actors were thinking as the read their lines, they can just sound so bored. But there are moments in ME where you can actually feel that the voicers are trying not to laugh, or smiling, or holding back tears. Kaidan and Garrus' goodbye scenes in particular, along with the cut Anderson dialogue, are so moving...
And it makes the characters all that much more real.

That's what makes Chobot so awful; that compared to the rest of the cast, she's so wooden that you can't help but notice it.

Raphael Sbarge is just so great. Until he did that interview earlier this year I didn't know about the Horizon letter he did and holy crap, I just died. It completely reversed my feelings on the letter itself and I was totally smitten.

He just seems so nice and genuine and he really brings everything he can to his roles. I read somewhere that he's divorced; what kind of soulless monster could do that...?!
