This was the reasoning I went by when my main Shep sent Kaidan with the salarians. Who else to send but her most trusted officer to get the job done? I was meaning to have her send Ashley off with the salarians instead for fear for Kaidan's safety, but I promptly slapped myself and was reminded that they were in a military setting. xP They're marines first and "bunkmates" second - at least, that's how my Shepard sees it. No offense meant to those who think different.meonlyred wrote...
If there is another situation in ME3 where Shepard has to send one of her team off, similar to the sending Kaidan/Ash with the Salarians or the Leader of the Fire-Team, Kaidan is definitely going. (As long as did doesn't get him killed) I agree with Gilsa, I sent Garrus with the Fire-Team because Shepard trusts him and knows he can do it. Same thing with Kaidan, I'm willing not to have Kaidan by Shepard's side if he means him doing something good. Though I hope for at least 90% of the game that Kaidan will at least be on the Normandy and/or by Shepard's side.
Though I have to admit, the tech guy = bomb is a tempting (and perfectly valid) thought... I think I might give it a go this time around. I can't decide which route fits better for my Shep. xD
