That's also a good point.


Thinking about the structure of events at the beginning of ME1 though, the seemingly instant bond they have isn't too surprising, even if they didn't know each other before. Within minutes of being on the ground, they lose Jenkins, and then all the other crap happens, and then at the end of the mission (speaking from the FemShep perspective, anyways, since she's the only "canon" romance option for him in ME1), she saves his life by directly endangering her own.

Since the only interaction you have with him before that is on the bridge, it's hard to guage if there's any existing familiarity prior ro getting surface-side, and after, it's no wonder at all, really.

So, yeah... speculations for everyone!

I don't think they knew eachother before Eden Prime. I think Kaidan "knew" Shepard from her/his military backround. Seeing as she/he was somewhat famous in the Alliance, I'm sure Kaidan heard the thing or two about her/him.

Glad you liked it I think I'm mostly done with my broody, angsty writing for Leah, so it should be mostly fluff from now on. Unless I fall into some kind of depression and let it out on my characters

There are way too many Johnsons as former presidents. Why couldn't they all be Garfield or some other weird name?

/sigh I can relate, I've been listening to the soundtrack the last couple of days and crying has been a companion for most of it...

I was making progress on my two on-going ME fics when a plot bunny ran by with Vega in its mouth performing a complicated handshake with Shepard right before she notices Kaidan standing there. It came with a theme song and everything. Now I've done nothing but work on that for two days.

There was nothing worse in ME3 than having Kaidan say "I can't lose you again" knowing that my Shepard was going to die no matter what I did...:crying:
